I used to have one gpu disappearing because of too much OC. It could be a power issue as well. Also, the algo is cpu intensive so if your cpu doesn't have enough cores, it may not be able to hadle all gpus mining at the same time. You could also try two optiminer instances running at the same time, with different gpus selected, of course.

Hello ZERO community, new here as well.
I have been mining ZERO for the last couple of months with 2 rigs, 12 RX480's total and i have seen significant drop in the zero's i make per day. Can anybody please inform me how many ZERO's i should expect per day for each RX480?
Thank you very very much for any help.
PS: I mine in suprnova.cc pool.
Buddy, difficulty has risen from 3K to 470K, so what did you expect? Anyway, no more than 9 coins for all of your cards per day, and that number is gonna get even lower.

ok so I installed the wallet and I get all that, I made a user name and password in the zero config file in the wallet folder, the read me says it will work even if I left it alone, my question is what does this file do? and why doesnt my password matter?
so I can leave it as is, and just click the miner now and it will deposit coins into my wallet?
I am not supposed to assist drug lords, I hope your nick is only a joke. Yes, the miner will deposit coins to your wallet address, which will arrive AFTER 24h. I am not sure about the password, as the wallet does not support encryption. Ask more experienced users such as awill333 about this issue.

Windows wallet or linux wallet, found on page 1. Otherwise, store them in Cryptopia.

Interesting coin and its mining is very profitable now. But a lot of nuances: you need video cards with RAM 6MB, one exchange for sale, confirmation on SuperNova pool have very long time, setting up a miner-dance with a tambourine Smiley. I hope the coin is worth such trouble.
What you perceive as "nuances" is what makes mining this coin profitable. Keeping the masses way, to name it. If you do proper research and reading and you have the right hardware, you would be another one of the excited and happy miners in this community.

How many lambos much hashrate do I get with my 500 gpu Titan X rig?

Replying to multiple questions:
Github will be updated on Sunday
There is a special Windows Optiminer version for 4GB AMD cards.
Mining instructions are found at each pool's website; You may also ask for help in the telegram group.
I don't know about OC 'ing cards in Ubuntu, but if you wanna use Linux, ethos is a very good alternative since it is made for mining and you can easily tamper voltage and clocks there.
If you get miner crashes using nvidia cards on Windows, then you ned to apply the mod found on page 4 of this thread.

Price rising morew than X10 on the peak and many people fix they profit. Its a free market, sell if you want to sell or buy if you want to buy. And hodl if you want to hodl I prefer to read between the lines rather than adopting "free market" cliché statements. It would be a free market if there would be more exchanges trading zero. Trading in only one rather average to small volume exchange, allows price manipulations by big whales. I am not blaming anyone wishing to cash their profits, I am only being skeptical given the time chosen for someone to sell that kind of volume, granted we are waiting for an important update tomorrow, which could bring the price even higher. Also, given that the price is fluctuating between 28 and 34K satoshis in the last few days, that someone who placed that 20k zero order could have sold at even higher prices without making this kind of wall.
|
|
|
This is misinformation. There is currently an order to sell 20k zero @33000 sats, but this doesn't mean that someone is dumping. This could be for example a resistance wall to keep the price down while that someone is buying at lower prices set by bots or low volume traders. I can't believe that someone would be dumping a day before the so expected update, so allow me to be skeptical. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT COULD BE SOMEONE TRYING TO SCARE PEOPLE TO SELL, IN ORDER TO BUY CHEAP, JUST LIKE YOUR POST LOOKS LIKE IS TRYING TO DO.

Speaking of shovels and miners, just a comment to break the tension here; I named my rig "Uncle Scrooge"

Coinmarketcap total supply is wrong?
just noticed it too. a mistake or something like token burn which I missed? This has been asked multiple times in the past. Yes, coinmarketcap is wrong because the current zeroexplorer took over after the project had been practically abandoned by the previous managing team. There are about 2 million coins (potentially) and the current team is planning to address this ambiguity regarding the coin supply.

Some quite interesting facts/numbers from Cryptopia:
1) Zero's volume is about the same as Zcash's. 2) Someone just dumped 8000 zeros, zero plunged to 20,000 satoshi temporarily but then rose to previous levels.

Hi and glad you are showing inititiative to help move zero forward. Thank you. I have but one suggestion and that is to NOT call the coin "zero coins" because it will only lead to confusion and brand dilution. This is NOT zcoin so why would it be called that on reddit? That all needs correction.
The whole naming issue is quite a concern, at least for me, because of clarity and ambiguity issues. If you google "zero currency", the first two entries are not related to zero. There is a site called zerocurrency.org that has nothing to do with zero. Also, the word zero stands for a number and it causes confusion when used to denote a currency name.

Two quite technical but interesting videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEdx-pqJg4Ihttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6qOj9ap6RMSo as far as I understand, zcash and its improved version, zero, ensure transaction anonymity whereas bitcoin doesn't. This means zero has a huge potential. I wonder though what's going on with all those other altcoins that recently emerged and are actually enjoying a huge price and marketcap inflation. They claim to protect anonymity too. What is the truth? What is really going on? Or is it all some market game driven by people's ambition to become rich? How are governments going to react? All this money, where is it coming from? Is it a new bubble? I legitimately have no idea what's going on...
