Congratulations Claymore, you gave 280x's new life in those times of skyrocketing prices of new VGA's Smiley

thinking to get one more card so any suggestions ? PNY 1060 6GB OC GAMING Edition or Gigabyte Windforce OC or MSI GTX 1060 6GB OC V2 ?

in order to get more sols you should oveclock your memory as well, not only core, good and pro[erlu overclocked gtx1060 can pus around 330-340 sol/s, which is about 10% more then you have
As you commented, I changed and tried in different ways & I got 325sol/s with Hynix memory  Tongue core +180, mem: -150, power: 90%, on windows 7 with EWBF, but it crashes after 10-20mins (only programme is crashing not GPU). Huh
Core +140 Mem +540 PL 90%, Hynix 3GB, using DSTM 0.58 and getting rock solid average 314 sol/s

hi,

i have 6x 1060 gtx 6gt rig on MSİ Z270A-PRO

i get 25 mhs from 4 cards, other 2 cards gives 20 mhs. clock settings are same. OS is win 10, i am using claymores miner. Any suggestions?

hello again, i checked cable connections, checked psu, all are correct. I changed os to ethos sat up again, hashrates are same. still 2 cards gives 20mhs, 4 cards gives 25 mhs.

I realized something, near 4 cards written name that GTX 1060 6GT,

other 2 cards written name GTX 1060 6GT Rev. 2.

what is differences between them, how can i fix it?

Try to read this thread, this is well explained Smiley It is 99,99% because memory chips on card. Best hashrate gives samsung memory (up to 25MH/S), then micron (up to 23MH/S) and the worst is hynix (up to 19-20 MH/S). You can check memory brand using GPU-Z.

Hey guys,
Im new at mining
Currently bought 3 GPU Asus GTX 1060 6GB
and mine on Nicehash
Is there any tips what profitable algo to mine?
and what is good setting with Msi Afterburner for the GPU?
Thanks Smiley

whattomine.com and just previous page or two you can find some general recommendations for 1060/3GB ...

I just done reading and decided the setting of my 3 gtx 1060 6gb use Msi Afterburner

1x gtx 1060 6gb (micron) power limit 70, coreclock -400, memclock +602, Algo DaggerHashimoto(EthDcrMiner64), 23MH/s with temp 60 C

2x gtx 1060 6gb (hynix) power limit 80, coreclock +122, memclock +220, Algo Equihash(ewbf), 290 - 299 sol/s each, with temp 60 C

total earnings 46k satoshis/day
is this setting okay? Smiley
Thanks

Considering first card have micron mem, it's ok. For equihash you can oc a little more core & mem, but not needed. Use dstm miner for equihash algo coins, it gives few % more sol/s than ewbf. BTW, nicehash is hassle free (no worry about pools, wallets, exchanges, etc) but there you are mining for someone else and mining profits can be lower upto 30% than if you mined your currently profitable coins directly.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: February 21, 2018, 10:34:49 AM
Guys, i just installed ubuntu 17.10 and latest amd drivers amdgpu-pro-17.50-511655 (installed with "./amdgpu-install --headless --opencl=legacy
"). Using claymore 12.4, and received zero hashrate with my r9 290x (
At the same time eth is mining well showing me 30,5 mh with Claymore.s.Dual.Ethereum.Decred_Siacoin_Lbry_Pascal.AMD.NVIDIA.GPU.Miner.v10.0.-.LINUX..
Can someone point me what happens? Log file show no error, just "WATCHDOG: GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit"

Well thats error, your GPU card 0 just hangs trying to mine and exits. BIOS undervolted/underclocked cards for eth mining?
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: February 21, 2018, 10:32:08 AM
When can we expect Nvidia & AMD (Dual Support like Claymore ETH Miner)?

Equihash algo uses intensively both GPU and GPU memory and that is reason why you can't expect dual mining. Besides that, Claymore said he will not be making nvidia equihash miner.

HI there,

I am having hard times to try to mine equihash coin!

I have several rigs in total I have 27 cards a couple of rx 480 and the rest rx 570, 12 of them nitro plus and 12 mini pulse.
I'm using calymore on windows 10 and updated video drivers for the cards.
In general the mining of equihash compared with etash for me is very very unstable, from my end, I'm quite convinced I'm doing something wrong, the only way I have to mine with a bit of stability is to reduce the intensity to 0 and underclock but like this my hash rate is simply to low.

Please help me to understand how to mine equihash coin with my AMD rigs

Thank you

this is my conf file

Code:
-zpool ssl://zcl.suprnova.cc:4142
-zwall mywallet.myrig
-zpsw x
-tt 75
- i (i got even 0 with no results with AMD RX 570 MINI 4GB)
[b]-powlim -20[/b]
-allpools 1

Have you tested stability without lowering power limit (without powlim parameter)?

I'm mining with 6x Gigabyte Windforce OC 3GB (Samsung)

Runing them on:
TDP 67%
Temp 69c
Core -100
Memory +950

They seem stable so far keeping just above 25 Mh/s eth on claymore dual miner. I thiink it's not quite the sweetspot, but I like the consistent 150 Mh/s combined with total draw from the wall 560 watts. They also run quite cool - under 50c with 60-65% fan.

Same card but with slower Hynix memory is rock solid with nice hashrates in all algos at +140GPU/+540MEM/80%PL ... For a few algos you can even drop mem -300.

Sorry @User910 but mining is being done with discrete mid/high end cards, not integrated ones.

One of my Windforce OC 3GB (Hynix) also gets 815 h/s in hsrminer, other one also Hynix max ~785 h/s. As faster one is with little lower voltage and cooler temps I suppose it's just upto "sillicon lottery" with vga GPU. Having same situation with two identical older 280x's ...

same with me when mining crc coin. its take 2 day long to transfer to my wallet at cryptopia. when i receive this morning, the price si going down 20% Sad

the tradesatoshi wallet address still Maintenance, no more exchange that we can deposit the coin except tradesatoshi
The tradesatoshi wallet is working good now, i just created the adress and received the transaction from local

Watching now and status - maintenance.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.1.0) on: January 31, 2018, 03:45:00 AM

Having same problem. Win 7 x64, 390.x drivers, latest win updates, other miners working without problems. Funny how even author don't know exact library dependencies Smiley

Same issue on Windows 10.  No output, no log.

On second computer I'm using Win 10 Fall Creators with latest updates and it works but on Win 7 x64 SP1 also having no output, no log. But today was having strange behavior on that Win 10 machine, it was working at about only 1/3 of hashrate while DSTM works full hashrate without problems. Restarts or reseting on default clocks didn't help ... Huh Unfortunatelly, I didn't saved logs for dev to analayze :/
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.1.0) on: January 28, 2018, 01:09:35 AM
Just tried again for fun -- still doesn't start for me on Windows 10. Not from batch file, nor on its own with any command arguments.

And that's with two different Windows 10 machines, one AMD Ryzen 7 1700, one intel i7 3770. Both with a GTX 1070.

Any way to debug this? I don't have anything strange running at the same time, as far as I can tell.

Just to confirm -- did you turn off windows defender? Windows Defender sometimes would deny the execution.

What happens if you directly click on bminer.exe?

Yes, I had tried disabling Windows Defender, despite it showing no indication that it cared about bminer.exe. Disabling Windows Defender had no effect.

If I double-click bminer.exe a cmd-style window appears for a couple seconds, then closes. It has no contents. There are no error messages or other outputs.

EDIT: same result with new 5.2.0 version.

Try installing Visual Basic libraries, .NET Framework libraries, and latest CUDA SDK. 99% it will fix this for you

I do some very basic, minimal compiling on these machines, such as compiling xmrig & xmr-stak. So I have the CUDA SDK, and some .NET/VB libraries. Can you suggest specifics on which ones I might be missing?

What are the outputs if you are running the executable directly?

No output. When I run bminer.exe in cmd window, it just pauses, then goes back to the prompt. When I double-click it, an empty console window briefly appears, then disappears.

Hello, the same here. When I run bminer.exe without parameters it pauses for a maybe half a second then quits to the console. No output. I've got Visual Studio 2017 installed, so the libraries you mentioned are in place. What could be missing? Windows 10 x64. I've got number of miners, no problems. Card configuration: MSI 1080 GamingX, MSI 1060 Armor 6G.

Just try adding a pause command after the arguments in your .bat file.

bminer -ArgumnentsHere -AndHere
pause

Edit:
run this for help with a list of available commands, pretty self explanatory lol

bminer -help
pause

Going to run some multi hour benchmarks on my 1070ti and my 980 individually on the competitive miners and hopefully put my mind at ease with these huge fluctuations and massive dips pool side.

you know, the problem isn't I don't know how to parameterize the miner, the problem is, that its output is none. And I've got the console open, so I don't need pause command Smiley I even tried the latest version 5.2.0 and the -logfile=.\bminer.log parameter. The file is not created.

Just tried on Win 10 Falls Creator with latest updates and same (win 10) driver version and it works ok, with 12-15 sols more than with dstm's miner (Windforce 1060 3GB).

how accurate is gputemp's temperature reading? ive been using it for a couple days now and both gpus are about 55 degrees celcius every time i check. i live in quite a hot country (most days are over 30 degrees) so was worried about them overheating but from what ive been reading, others usually have their gpus running at around 70 degrees.

is msiburner a better alternative to manage temp and adjust gpu settings?

since this is my first rig i dont want to push the gpus to their limit so im tempted to leave them running as is (im currently mining a ITNS (cryptonoight), averaging around 900h/s over 24 hours)

I use Afterburner with custom fan curve, targeting between 65-70 degrees (windforce oc 3GB). But you can always take off gpu fans and using zip-ties put your own silent 120mm or 80mm fans powered by 12v, 7v or 5v from molex connector (as I do on some old 280x's).
