Just look at the recent moves in price on halvings of different coins. It is mostly a bit excitement before, but then nothing noteworthy afterwards. Even the difficulty will not change that much. About the difficulty it can change because technology is changing too much and very dynamically so the power will increase by years, until to quantum pc which much more power.
