Monero must be number one
I don't think that Monero can replace Bitcoin, Rather, Bitcoin remains number one and Ethereum number two, Monero is a good currency, but not like these two currencies, which have a market value of millions and have popularity and daily use.
That's right, and I have to laugh big when someone says Monero will replace Bitcoin, because until now Bitcoin is still firmly at the top in first place, others remain below it and often bully through untrue news and exaggerated speculation.

Monero won't replace but Bitcoin, but Bitcoin has to evolve in terms of privacy in my opinion. With companies like Chainalysis Bitcoin is not as safe to use as many think. You can easily be tracked down and fully screened once you get identified as the owner of an address. Nobody really wants transact in public all the time.

I hope they will improve Bitcoin at some point in terms of anonymity.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Currently, altcoins are growing rapidly, and some say that this year is the year of altcoins, where there are so many altcoins that have sprung up and thrived this year, but I don, 't think that altcoins will replace the bitcoin at all, because I think BTC is the eye.  The first digital money was created, and BTC is the parent of all altcoins, so, it is highly unlikely that BTC will be replaced by altcoins,

Ask yourself the questions why and how alt coins could and should replace Bitcoin. I can't see any reason for some alt to replace Bitcoin at this point in time in regards to the purpose Bitcoin serves right now.

I guess this will be a continuous argument until when ever but I too dont see this happening any time soon or even never. The price of some Alts might be that good but I still dont see the Alt that will replace Bitcoin. Some Alts might have developed some features that makes them a bit more faster or cheaper for transaction but for some reason, Bitcoin will continue to retain its dominance in crypto.

We don't know if this is going to happen, but it is possible. Previously we have seen Bitcoin losing a lot of dominance and reaching a bottom of around 35%.
Technology is not static but progressing and anybody that thinks we will forever have only Bitcoin dominating is wrong. I think that maybe one day with mass adoption changes will be made.
Bitcoin is for the time being "digital gold". It managed to reach a trillion dollar market cap, which is 1/10th of golds market cap.

The whole crypto market reaches closer to 2.5 trillion dollars, however this is not a fair value. It is inflated and probably soon will start dropping again.
Maybe we are very close to the end of the current bull run we are experiencing. However this will affect negatively the alternative cryptocurrencies.

Who knows, maybe in another four years, there will be an altcoin to replace Bitcoin and become dominant. I don't think it will be Ethereum though.

I'm a big supporter of BTC and think it's earned its spot at the top - will be very difficult to replace.

However, technology moves fast - real fast.  I don't think Bitcoin has much to worry about for the next five years, but after that it's impossible to tell.  BTC has every chance of keeping up with the pace of things with second- and third-layer advancements - but there's a chance it doesn't.

Which also doesn't mean that it will always be 'on top' of the charts... it's entirely possible that something completely pointless (looking at you Doge) is able to achieve a higher market cap just through sheer market mania.  Doesn't mean it has replaced anything.

Bitcoin is becoming a force that transcends crypto limits and becomes a store of value in the world. No matter how developed altcoins are, it is still difficult to replace Bitcoin for many reasons.
I can list a few characteristics such as Decentralization, the scarcity over time-based on the mining algorithm, worldwide acceptance, the anonymity of the founder that creates a solid trust.
Altcoins can surpass Bitcoin in terms of technology, but will not change people's views on Bitcoin. That is the reason why no crypto has surpassed Bitcoin in value for many years.

In my own opinion, bitcoin is still leading compaired to all digital currency. Because of being popular and its stability, the value of it is still getting high. Nowadays, many people used it as alternative to pay their bills and other expenses. And ofcourse there is a lot of altcoins that have a great potential and succeeded.

Monero must be number one

Well, from your avatar alone i know you are a Monero coin fan, may i know why you said Monero is number one ?
I mean, in the term of private coin, yes i think Monero is the father of privacy coin.
There are a lot of good coins out there such as bnb, doge, eth could replace bitcoin in the future.

- Altcoins are growing fast but it is not entirely their endeavor and potential, part of the success that began with the rise of bitcoin, the market data generally shows that as a lot of old projects return to past highs due to bitcoin making new highs. This fact clearly states that altcoins are always slower than bitcoin is relatively much in many ways, from price to location and prestige, it is difficult to create intimidation while bitcoin only needs a slight fever, the altcoin market is also infested with the disease, having even worse symptoms and not being able to recover quickly.

Seeing the development of the crypto world from year to year, in my opinion nothing can beat bitcoin even to compete with it is very difficult, many new altcoins are made with the aim to compete with bitcoin but the ends are in vain, because bitcoin is a financial revolution that continues developing over time without anyone being able to match it.

Maybe it's just rhetoric. Many issues say like that. for me,, BTC is still the coolest and most fundamental.

As long as there are investors who are still investing in bitcoin, I think Bitcoin has never been replaced by any altcoin. I think there are more and more interest in bitcoin every day, so it is impossible for bitcoin to be replaced.

It is not just difficult but it will be completely impossible. I have been watching such debate for years but I am sure none of us has come up with any proper reasons to have altcoins to be replacing bitcoins. When we are unable to find a reason itself, how it will be happening practically? So, I am strongly believing this kind of debate will never seed anything into real life.

If you consider bitcoin dominance in crypto space against altcoin is shrinking but that is not a measurement that we need to consider the potential of bitcoins but that is just an indication who is enjoying more new investors and nothing else.

Bitcoin has become the benchmark of value in crypto, replacing it is like an impossibility, but if it is true that it is true about altcoins that have the potential to grow, we can see that ETH, BNB, even Dogecoin are currently showing impressive growth.

I see a lot of questions like this and my take on it is that it is just ridiculous to ask this kind of question. Bitcoin is the first-ever cryptocurrency and the market cap is very large I do not see any new project that will challenge Bitcoin because the market cap is very large and it is the first-ever cryptocurrency. Although they are projects that are better than Bitcoin but they do not come anywhere near their utilisation or the uses of Bitcoin

Well, I think that as long as altcoins are still heavily influenced by bitcoin, I don't think there will be any altcoins that can replace bitcoin. in fact, since the past, there have been so many coins that have tried to surpass bitcoin. even some coins already have a larger transaction volume, or even a higher price. however, when the bitcoin price moves, other coins will be affected.

although altcoins are in a positive trend at the moment, and the growth is very significant, it is impossible to replace bitcoin in crypto, because in my opinion bitcoin is the first digital currency created in crypto and BTC is heaven for all altcoins, where things often happen in  market if BTC goes down, altcoins also follow.  and vice versa if BTC goes up altcoins will also crawl up, altcoins cannot replace btc forever,

No altcoin will ever compete with btcoin for now. the reason is quite simple that bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies. the existence of altcoins also because of bitcoin.
Current exchange rates for altcoins also use bitcoin. if it is replaced then it is the same as there is a new technology that is better than blockchain and makes cryptocurrency no longer in people's favor

Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?
Not gonna happen in our time now , Though there are some altcoins that has been said of being a good coins yet the value and support for bitcoin is still high and cannot be beaten that easy.

In years maybe , but for now no clarity about this to happen.

Will Altcoin replace bitcoin? ... I don't think so, although there are some promising coin that they say would predict to be replacement to bitcoin, but still bitcoin still bitcoin and they already been tested it for years, bitcoin is getting bigger and wider in scope and they opted to choose bitcoin than any other altcoin.
You cannot tell what will happen in future mate, things may change at time .
