I got it working on my end by using a subdomain so something like this:

Code:
A ns 111.222.333.444 1h
NS seeder ns.seederio.com 1h

dnsseed -h seeder.seederio.com -n ns.seederio.com -m no-reply@seederio.com

dig seeder.seederio.com

As a "regular" blocknet trader I can answer second part of your questions. I am running few unencrypted core wallets on some old notebook with linux. It has only wallets and blockDX installed. With good SSD the performance is acceptable. You need to have all wallets synced on same machine with blocknet (a lot of time, if you start from beginning) and configure blockDX with all that wallets. Especially if you add new, you need to restart every wallet, that is annoying. But! It is working. Devs promising, that you do not need to install core wallets if you use some services (service nodes??), but I do not know any or how to connect to them. Most important for me IT IS FUCKING WORKING! No more KYC, AML, exchange SCAM or trust to someone else. I just hope, blocknet does not have any backdoors or critical bugs  Grin

Thank you for the great deal of very useful information, it's especially comforting to know that the time and effort required to do the setup pays off and this was my main concern. I'm really happy to hear it's working, and can't wait to get my own setup going soon!

game over for chc?

Probably not but you never know when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Just pushing my post up to the next page, not sure if anyone in this thread is an actual user or not...

Are there any operators of service nodes around here? If so I'm curious what kind of setup you're running (big server, everything on one; smaller micro servers, each wallet on one server, or some hybrid etc.) I wasn't able to find any information about hardware requirements/recommendations as well as bandwidth use. I'm also curious how many different wallets you're running.

I'm also interested in hearing from any regular blocknet traders out there - what's the user experience like having multiple core qt wallets running on your machine? Do you find it cumbersome? How does blocknet interact with encrypted wallets?

I just read Page 29 of this topic again, good times.

Unfortunately CoinMarketCap no longer has market charts for Chaincoin, but BARR had raised the price to over 200 sats at the time.
So we burned and redeemed 4 or 5 BTC worth of Chaincoin.  Was that the all-time high for the coin?

I couldn't seem to track down a screenshot of the ATH but I did find a screenshot from blockfolio around that time (July 2017). You can see the price at ~200,000 sats.

It came from here: https://twitter.com/tymoss/status/886873285027409921

Would be cool if someone can share a screenshot from the ATH...you know for fun lol. What good times we had!

Since it's been several weeks since I last posted any updates I figured I would leave a quick note to say that I've been busy and have not had much time to dedicate to this project recently, but I hope to be able to get some more work done soon. There has been a little interest regarding the masternode giveaway which I think is really great - I still have to complete the redemption procedure but as I previously mentioned if anyone is interested in operating a masternode you can contact me to get the collateral for free in the meantime.

The future looks bright for everyone in the crypto community, thank you all for being a part of this.

Still messing around with this shitcoin? Chaincoin is DEAD SHITCOIN - deal with it!

It may be a shitcoin but it's far from dead.

Who are your investors and how will you market this product?

There are no current "investors" as far as I know. This project is the result of a lot of hard work by a few community members who successfully executed a takeover of an abandoned blockchain. The previous developer(s) deleted the code, website, explorer, twitter, discord, and caused the project to be delisted from crypto-bridge. Most of the previous community members have long abandoned their nodes and masternodes as well. There's only a handful of masternodes remaining on the network from the previous project, if these belong to any of the original project "investors" I do not know.

There is currently no marketing plan in place - several people have offered to assist with this, so we will have to wait and see where that goes. The project does not have a firm roadmap or set goals at the moment, other than to survive.

I'm currently working on figuring out the procedure for the masternode giveaway - once that is done I'll be free to revisit this.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: August 09, 2019, 02:47:46 PM
As there is not enough support from the community there will be no development/swap/new-coin in the foreseeable future.
Creating a new coin and coordinating everything is not an easy task and requires a broader support which in this case simply doesn't exist.
It makes no sense to me to do all the work without any support.

To the few people here: many thanks!

I'm actually just stumbling across this project and thread (today of all days!)... wow. I'm surprised that there wasn't any support for this... really cool look to the project. I love what you did with the webpage and source code - I'm having a look myself since I was curious if the chain is still moving or not (seems like it is!).

Just for fun I think I'll setup a node and poke around the network - I'm curious if there are still any masternodes up and running...

Well done to the team, most of the time when I see project with no ICO and active development, I always respect their effort. I want to ask if there is still chance to get free tokens to run host masternodes, there is no need to doubt the future of this project, it is very bright

Yes there are still masternodes available. I'm working on the giveaway details but if you want to get in early you will need to setup and sync your wallet and server.

Using a std. BTC 'Copy' with a qt,exe wallet and Windows machines only.
Thanks all for any help.

I can help you with this, you can PM me.

Are you guys really busy these days? I know there's still a ton of masternode coins being released daily, but are people still rushing to get in?

Why are there no links to the linkedin profiles shown on the image on the first post?

My question still stands.

Are any of these posts made by actual real people or just the paid for spam groups?

Seems the posts are half decent, they even can reply to each other in a somewhat cohesive manner. Maybe some machine learning or advanced linguistic algorithms at play here?

Let's see...

...After all, it is the current indicators of project activity that suggest that it is developing at the expense of the community.

If the project develops at the expense of the community, then this is already an excellent indicator of activity...

In our community there will always be a place for secrets, because people are becoming much more curious than before. This is especially true of big cities ...

I believe that the atmosphere in the city hardens man. And directly those who understand this become less susceptible to the insides. In old age you can sit secrets read))

Holy fake crap postings batman.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🦄 [ANN][WATCHDOG][WMP] - Watchdog Masternode Project 🦄 on: July 06, 2019, 12:22:18 PM
I have two additional issues that would be helpful if you could address:

1. In your whitepaper, it's shown that there are 50 nodes available for sale

but then a bit further along in the same whitepaper it's shown that
there are only 43000 coins available for these nodes

and then just in your post earlier in this thread you state that there's 36 nodes available for sale (at least the price is the same)
WATCHDOG Mastenode Presale has now just kicked off
Only 36 full masternodes to sell at 0.35 btc and 5 x 10% shares at 0.035 btc remain.

The question is why the discrepancy? If there are actually only 36 nodes available for sale in the presale (please don't say you sold them ahead of time because the same post quoted above states that the sale just started with no mention of any nodes already sold) then what are the additional 7000 (43000 - 36000 = 7000) coins for?

2. In your whitepaper it's stated that there are "no premine coins to sell"

but if you look at the premine details it's stated there are 50000 coins reserved just for that purpose:

Why the discrepancy? Are the premined coins for sale or not?

It's obvious a lot of time and effort has been put into this project so far, so I hope it turns out to be successful. Time will tell I suppose.

With our extensive utility road map, multiple coin use cases and our market experience we strive to be the industry standard.

Which uses cases are these? Who's going to use and is currently using your coin?
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WATCHDOG][WMP] - Watchdog Masternode Project on: July 03, 2019, 09:13:03 PM
The Watchdog will be hosted on the VAULT Investments platform that has 2FA verification for manual withdrawals and change of your withdrawal address.

The backend uses "advanced security" features, which we can't disclose.

I think you forgot to log out and switch accounts. Thanks for answering my question though.

I would like to direct you to VAULT Investments, as this is the public team and company responsible for the creation of the CRYO program and the Watchdog Masternode Project. Just to clarify the Watchdog company and platform will be managed by the WATCHDOG team.

So this thread regarding the masternode project is not the right place to ask questions about the masternode project? I'm confused. If I posted this in the wrong place I apologize and I'll correct that.

Please time some time to check exactly who we are (VAULT Investments) and where we are going with this.

As I said, you're the same people (WMP, VAULT, ...PAWS)... Ian Cubitt, Jules Dubois, Jelle Borsje, et al. Feel free to correct me.

No, it is not the same people running both "companies". VAULT Investment (us) are creating, supporting and maintaining the WATCHDOG Masternode Project (WMP).

The same people are vetting their own project. You don't think it's a conflict of interest to attest that your own project has the "required pedigree" to have the "support and protection of the VAULT investments team"?

The team and project were verified by themselves.

I'll just finish this up by quoting myself again here:
It's the same thing as vouching for myself to the bank for a loan or acting as my own co-signer.

Nice math. How did you get that marketcap of coin is 13 million?  Undecided
Total supply is 50k now. $3 * 50 = $150k...

Your max total supply is 4 million coins. I was wrong about coinmarketcap - they use circulating supply and not total supply in their calculations - my mistake. So after  sale your coin will indeed show a market cap valuation of ~$150,000 USD.

Coin have low supply and low inflation rate. Not like most of the coins..

Every project makes this claim.

LINK Circulating supply -350,000,000 LINK and its price $3.7 per coins means its supper high price.

Uuuuh... yeah... thanks for stating the obvious.

If you don't understand how supply connected to coin price then I will try to help you. If coin supply 10 coins its price can be 1 btc per coin easily and marketcap will be 10 btc but if its supply 100m it will never be at price of 1 btc cause marketcap will worth more then total supply of btc (technically its possible but I don't think we will see any coin that will overcome btc).

We were discussing the price in dollars. Considering that tether is printed on a whim just like fiat, there really is no upper limit to the price in dollars. I do see what you're saying though, and it's not at all the point I'm making. Whether there's 350M or 5000 coins the price for joe user is still $3 per coin. If they buy $10,000 of your coins or other coins they still have the same amount of coins. In several weeks (months, years?) from now, would you rather be holding ~3,000 LINK or holding ~3,000 BARE. I guess that's up to each individual person to decide for themselves.

And we are not making a new pornohub... Why you can't just read everything clear before you are saying that?
This platform is totally different thing, we don't plan to fight with other regular services with tons of free/paid vids. Its service where creators can add their content and communicate with crowd and make unique content that crowd wanted. Visitors can pay for what they really want, find creators they like and not just a random porn.

It's still just a website so why the whole blockchain and crypto involvement?

Next time at least ask team about it..

I am asking: that's what this forum is for no? We can discuss everything openly here so others can benefit from the discovery.

We run presale to get enough funds for developing and advertising platform, listing on one more exchange.

There's no question about that, it's very clear.

All this means you are spreading Uncertainty cause you didn't made a research well. Thats a part of FUD as you said.

I'm certain there's no public team, no industry expertise, and no relevant endorsements. Many adult industry projects have risen and then faded into obscurity over the past few years due to inadequate market research and lack of industry knowledge. Feel free to chime in with your extensive knowledge of the adult industry any time.

Anyone reading this can tell I did enough research to decide that this was not a project worth investing in. People are free to do as they please.

Right but it's the same people running both "companies" so the accountability, decision making, and direction all comes from the same place.

It's the same thing as vouching for myself to the bank for a loan or acting as my own co-signer. I'll remember that next time I go for a job interview I'll list myself as my primary reference.

Yes, it is really important to weigh every step to fully understand, the whole essence of the situation. I think, that each time we will improve. because the team gives us the opportunity to do this

What doesn't make sense is the quantum waveform surrounding the event horizon. Don't you think mashed potatoes are best with gravy? I wish there were more apples in the ocean. I'm looking forward to the next empire.
