irc session?
86  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: January 07, 2014, 02:56:39 PM
it wouldn't be for mining.  It would be pre-mined, and they would represent shares which would then be distributed.
It would be no different than actually holding shares..
87  Economy / Services / Re: [SERVICE] MINING RIG CLEANING on: January 07, 2014, 02:35:13 PM
I don't think anyone would be interested in this service, too much risk, loss of hash rate and the fact that you can buy a pack of air dusters for probably less then it would cost to ship to you.

I told a friend about this ad, and we both burst out laughing before I could even finish the story.  Yeah, what a great idea, LOL

This is why I was trying to contact StilWell Baker... to see if they are involved in the board assembly at all. Ken isn't going to have his family flowing eASIC BGA onto the boards. or soldering transistors and resistors. They are just going to plug stuff in and use electric drills.

Well if we are using StilWell Baker that is very cool, I would expect them to be able to handle everything except building the ASIC. If we are using StilWell Baker they could easily manufacture the entire card and deliver it to Ken as a product.

I hope our chip delays haven't messed up our position in the StilWell production queue

You have absolutely NOTHING to worry about.  Everything will be on schedule.
91  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: January 07, 2014, 04:51:29 AM
The only theory I could come up with is that they know they are about to experience a delay, but they don't want potential customers to read the frustration of december customers..
The most important question is how long this delay will last.  I phoned them today and she told me they should be shipping "any day now", and aiming to start shipping by the end of this week.  But she told the same story last week as well.

They are way too quiet right now..
I think they are doing just fine, but they want to hold the machines for a little while to make some quick cash.. which should be illegal.  If they want to use the old "testing phase" excuse, then at least forward those bitcoins to the customers during any testing phase of mining..they are ours

Cointerra has stopped approving posts in their forum since Dec 31.
Is anyone starting to get nervous, or is it just me?
93  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: January 07, 2014, 04:21:30 AM
Looks like Icedrill may be going the quiet scam route..
no update when updates are needed most..
what a dirty game

Whoever that is, he's seriously pissed right?

Yeah I know, right  Cheesy

But seriously, it just appears to be only trolls here because the normal shareholders seriously don't give a flying fuck about this thread. We know everything will work out, you just need a little bit of patience.
The time and effort some guys here spend on trolling is unbelievable. Some of us have normal lives and jobs, so I assume VE, Crumbs and so on are quite young and Bitcoin is their first investment so they are freaking out thinking everything should be done now but that just not how it works.

I still have faith in Ken and this company and I'm sure in a couple of month the trolls will be quiet too  Smiley

Do you realize with every month of delay, our potential profitability gets cut in half?
Now do the math.. take a number, split it in half once for november, split it again in december, and once more in janruary.
Can you see why people are upset?

isn't the term "trolling" to refer to someone who gets everyone worked up over NOTHING on the internet?
i wouldn't say this is nothing.  this delay is not only excessive but unexplained.  "trolling" isn't even the right word in here anymore, seeing as how its all quite justified.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: January 06, 2014, 05:15:47 PM
I hope cointerra realizes that the rig could be exposed to temperatures far below 0 during transportation through cold regions.  I'm worried about the freezing point of their cooling liquid... Is this taken into account for up ~ -40 celcius?

if anybody is crazy enough to send their miner for you, even for 24 hours, I will eat my balls
