81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Move... on: March 10, 2022, 08:04:46 AM
Do you think converting my XRP holdings to Solana for long term hold is a smart move?

it could be the best choice. solana has great potential, I'm sure if it's about long term investment then it will to the moon. What I see is Solana's potential is like BSC, and it might be over 500$ in the future. so long term hold is a good choice. and one thing i know, XRP is not very good long term. just look, from 2017 until now the price of XRP is not very good. so your choice is a good choice.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia has attacked nuclear power plant in Ukraine on: March 09, 2022, 12:14:21 PM
President Putin is making a reckless move that will cost so many lives in Europe and taking the war towards a nuclear power plant is not a proper step. What kind of intention does he have for the Europeans?

Let the idiot Putin continue destroying his country by his actions by drawing so many sanctions to Russia. Economy, football, entertainment and others are getting sanctioned in Russia by Europe. Let us watch how Russia will come out of all this. He brags because of his nuclear ammunitions and want to make himself another Adolph Hitler. The world will also conquer him too.

if you look at it from the russian side, they just want to defend their country against all odds. this war exists because ukraine wants to join NATO. if from the beginning ukraine became a neutral country and did not side with anyone, i don't think this would have happened. So we can't judge that Putin is an idiot, it's just a matter of point of view. Speaking of sanctions, Russia can still fight back by stopping gas supplies for Europe. if this happens there will probably be problems on the plains of europe later.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Promising Altcoins That Failed? on: March 06, 2022, 04:17:44 AM
Which altcoins from the last few years where there was a lot of positive talk about it has failed?  And by failed, it means either it has went to 0 or it could be worth very little.  Like it could been 50 dollars at one point and now 0.50.
I know one name which is EOS. When this coin was launched many said that this project would be an ethereum killer. but today we see EOS is not even one of the choices of the project developers. I see no one is using their network. and the price of EOS has fallen greatly. maybe these coins have lost 90% since their last ATH. in 2018-2019 eos is still in the top 10 largest marketcap. but right now EOS is way below.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100,000 Marketing Budget For A New Project. Opinions Needed. on: March 05, 2022, 10:40:45 AM
1. airdrop, this method is effective even though there is a lot of cheating from the participants
2. ads, this is the usual way. this method is effective depending on how much budget you allocate for this.
3. bounty campaign, this is also good to consider. many projects can be famous thanks to this way.
4. Hiring influencers, you can work with influencers or crypto media to make videos/articles that discuss articles about your project. You can also use them as brand ambassadors if needed. This method may cost a lot of money. but quite effective because people trust the influencers they follow more.

Those are some ways to market your project that are quite effective. you can do all that or choose the one that you think is good.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governments that accept Bitcoin for public services on: March 04, 2022, 09:58:12 AM
so it means government adoption is not a dream anymore. If in the past everyone thought the government was anti-crypto, now that assumption is slowly starting to be doubted. everything began to change, and slowly became something mainstream. So I won't be surprised if in the future, countries like China, America, or other big countries will fully adopt it.

And I saw the Russia walking towards it. since many foreign sanctions were imposed on the country. bitcoin or any other crypto coin could be the answer to their problem.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 03, 2022, 10:13:10 AM

-Do you think Russia can survive, and how can they survive the harsh economic realities that they are about to experience? Are the sanctions sufficient to push Putin into a decision to stop the invasion?

for the short term they can still survive, maybe 2-3 years the Russian economy can still survive the sanctions imposed. But if their alliance like China also drops sanctions, Russia won't be fine. so it all depends on their alliance country. Besides, I'm sure they'd predicted all of that from the start. so before they invade, they probably already have a solution for this.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BTC deserves the biggest space in our crypto portfolio on: March 02, 2022, 08:06:18 AM
It looks like selling your crypto for money when they are profitable is more safer than holding them for long, my point is only very few coins are worth holding for many years, if you still doubt about this go on coinmarketcap and look at most coins that came into this world in 2018 many of them have no volume again, the shocking one to me is gowithmi, a project that my elder brother praised so much at the time but today it's volume is not up to 50k, many projects will face same fate, be smart

everyone is smart enough to know this. that's why altcoins released today are hard to develop. Today's investors/traders rely more on big coins like ethereum, bnb, or bitcoin to fill their portfolios. and if you asked everyone today what coins they're holding, probably almost all of them would be bitcoin and ethereum or some other big altcoin.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are there so many coins and the reason why some developers failed on: March 01, 2022, 09:29:38 AM

1. Lack of funding both the starting aspect and the launching aspect (lack of money to continue)
2. Failure in out righting frauds
3. Failure to evolve especially when the coin initially start bomming

less precise, because it is impossible that they do not have a development plan. when a new project is first launched, I'm sure they have thought of everything from funding and so on. the biggest reason why they fail is because from the start they only think about money.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market sentiments ? on: January 21, 2022, 08:20:16 AM
Things started looking good, giving a bit relief!!
But wait!!! Again sudden dip of  $5000 in a few hours?? How can we explain it: Are bad actors manipulating it or it just the market sentiments towards downward making such huge pricefall?

I think this is market sentiment because the market has been in an overbought situation for a very long time. manipulation? I don't think so, it's just purely from the market's reaction to what happened a few weeks ago. for a long time the crypto market has not found a new passion to continue the rally, this is the underlying why the market is slowly down.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a monopoly? on: January 19, 2022, 03:12:31 AM

How would competitors "beat" Ethereum if they use the same EVM for smart contracts? It's like saying Microsoft's Edge browser will beat Chrome when it's based on Chrome's underlying engine (Chromium). If this keeps up, I'd imagine ETH keeping its position as the dominant force of Web 3.0 for a long time.

nothing wrong with this. although they have the same code (EVM) but they have their respective advantages. this is what distinguishes it from ethereum. after all so far it hasn't looked as monopoly as you might think. The competition is still very fierce, and this will last for quite a while.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think that 2022 will look like? on: January 18, 2022, 09:58:40 AM
I think this year has no trend, you can say there will be very long sideways this year. and this possibility is better than the predictions of some people who think the market will crash this year. the price of bitcoin and other major crypto coins will be stable, and if there is a decline it will not reach a support point. so that means no severe crashes like in previous years. I'm sure about this because the growth of crypto is very different compared to the past. despite the current hype such as NFT, metaverse, defi and others, the rate of crypto adoption is arguably at its highest level today. this is what makes the market survive.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How will Coinmarketcap look in 2025? on: January 17, 2022, 03:22:26 AM
I agree with the avalanche, but not for bitcoin. bitcoin really can't be used for defi, can't be used for smart contracts, can't do ILO. but that's not the case, because bitcoin was not created for that purpose in the first place. Bitcoin was created to be used as a decentralized currency. This is what you must understand. and bitcoin will still be number 1, this is an undeniable fact.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Backer really important for a new project? on: January 16, 2022, 08:26:20 AM

- What if the project has no backer, but I have the capital. Will users rate it as a bad project?

no, users will not rate your project like that. The most important thing in building a new project is capital. development funding is very important, without it all is meaningless. Once your platform is released and has users, Backer will slowly come and become a fully supportive community of your project. so backer doesn't really matter to me in new project development as long as you have personal capital and don't depend too much on investors, your project will be fine.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accept crypto payments on: January 15, 2022, 02:27:06 AM
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced dogecoin adoption as payment for its products, this news came after Elon musk earlier tweeted about the done coin being a better payment option compared to Bitcoin. As we can recall that Tesla use to accept Bitcoin payments in the past before putting on hold its crypto payment gateway.
This announcement gave dogecoin a push-up in price as the coin gained 25% after the announcement.

He did the same thing with Bitcoin and it also got pumped and then he announced that Tesla won't be accepting Bitcoin and it got dumped. The same can happen to Dogecoin. We as a community should start ignoring this guy as he has been very unstable of what he wants to promote from last year to date. I do not know for how long Tesla will accept Dogecoin.

I agree with you, what he conveys is never consistent. before doge, he already did it on bitcoin last year. they said accept bitcoin, in the end stopped and didn't accept it. I'm sure this will also apply to the doge someday. so don't easily believe what he says, stop listening to every thing he says, it will get better.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: an opportunity or preliminary start of bear market?? on: January 14, 2022, 01:28:47 PM
I thought market will bounce back after weekend end and so many days have gone and no improvement. Yesterday i saw market recovering but now again failed. Still have ether, bnb and others altcoins that i haven’t sold. I don’t understand this is an opportunity or the preliminary start of bear market
The bounce needs the time and there will always be a resistance that must be passed by bitcoin and crypto. The marketc an't grow instant like pump and dump tokens.
You have so many good altcoins that can sustain when the big bearish trend was coming. The bearish market will always become an opportunity for anyone in the market to be able to buy at the dip. If there will be no bearish trend and anyone will not make good profit from the market. That's how crypto work and you must understand about that. The bullish trend may come again later.

yes you are right, so bear market is also profitable for some people. and the fact is that we need a bear market so that the market can develop better. That's why I'm never afraid of a bear market, I'm more looking forward to it. As long as we are prepared for this, a bear market will only look like a second chance to enjoy the party.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to enter the market and buy altcoins? on: January 12, 2022, 12:41:22 PM
One thing you should know.

Buying on the red will give you more profit with less loss trading rather than buying on the green If you search on the reddit or internet. You should enter the market while the sentiment market is negative.

Like:
- Everybody told you "BTC" is death
- Fear Index on Extreme Fear

That's why you should have free cash (ready money), In case the market is down, buy on the down trend and then sell on the green don't do the opposite.

Yes you're right. I've also read one quote that is "keep buying when everyone else is selling." This is a fact in the trading world, if you want to make a profit then buying when the price is falling is the right time. and now is a good time to do that. bitcoin distance is quite far from the latest ATH. the market is also in a sideways period these past few weeks. and most importantly even though things are not so good, the hype for crypto remains at a high level.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter McCormack: 'Bitcoin has WON the war on money'. Do you agree? on: January 11, 2022, 06:48:57 AM
what he said was too much. defeating gold or fiat, I don't think for this era would be possible. if the world's governments wanted to, today bitcoin could just lose its influence. remember regulation plays an important role in bitcoin existence. and this has limited the potential of bitcoin so far. so if it's called won, it's not quite right. just because some countries have accepted and allowed bitcoin, bitcoin can not be called the best. is still far away and very difficult to realize. Let's take the example of a country that has legalized bitcoin. see elsalvador whether since bitcoin is legal there, bitcoin is the main choice?. I don't think so, because the people there still prioritize fiat.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When people said hype and utility is most important on: January 10, 2022, 01:10:19 PM
The slowest crypto that walk from grass to grace is BTC, it's the first decentralized crypto asset that works with zero hype since the Dev decided to went hidden and remain unknown to the world, BTC works with no hype at all, slowly this asset confused the world that it matters but projects of today talk and talk about thousands of promises only to end up queueing under BTC LMAO
You're wrong without the hype, bitcoin wouldn't be what it is today. hype has been an important part of the growth of bitcoin and other crypto coins. that means utility and hype are two parts that cannot be underestimated. these two things are very important and you have to admit it. if in the past there was no hype for bitcoin, there would be no adoption as it is today. the crypto industry may never exist. people will not be attracted to something that is less popular especially if it is new.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Assuming on: January 09, 2022, 06:28:34 AM
Let's have this fun conversation today 😁 assuming BTC is just entering the space today and was never released in 2009 will BTC succeed like what it has come to be today? Assuming ETH was the first coin and we have every other coins like doge and xrp then BTC now come out in 2022 what do you think will happen?

if bitcoin was not the first crypto coin and was just released today, what would happen to btc. the answer is simple, btc will just be a neglected altcoins. actually POW and bitcoin blockchain are old technologies that haven't gotten any major updates since they were first launched. this will make bitcoin less viable because many new blockchains released today have many advantages over bitcoin. call it privacy coins like monero, or cheaper blockchains like doge and many more. if new bitcoins were released today, btc would have a hard time entering the market and probably no one would know what bitcoin is.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin to Proof-of-Stake (PoS)? on: January 08, 2022, 05:52:02 AM
They'll rely on Vitalik Buterin as an advisor to help make this a reality.
WTF is this? They should let vitalik to fix the problem on his ethereum blockchain rather than help them as advisor to make doge coin to be POS coin. Is this a joke? Ethereum scaling solution is still far to be successful. Bunch of complaints appear everyday.

This is very funny. how can he help when he himself is having so many problems. help dogecoin to migrate to POS? come on until now ethereum 2.0 is still in the testing phase and has not actually been released. if this does come true, the ethereum community will be very disappointed to see it. he doesn't seem to take the scaling problem and the high fees on the ethereum network seriously.
