I'm using xmr-stak as well. I did see the lagging at one point, and that was my video card overheating. Check the temps on your system. Once I fixed the temp issue things have been running great with no lag.

Hmm... Both cards are running quite cool - 52C & 53C - so that isn't it. However, since I have 3 computers I rotated algos/miners between them and put DERO back on the RX 570 where it is humming along nicely, and lo-n-behold, the Win7 machine was still laggy as hell running Claymore's Ethash miner, then that oldie-but-a-goodie, Ethminer 0.12.0. Earlier this machine had been running an Equihash miner for several days without incident or any lagging, so I am definitely puzzled. Probably a reboot is in order.

How much ram do you have on the windows 7 system? Win10 is less resource intensive, so it will run smoother on Win10. You can try adding more ram to the win7 or increase virtual memory to like 16GB inside windows 7 to see if it helps.

What miner are you all using? I've been using xmr-stak because it works on AMD or NVidia and I have both types of cards (not in the same rig). It seems to deliver very good hashrates and I noticed no issues with it on either of my two Windows 10 machines, one with a single RX 570 and the other with a single GTX 1050 Ti. I just got it set up on my old Windows 7 machine which has (2) GTX 1060 installed and the hashrate of 968/s is excellent (for Nvidia, anyway - Cryptonote isn't its strongest algo) but the GUI is damn near unusable due to extreme lag. The mouse pointer isn't lagging, it's when I click on something that the lag kicks in. It's not a big deal since I don't actually run anything on the Win7 machine except a miner and various wallets, but severe lag like this is usually accompanied by instability/crashes. CPU load reported by task manager is around 70% and GPU load for both cards reported by GPU-Z is 99-100%.

It has a huge supply of 1 billion so price could go down to 0.20$ to 0.30$, there are so many similar projects.
Many ? Like what ?

Rialto, Salt, Bancor, Exchange Union, Omega One, and there are few more if you search properly.
I also uploaded the picture, last night price crashed to 0.0001$ on the Qryptos Exchange
Someone sold 180,000 Qash for the price of 0.00000001BTC

Yes but this is the difference

Gosh! That sounds fantastic. You what about your targets in 2018 for QASH?
30$

Someone sold 180,000 Qash for the price of 0.00000001BTC.....really? when?

Hi Dev,

When the new blockchain is done, will there be an exchange of old DERO to new DERO?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: January 02, 2018, 04:19:55 AM
Ok, I'm out. Moving on to the next coin now that it's no longer just webminer. This was THE feature this coin had going for it, now it's just like the other 100's of coins out there.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: January 01, 2018, 02:15:42 PM
My hash is 95h/s and I'm only averaging around 1.1crep/hr. I was mining on day one a gathered around 800crep in 24 hours. Is the pool diluted that much? The estimator estimates at this hash 110crep (I presume per day).

Can anyone share their perspective on this?

Yeah that sounds about right, I got a similar h/s as you and get ~30 a day now. Lots of miners jumping in.

Hi Dev,

Make this minable please!
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: December 31, 2017, 06:08:35 AM
Hi Dev,

Could you let us know how many people are in the team and some background info for each?
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official ANN [QNM] Quantonium | PoS - PoW | on: December 31, 2017, 06:04:00 AM
Can you cpu mine this?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: December 30, 2017, 10:46:28 PM

It should work... you can roughly say you will get 1 CrepCoin per day per h/s.

Really? Mine is 24 H/s and I've got 5 CreepCoin/day.  I am using a laptop, don't know whether it is affected.

Creepcoin Grin Grin Grin Wink

it's okay people, just keep mining.

The developers have leveled the playing field for people entering into this coin so get as many devices as you can and enjoy Smiley

Alright, at the time of writing

Hashrate: 16.22 Kh/s
Miners: 168

That's an average hashrate of 96.54 H/s

On a new high-end computer, you can achieve that. But the vast majority sit on much slower machines. The expected average hashrate is A LOT lower.

The only reasonable explanation is that devs are mining themselves via their closed pool pool.crepcoin.org:3333 which is officially only accessible via the webmining proxy. I'm absolutely sure the devs are throwing cpuminer/GPU at it like crazy.

How else could 144k CREP already have been mined? See here: https://blocks.crepcoin.org/

Nice try, devs... You sure put a lot of effort into all of it. For nothing.

More unfair release ever.

You don't need good luck to try to explain this and turn the project around and achieve some sort of credibility. You need a miracle. Pray for CREP.
And no my friend, devs are not mining, and much less with GPU.

We only getting 2% from the pool fee. And sometimes mining with an intel i5 or Raspberry Pi 3 for testing.

If you are absolutely sure, well for you. Go to mine another coin.

I can accept that you say that coin is shit, I'm an idiot, or something like that. But this kind of accusations, as if you had the absolute truth in addition... go to another project topic for this things, please.

Regards

This response is perfect, personally I think CREP developers should mine some coins via GPU for advertising or bounty campaigns but that's just my opinion.

I can personally say I've been around 0.40-0.80k/hs myself just via using different devices and systems.

if one address has 3 computers mining, is that considered 1 miner(since it's 1 address) or 3?

1 mining address i believe

a mining address can have many workers.

e.g. 100 addresses mining if on average 3 devices are mining per address there's 300 devices mining at different hashes

ok, so for the guy that said:

Alright, at the time of writing

  Hashrate: 16.22 Kh/s
  Miners: 168

  That's an average hashrate of 96.54 H/s

The avg is kind of meaningless, since we don't know how many PCs each address is using.

Hi Dev,

Since your team will be re-writing the blockchain, there are lots of room for bugs/vulnerabilities to be introduced in the process. Do you plan on having the code reviewed/audited with outside sources to make sure there are no issues? If not this would be a good thing to do, maybe give bounties for it. Also, is the new code open source? We also need a reddit sub Smiley

Yes the entire code would be open-source and will be published on https://github.com/deroproject repository.
Yes there would be code review and audit and there will be bounty too.
Reddit is ofcourse required but we plan to create it when we atleast release our alpha code something of our own.

Great to hear! Keep up the good work! Mining 24/7 Smiley
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREPCOIN: Start mining now with low H/S devices! on: December 29, 2017, 01:52:36 PM
correct me if i'm wrong but as soon as deamon is available people start mining on GPU, and collect in one day more CREP than all small devices did in the 2 months before
it is incorrect. actually are generated 15,500 coins approx per day (240 seconds per block.. around 320 blocks per day with 48,5CREP rewards).

when gpu mining starts, the daily coins generated will be the same. If hashrate increases by gpu power, difficulty to mine a block will be increased too, but never increase the number of daily generated coins.

regards

Dev, consider making this web-mining only forever. This would be a great "feature" of this coin; also make it kind of unique at the same time, a good way to differentiate amongst all the other coins. This would keep old laptops and smartphones hashing away happily.

Is there any pre-mined for this? also, do you plan on giving bounties for tasks?

Is it worth mining with a raspi 3?
We have a raspi 3 for test. Is mining at 6 h/s approx. Around 4-6 coins daily...

Hi Dev,

My daemon is not able to sync all the way, it stays on 9222.....any solution?

SYNCHRONIZATION started
2017-12-26 02:27:11.492 [P2P8]  INFO    global  src/cryptonote_protocol/cryptonote_protocol_handler.inl:305     [76.74.170.109:18090 OUT] Sync data returned a new top block candidate: 9222 -> 10224 [Your node is 1002 blocks (0 days) behind]

Stop the daemon, Delete chain data and restart the daemon again.
Not require for above step but  make sure to take backup of your wallet and seed.

Always make a backup of your wallet anyway!

Where is the chain data on a win10 pc? should it be under %appdata%? if so, it's not there...no dero folder there.

Hi Dev,

I was looking over the roadmap, and this caught my attention:

* Complete rewrite of cryptonote network protool in Golang.

What is to be gain by doing this?
