81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: September 12, 2020, 08:55:07 AM
Another member of the holder army here. I tried being a day trader back in 2017 but it was way too stressful, especially when the price action of the coin didn't follow the expected pattern of TA. So now I try to sniff out promising projects and hodl them thorough pain and glory.

83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: September 11, 2020, 01:20:35 PM
I stopped shilling crypto to people I know in real life a while ago. If they have questions, I would gladly answer them, but nothing more. I dont want to be responsible for any failed investment and feel guilty as a consequence, or even worse, shatter relationships with people because of it. Most "normies" are naive with their money and can rapidly step on a crypto mine or two, so nah, let the media lure them into the crypto space instead.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Changelly Big fees! BECARE! Don't use as their fees are horrible and insane! on: September 11, 2020, 01:08:36 PM
I have been using Changelly without a problem for a while. Those absurdly high fees are a consequence of ETH network and have nothing to do with Changelly itself, try to make a swap on Kyber or Uniswap when ETH network is clogged, you will get the same result.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I like to collect the token on: September 11, 2020, 01:05:39 PM
I mean, it surely must get messy as hell after a longer period of time, especially with those useless tokens that are not listed even years after their creation. After a while you probably come to a point when you want to clean up your wallet and send those tokens to some random ETH address just to tidy up the space, or maybe not, some people are prone to hoarding I suppose.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the best time to buy Kick? on: September 11, 2020, 12:55:06 PM
As some others stated above me, I would avoid Kick at all costs, especially after they have pulled that publicity stunt with supply manipulation and pumped the coin into the top 100. Of course after that it dumped massively again and in the process it probably burned hundreds of naive investors. Its a shady projects with a shady team who are trying to play dirty just to get attention.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers, the biggest crypto problem on: September 11, 2020, 12:47:04 PM
I only had 2 experiences with scammers in my crypto "career", the latest one sadly costed me a nice bag of ETHs, but hell, I learned my lesson the hard way. The only thing I have been noticing lately is scammers that are filling bounty spreadsheets with bot accounts, its extremely annoying to look at, but imagine how annoying it is for bounty managers who have to weed out all of those thousands entries one by one.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does Polkadot crypto come to 7th position? is a scam? on: September 11, 2020, 12:41:48 PM
It may seem like a scam or a pump and dump scheme, but only if you did not pay attention for the past few years and it didn't come from nowhere as it has been in development for years. Its ecosystem is growing constantly, so I am pretty sure Polkadot is here to stay and it will be one of the biggest infrastructures in crypto as well.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: September 06, 2020, 09:18:02 PM
Bzx was one of those late paying projects and now look at it, recently it reached its ATH at almost 2$ and they paid thousands of tokens to social media campaign participants, so it was well worth the wait. But yes, most of those late paying projects tend to fail either way, so even if you receive your long forgotten tokens, they tend to be close to worthless.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you earned in one year on: September 06, 2020, 09:13:44 PM
Nothing much, not worth of a mention, but then again, I was on a bounty hunting hiatus for a big portion of 2019 and 2020. I imagine that some others who kept going regardless the poor market conditions scored some decent deals and are now sowing the crops of their work in this soon to be bull market. I am expecting that the bounty hunting season will start flourishing soon, so we shall again mentally prepare ourselves for a grind.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: September 06, 2020, 09:05:26 PM
I remember multiple projects that got the score "high" or "very high" on IcoDrops back in 2017 and 2018 and now they are nowhere to be found. So even highly respected crypto rating services/sites are wrong quite often. Now take a look at IcoBench and other "pay for a high score" sites and you will rapidly loose all of the trust in this crypto niche.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: September 06, 2020, 09:54:22 AM
This is mostly true for most of the tokens, but there are of course exceptions as well. A lot of people get scared when seeing that circulating supply is 1% of the total supply, but they are not aware that there could be different mechanisms behind it and those locked tokens could be used for in-app/service functionalities and being burned constantly.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid big commissions to pay ethereum ? on: September 06, 2020, 09:45:09 AM
Right now it is a good opportunity to execute any planned transactions as the ETH gas fees are back to the (new) normal. When this sell-off ends and we find the bottom, the fees will surely skyrocket again, so at least there is a single good aspect of this short term bearish craze that is happening right now.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap on: September 06, 2020, 09:41:23 AM
Right now it is actually easier to operate as an Uniswap trader as the ETH network is less saturated than it has been only 2 or 3 days ago, but on the other hand, the chances of scoring insane ROI-s is lower as most people are waiting out this massive market sell-off and are avoiding any kind of trading, so its kind of a double edged sword.

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I go into this crypto???? on: September 05, 2020, 08:52:40 AM
As other pointed out already, its extremely risky to invest in 6 or 7 years old project that has a very low liquidity and exposure. These kind of projects tend to go into obscurity pretty fast, but hey, if the team is active and they are actively developing and pushing towards their goal, maybe they can rise out of the ashes.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Fees on: September 05, 2020, 08:37:06 AM
The fees are definitely insane right now, especially when sending ERC-20 tokens, but if you are not in a hurry, you can try to avoid the saturation peaks of the network. Make your transaction at non-prime times, early in the morning or late in the evening for example, that way you can save a buck or two pretty quickly.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap on: September 05, 2020, 08:31:42 AM
I successfully swapped on Uniswap couple of times and it was a mixed bag, putting the insanely high swap fees on the side, failed transactions were even a bigger pain in the ass. At the moment Uniswap is more of a playground for whales as they can afford the high costs of trading there, but still, its a much welcomed tool for an occasional trade or two.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with scam copycats of YFI on: September 05, 2020, 08:26:46 AM
I have dipped my fingers into the yield farming scene recently, for the first and the last time, got burned hard by Kimchi, but I was kinda expecting it, so I put in only a small amount. I feel that the farming irrationality is subsiding tho, these new projects that are listing now tend to pump just once and then they die off, leaving a lot of broke folks in their wake.
