I don't suppose anybody wants to share the SP Lux Miner? I can't justify paying that silly price for 1 small rig.
GPL support this comment What is the SP Lux miner??? A private miner made by SP and distributed to people for a 'donation' of 0.05 btc. Thx Moon Im assuming this miner is much better than readily available such as ccminer (and its mods) What mines LUX? lots of miners ....go to YIIMP pool for example, select the PHI algo then click on miners at the top on the page, and a list of all miners used on pool for LUX coin will appear on you screen

Hi all.
New to mining here and I just went all in for a 10x 1080ti zotac (3 fan) card rig! Kind of crazy with the current market for graphics cards and value of coins, I know but I got them at a decent price. Couple of quick questions for all you experts. I'm planning on increasing the card count to 13 + at some point in the near future. What and how many psu should I get?
I was looking at the EVGA super nova 1600, but I am open to any suggestions for what is safest and most cost effective.
I'm also using: I7-7700 Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal SSD, 2x 8gb ddr4 ballistix elite, risers Asus b250 mining expert.
Once I get everything set up I see through the 200+ pages here that there are plenty of algo and places to maximize profit and such so I won't go on about that portion for now.
Any help, suggestions or words of wisdom/ advice are welcomed! Please be kind haha.
Thanks.
PS, currently going through the entire forum now ...so if I find the answers before someone comments I'll delete this. Thanks agian.
actually for a rig you do not need this expensive CPU and memory, you may put just a celeron and 8GB cheapest DDR4 memory. as well as 128GB SSD or even an old and working HDD for 320GB-500GB, this will lower the cost of the rig as for PSU I'm using HP 2450W server PSU for a rig with 8 x gtx 1080ti I use same PSU (platinum edition) - very happy with.......bought two of them second hand in great shape for just under 100$ each

I think its highly unlikely that it will happen this year. Too much to develop, maybe one day.
It may never happen. Developing software is cheaper and faster than hardware. GPUs are a very powerful processing platform, especially for anything requiring computations on fast memory. I don't see ASICs paired with big fast memory being economical to develop, but even if they were, it would take time. By the time ASICs start eating the processing power from GPUs an opportunity opens, cheap existing computing power. At that point new coin algorithms will be created for those GPUs, and the cycle repeats. This happened before, it's happening now, can keep happening. exactly...

Real Profit mining on LUXcoin are very low compared with calculator or just is me??
same with me. calculator says 1.1 per day but i get only .6 I have one 1080ti. Calculator says 0,355 LuxCoin, and I get in last 24 hours 0,33187 LuxCoin What pool are you on? I have had similar results as other people. Yiimp.eu Yiimp gets overloaded frequently try altminer.net it is more stable and fee is 0.9 compare to 2% at Yiimp.........

v2.3.2.0 wont work on my win 10 pro 64bit
I am gettin MinGW Runtime Assertion error: Assertion failed! Program: C:\users\...........\solaris-qt.exe Fail: main:cpp, Line 3743
Expression: !setBlockindexCandidates.empty()
HELP!
Try this "through the window" method. That is what i used and it worked for me. It can be likened to re-syncing and re-indexing. Close your Solaris-qt Open your AppData/Roaming/Solaris then delete all EXCEPT for - wallet.dat
- masternode.conf
- solaris.conf
Then restart your wallet (launch only the version 2.3.2.0) NB: I would recommend that you DO NOT use winodows XP for crypto wallets or other online activity that requires security for the same reason Dabs gave Yeah it worked out bro but also my balance has disappeared....i didnt touch wallet.dat Now it synchronizing from the beginning...hopefully my coins will appear when it is done...

Asus fans are crap, choose evga or msi only.
you cant be serious. I would pay more for any Asus/EVGA or Gigabyte just to not have MSI cards... Msi gaming has ball bearing fans and runs cool. The armor is not ball bearing and runs a bit hotter. Msi is great if you get the ball bearing totally agree

I picked up a set of 7x 1070Ti cards today (yeah i know not 1080ti), looking for a good route on mobo/cpu/ram(4G?)/psu(2x750w?) for them, assuming i use the SimpleMining OS from usb stick. my local shops dont carry low-end CPUs so im pretty much forced to order my celeron (or a ryzen?) off amazon
I use Ryzen's on my both rigs, and I am pretty happy with..... On XZC 2Ryzens=1/2 1080ti ))

Why does WTM always over estimate the revenue stream?
I plug in 34 mh/s which is what ccminer-alexis shows for output and the rest of the values and it tells me over 130 per day. Reality is more like 80-90. Using zpool.
What am I missing here?
I do not recommend using WTM for 1080ti estimates as one of most profitable algos for 1080ti such as Lyra2z, Xevan, Tribus, NIST5, X17, Bitcore, Timetravel10, Skunkhash (and maybe others I have not discovered yet) are simply missing from their database.....

It is still profitable. Depends on your definition of efficiency I suppose. There are other things to mine that may be better options right now.
You can still do much worse than XZC.
what is the best option? XLR? yeah XLR is cool for now but diff jumped up lately...i used to make 15$ per card now 11$......................... Can I ask you what pool and miner are you using? pool: https://umine.orgminer for gpu: ccminer_x64 bat line is as follow /ccminer.exe -a xevan -o stratum+tcp://s.umine.org:3739 -u SXW9gq5mkzocAKdxy4CNZpo4mUpVw59fjQ -p c=XLRX/ miner for cpu: cpuminer-multi-rel1.3.1-x64 /cpuminer-gw64-avx2 -a xevan -o stratum+tcp://s.umine.org:3739 -u SXW9gq5mkzocAKdxy4CNZpo4mUpVw59fjQ -p c=XLRX/ but not as profitable as few days ago......as i said 10-11usd/day/card are you using an exchange that supports solaris you’d like to reccomend? I use both exchanges recommended by solaris official site - https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org and https://www.coinexchange.io
