81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH London fork on: May 01, 2021, 09:26:05 PM
The last upgrade (Berlin) of the ETH mainnet that was released on 15 April is constantly pushing the price to new all time highs.
This upgrade came with improved protocol (EIP-2929) that had a significant impact on smart contracts gas fees.

London fork will also come with a lot of attention to the fees but more important it will improve smart contracts functionality.
The team are testing the possibility of paying the fees for a smart contract with the same token.

Take this below example for a current price fee:
Broadcasted TX/sec - 20.51
Mempool count - 75,000+
Median TXs per block - 223.00
Median gas price - 60.00
Results to a contract fee around $16.33

So with the London upgrade (EIP-2930) and the possibility of paying the fees with another ETH token they are estimating a median drop to 20 GWEI.

Will this attract more businesses? I mean, a lot of them are showing much interest in paying fees with a stable coin.

Also how much further it will push the price? What is your opinion on this?

20 GWEI is still too much for micro transactions. If you want to have applications that need to scale up a lot it is still problematic. Especially if the price of Ethereum rises. That would be good and evil at the same time. If Ethereum rises and you have 20 GWEI you still can't run applications that need very low fees in order for them to function and be adopted broadly.

Are you picky with ICOs?

LOL, this question made my day.
Fuck yeah i'm picky, i invested in a wide range of ico's, from shitcoints to golden 100x coins.
So yeah, unless you wanna burn money, be picky

IC what? ICO? Does that still exist? Honestly ICOs are pretty much done. 99% of them are scams operating with opaque presale procedures and unfair pricing that nobody can verify. Once they go live the premine and presale coins for special seed investors and advisors get dumped. Game over for anyone else who bought in public sale. It worked in 2017 because there was enough capital to absorb the illegal dumps of those scammers.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 01, 2021, 08:57:37 PM
I really hope for this to happen. I mean this was 320 dollars or so THIS MONTH and we are talking about 620+ dollars right now, that should show you how much people like BNb and how much they care about it as well. I personally like it and I think it is one of the best coins out there right now, evident from BNB being top 3  right now (and for a while).

The end result is reaching 1k is nothing at all for BNB, it can do that in a month very easily hell it could take a week if there is a huge bull run, but will it? Nobody knows this. Why do we know that reaching 1k is easy but there could still be no way it could reach there? Well simply because if the market goes up, then BNB goes up as well, but I do not expect BNB to keep going up if the market crashes again. Which is why we need to wait and see what the market does, if it goes up then BNB at 1k is very simple.

It's because there is the ongoing burning from real profits earned by the company backing it. BNB has a real product and no empty or potential promises. It's in a great position to grow, but the question is when does the total valuation not make sense anymore? For Binance as a business certain measures should apply as they do to other businesses as well.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto World Isn’t Being crazy , but it is the future . on: May 01, 2021, 08:53:52 PM
Have no idea about the latter that you're saying but if it's about cryptocurrencies, we can define it that it's here to stay.

Despite there were a lot of backlashes before in the entire crypto market, it's existence is here to stay but majority of the altcoins can be said that they will last as long as there's liquidity.

While for bitcoin, the future of it no doubt great including those altcoins that are found at the top of the rankings.

There weren't really backlashes unless you only focus on price talk. Since that is what most want to discuss really it feels like there were backlashes. One backlash is maybe something like Mt. Gox. But the code never broke and Bitcoin delivered all the time. I can't see a point in the past where anything was close to failure.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Eyes on BTC Dominance! on: April 30, 2021, 09:29:57 PM
The dominance will vary over time. When Bitcoin increases its dominance will increase and afterwards comes a time where Bitcoin holders take there Bitcoin and invest them into alts. Once there is a sell off of alts some of that goes back into Bitcoin, increasing its dominance again. That's my train of thought about this.
This happens mostly because of retail investors, once the performance of bitcoin begins to slow down they turn their head to altcoins thinking they can get better profits, this creates a self-fulfilling prophecy as the profits altcoins produce begin to go up as more people decide to do the same.

However the increase in the price of altcoins comes from speculation, which means that as soon as the price increase of bitcoin resumes many retail investors leave altcoins behind and comeback to bitcoin producing a crash on the altcoin market.

It's like a mania. When I talk to friends who are in Bitcoin during the bull run, as soon as the bull run calms down the mania starts about what altcoin to pick now. Dozens of suggestions and explanations why that one is better than this one and what not .

Fact of the matte is that altcoin trading can be a great way to reap massive profits if you make the right picks.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What goes up must come down on: April 30, 2021, 09:26:59 PM
What goes up can stagnate or come down but not to where it came from. How about that sentence? We also won't go back to 3,000 and even them some people said what goes up must come down. Maybe we come down a little bit, but the tendency is what really is important.
Some people do expect a decrease when they don't have time to buy at a low price, but those who have bought always expect a sharp increase so they can get profits in the near future, but in fact there is always a decline for tokens that have reached ATH.

You talk tautological stuff, but who cares. If Bitcoin becomes a world currency reserve it might in fact never really come down even if it is at its new all time high and even if it reaches further all time highs.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in BNB now? on: April 30, 2021, 09:25:25 PM
In my opinion, BNB is very safe to invest in, not only safe, but I think BNB has become an important part of the crypto world, and BNB still has great potential to grow and rise more than this, maybe even be able to shift ETH's position someday.

Would you recommend your grandpa and grandma to put all the money they have into BNB? That's what I understand when an investment is VERY safe. I don't understand how this can be said as if there was no risk involved. There is risk involved and yes it is a good investment opportunity, but nothing else.
Would I put my money into BNB? Yes I would put my money into BNB but I don't consider it very safe. I consider it promising.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin high fee has brought dogecoin to limelight on: April 29, 2021, 11:11:25 PM
The advantage with Dogecoin is that although the block size is similar to that of Bitcoin (1MB), on average the blocks are mined every one minute instead of 10 minutes as the case with Bitcoin. And due to low acceptability of Dogecoin, the Mempool is almost always empty (although this may change in the future). Eventually Bitcoin will lose out because the miners have refused to lower the transaction fee. But it will be too early at this point to predict whether DOGE will benefit out of it.

In the end Bitcoin will lose out? What about scaling solutions? Everything in life scales. Cars scale, bicycles scale, hardware scales, and Bitcoin will also scale, it just needs time.

Scaling solutions are underway and once they are rolled out step by step (which is not easy to do), it will take time until some of them are sufficiently understood by the uses in regards to how to use them (e.g. lightning channels). Hopefully, most of them don't even need some extra effort on behalf of the user. That would be the best case scenario.

I agree that the magic should happen in the backend or on the protocol level. If there are users that are not overly tech-savvy, it will be hard to convince them to use a complicated technology in their everyday life.

They won't do it as we all prefer easy solutions and go for compromises when it makes life a little bit easier. Although we sometimes shouldn't.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: April 29, 2021, 11:09:09 PM
Monero won't replace but Bitcoin, but Bitcoin has to evolve in terms of privacy in my opinion. With companies like Chainalysis Bitcoin is not as safe to use as many think. You can easily be tracked down and fully screened once you get identified as the owner of an address. Nobody really wants transact in public all the time.

I hope they will improve Bitcoin at some point in terms of anonymity.
Does that mean the development of Bitcoin, which you think is not enough? because I don't find many complaints for Bitcoin users at this time, so it means that the developments in Bitcoin are very mature in my opinion.

It is not about complaints. It is a fact that Bitcoin is not anonymous. Check out Edward Snowden interviews how authorities are already watching Bitcoin transactions very very closely! They can't do it with Monero. That is why Monero is interesting for many purposes and Bitcoin needs to adopt privacy features, or let me emphasize STRONG privacy features.

If Bitcoin can do that, nothing will replace it ever I think. Except when its algorithm breaks, but that is not likely at this point in time.
Even not being anonymous bitcoin is still the king and no altcoins can surpass the first crypto currency among all. Maybe it is due to the fact bitcoin is the original crypto currency, while all the others were copied somehow from it, although some altcoins have extra advantages, features or characteristics, like monero and ethereum.
Bitcoin has gain the trust from many investors to build its reputation and it will take a very long time yet until an altcoin can overcome the bitcoin's legacy. Probably people alive right now won't be able to see it happening during their lifetime.

So what happens if companies with analytics technology start sniffing into your life and find out every single detail about you? More and more, nothing you can hide, zero privacy. Do you think you would start using an anonymity currency? I would. Even if you don't, what if your friend tells you to send Bitcoin anymore because he doesn't want everybody else to know you guys are transacting? Will you say no to your friend? If you don't care about your anonymity or privacy, you are also hurting your friends' desires for privacy.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in BNB now? on: April 29, 2021, 11:06:38 PM
In this March, I can't make my own satisfactory trade due to my wrong decision and research. But I got some profit from BNB and used buy back policy again and again. Today, I sold my all BNB token at around $245 but now it is still bullish in mood. The next major resistance is located at the $300 level. So I need some suggestions whether I go for buying it again or should I stop here.

My advice is that if you are trading short term then you better buy it back. because BNB is an altcoin that has a large volume in various markets, so its movement is fairly fast. however if you want to trade long term then you better look for other altcoins that do not have a bigger risk and have the potential to increase in the future.

How does that make sense? You are literally saying that BNB is no good long term investment? BNB is probably among the top three alt coins out there with the highest growth potential. Solid team, solid funding, solid ideas and more.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not panic sell when there is dump on: April 28, 2021, 09:32:14 AM
Sometimes when a coin pumps hard and starts to dump, novice will panic sell due to fear or other reasons, while the whales will buy up the dump and mop it all and then pump it even harder.... So don't always panic sell, be in control of your emotions, although it isn't easy, but with practice you will perfect and master it.......Every new trade is a journey and a new destination...... Always dyor

What do you think about this circumstance ? am i overthinking this ? share your views.
Trading with altcoins with high hype is a high risk if you are late in buying and continue to insist you will get a loss due to the dump of these altcoins. now I myself am more selective not to buy carelessly especially with the fluctuating market like today. you better choose another altcoin that can be analyzed with technical analysis.

I am not a friend of technical analysis in this market. Often times the pojects are highly speculative and news have so much influence. How do you use technical analysis when an unexpected event happens? That is less often the case in the stock market.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Million BNB Burnt today on: April 20, 2021, 12:19:43 AM
Hey,

If you are not aware of this, Binance today burnt 1 Million BNB worth $500 Million dollars. What is the expected price jump in BNB due to this?

Would love to know your feedback

The recent price pump in BNB token is as a result of buy the rumour and sell the news, this has been priced into the price again anyone buying expecting the price to go up now is going to lose money short term. I am very bullish on the tokens long term but if you think this burnt is going to affect the price after announcement then you have missed the opportunity

Still I don't like that there seem to only be rumors upfront about burning. Does Binance not announce in advance when those burns will approximately happen?

New to crypto will surely have a lot to learn especially controlling their feelings when there is a massive corrections in the market because for sure they are scared of their investment turned to zero that's why they intended of losing than having profit of panic selling.
this stage in everyone's life must happen sooner or later. Those who entered recently and received the first negative will force them to reconsider their attitude to trading. Here not only trade is a plus - this is life.

Learning by experiencing Wink Otherwise you don't really get used to the temporary pain, you really have to experience it. It is annoying but an important part of the learning process if you ask me.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: April 20, 2021, 12:14:39 AM
Monero must be number one
I don't think that Monero can replace Bitcoin, Rather, Bitcoin remains number one and Ethereum number two, Monero is a good currency, but not like these two currencies, which have a market value of millions and have popularity and daily use.
That's right, and I have to laugh big when someone says Monero will replace Bitcoin, because until now Bitcoin is still firmly at the top in first place, others remain below it and often bully through untrue news and exaggerated speculation.

Monero won't replace but Bitcoin, but Bitcoin has to evolve in terms of privacy in my opinion. With companies like Chainalysis Bitcoin is not as safe to use as many think. it's still safe for now because sooner or later the bnb will go up in my opinion. although now the price is still unstable due to the burn that has occurred but for now I think BNB has a bright future. it's just a matter of time and the best position for BNB to fly.
but apart from that bnb i think promising

See you bring up the time horizon. I agree in that it will probably go up at some point, but when? So don't invest money you need in three months from now or otherwise you could get into trouble.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it that Ethereum is closed source but other currency being open source? on: April 18, 2021, 08:08:37 AM
Why is it that Ethereum source code is not found on Github where people can actively contribute to it and also why isn't Vitalik Buterin actively working on the source code on Github or am I missing out on anything? Their competitor "Cardano" is open sourced and anyone can submit a PR to actively work on the project which I feel is very beneficial to the community.

I am not sure why you think Ethereum is closed source? Do you mean certain protocol updates?

As far as I know Ethereum is fully open source. Otherwise it wouldn't hold that much value. Nobody in his right mind would put billions into the network without knowing whether the source code contains some backdoors.

As for updates, I don't know how transparent they are about that during the research and coding phase.
