81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which one gonna come true ??? on: November 13, 2021, 11:40:37 PM
Could all be hit, honestly.

I think that people don't realize how much more market cap BTC can absorb - it can legitimately absorb the majority gold and silver's market caps once it establishes its status as a global reserve store of value asset.

We could also see hyperinflation in the next decade though, which means that $500k/coin may not actually be that much in real terms.
82  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Bitcoin Blackjack ♦️ Bitjack - Please do not play for the moment on: November 13, 2021, 10:42:40 PM
Perhaps put this project on hold for the moment?

Doesn't look the best on your brand if you put out an unfinished product that can't even be used properly.

Also, I'd highly suggest that you start with a higher bankroll - 100 bit max bet is a joke, this is the base bet for a lot of players.
83  Economy / Gambling / Re: Friends.Casino - Industry leading vip program and social network! on: November 13, 2021, 11:01:34 AM
I agree with the other comments.

Either they will do some sort of draconian KYC procedure on all users, or the bonus that they are offering is fake.

There is no other feasible way they can go about their business like this. It's just too good to be true if there are no wagering requirements whatsoever on the first deposit bonus...
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 13, 2021, 12:27:04 AM
Thankfully, Terance Mann missed the last dunk that could've made me lose my +3.5. Lucky!

Lol, I was on the other side.

Terrance Mann is one of my favorite up and coming players but what he did was plain dirty... Screwed a bunch of Clipper bettors over, lol.

Anyway I do think that Clippers are looking very good. I think that they are an underrated pick to make the WCF because there is still a possibility that they will get Kawhi back (and they have went to the WCF last year without Kawhi).
85  Economy / Gambling / Re: If your games aren't provably fair, stop claiming they are. on: November 13, 2021, 12:04:59 AM
Provably Fair is a buzz word. It's thrown around like other buzz words such as fully decentralized, anonymous, private, etc. The sites are just telling you what you want to hear. They know that the majority won't know the difference, or have the time and patience to research it themselves. Therefore, I don't think such claims will stop. They will keep making their rounds and get even worse.

The best thing to do is expose those who are lying and giving players the tools to check such claims themselves.

I completely agree with this, and I don't know how this is essentially the first time that there has been an extensive list of casinos being called out for this stuff.

The fix is very simple. Spend less time and effort on frontend design for 1 week and develop a new provably fair system. Honestly not that hard.

For casinos unable to do this simple fix the only reason we have to assume is due to their illegitimacy. Reminds me of 999Dice.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NO KYC Sportbooks? on: November 12, 2021, 11:50:27 PM
Unfortunately, governments in many countries are pushing hard to regulate cryptocurrency casinos. One of the requirements is absolute KYC verification of all users. If the casino wants to operate legally in a given country, it will have to adapt or move to a country where such regulations do not yet exist.

We can expect that soon most cryptocurrency casinos will simply have to require KYC verification from all users.

I don't think so.

There will always be unregulated casinos that are operating that will attract more attention from players which makes them survive. Until they grow out of the phase where they can just get away with having no KYC.

If you play at sportsbooks like Stake though, they have demonstrated a history of KYC which is dangerous if you can't commit to it.

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Investment Advice? on: October 15, 2021, 10:27:47 AM
Dear community, I need your advice all. so long story short I have a colleague in a private company where I work. I tell my first journey in this forum, how to get started, how to earn here and some other questions related to this forum.

When talking about earning without spending capital (money), frankly I say that to get free money on this forum by promoting a project or joining an Airdrop. I also say there is no guarantee after promoting a project can generate (money) for you. as I know that there are many types of fraudulent projects although not all projects end like that.

And My Friend has around $30k in capital and is planning to invest in crypto. I recommend BTC for the first choice and tell some of my current investments such as AXS, BNB and MATIC (I bought 3 altcoins when the price was low). other than that, AXS has reached its new ATH, while the last ATH for BNB and MATIC is around May.
My question is it safe to invest BTC at the current price?
Do you have any other Altcoin options?

The answer very much depends on how much the person needs the $30k.

Is it just play money for him? Or is it actually something that he needs in the very near future?

If the latter I would recommend against investing in crypto altogether. Only if he can afford to lose all of it should he even consider putting some away into crypto. In terms of your question of if BTC is a guaranteed profit making undertaking, the answer is a clear no. Markets fluctuate every single day.

I would not invest in any NFT related projects, including AXS right now. $30k is not a small amount so perhaps larger cap projects like Solana and Cardano would make sense.
90  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legislation will prevent Bitcoin from being used as an everyday currency? on: October 15, 2021, 10:13:01 AM
I know that the legislation is very varied around the world, but as far as I know in most countries, it is regulated as a financial asset and not as a currency, therefore, every time you spend you create a taxable event.

Someone who buys $1k today and goes out a couple of hours later to buy a coffee for $3 when the price of bitcoin has gone up 3% owes taxes on the profit of the proportional part of that $3. If tomorrow he buys something else but the price has gone down below when he bought bitcoin, he can deduct losses on that proportional part.

I believe that in countries where bitcoin is regulated as a financial asset, it will be difficult to use it for day-to-day payments, even with LN. I can't imagine people filing their tax returns with thousands and thousands of payments. Unless an app is created that does it automatically, but that would mean giving the data of all your transactions to a third-party.

Another thing is countries like El Salvador, which recognize it as a currency, and I imagine that citizens do not have to account to the IRS for every transaction they make.

What do you think about it?

I think that this is a situation that is special to the U.S..

In my country, you are exempt on paying any capital gains tax on crypto transactions up to a certain amount. If that's not the case then it'll be a major hassle for anyone who is actually looking to spend their coins for sure.

Tax codes around the world are quite archaic still, and unfortunately only time will tell if governments will choose to reform them.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: October 15, 2021, 09:03:20 AM
I don't think that you should be going into this investment thinking that it will solve all your issues.

That's just unproductive, and you're going to be terribly disappointed at the results you get.

I would suggest holding a mix of BTC/ETH/ADA for the long term. Ride out any fluctuations in the short run and don't worry about what's the next up and coming hype coin.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: October 15, 2021, 03:39:26 AM
Ethereum looks very Bullish now and likely to hit 4K in few days if Bitcoin remains Bullish. Once Ethereum's major upgrade occurs sometime in late 2021 or early 2022, one simulation estimates that the circulating supply of Ethereum could shrink by around 1.4% each year at current rates of fee burning. Is this the right time to collect eth and wait till upgrade happen?.

There is never a "right time".

You should just dollar cost average your way into your ETH position if you believe in it for the long run.

It is clear that Ethereum is here to stay and it's got really good technology. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter whether you buy at $3k or $3.5k as long as you keep consistent with your purchases over time.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't trade using instinct on: October 15, 2021, 03:22:12 AM
Hello buddy
I am a new user in crypto, I learned a lot from friends who have been using crypto for a very long time, previously I lost a lot of assets, because of the experience and lessons I learned so that I can trade well, I have profited from BSC coins and now I have not invested in any other altcoins. Can you provide any suggestions for potential future altcoins?
I have $1226 in assets, Thank you. Smiley

Never heard of BSC before.

If you actually profited from whatever coin you invested in, understand that it was luck.

You are much better off diversifying out of that one coin that you hold, into more bluechip coins such as BTC, ETH, ADA that actually have utility and will survive in the long run.
94  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 14, 2021, 07:31:12 PM
I actually agree with this one.

The behaviour of not having a hot wallet and allowing cash outs to be cancelled is definitely shady.

I doubt that you'll be "scammed outright" if you play though. Lightlord has been around a while, has always been less than professional, but yet has always paid out at the end of the day.
Everyone is hoping for the best for him and even if he's too busy in things that he does. He should maintain the best service that's been known to them including the emptiness of their hot wallet. And as they promote instant cashout then that's what they have to maintain and always have someone to refill their hot wallet from time to time or make a definitive way to refill it automatically from the players fund that have lost to them just recently so that it's just a cycle of winners fund for withdrawal and losers fund to refill.

Yeah exactly.

Almost ponzi like if they don't handle this properly so waters can get muddy pretty quickly.

I'm not sure whether this is genuinely a scam attempt though, I'm fairly sure it's just perpetual mismanagement of the entire business or a result of not putting in enough effort for the maintenance of the company imho.
95  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportbook without KYC on: October 14, 2021, 08:12:34 AM
I have been searching for a sportsbook without KYC that have a fairly good reputation. And with fairly good I simply mean that they don't scam and steal you money.

So many options.

I'd probably go with Stake. They have a license, a good rep, and active forum presence.

No point using others in my opinion. Nitrogensports would have been my go to but they're having more issues these days.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 14, 2021, 07:41:17 AM
-snip-

It depends on how the gamblers fully familiarize themselves with these new trends, gamblers love to play in a traditional setting online and offline, if this metaverse gambling is easy to understand, no complications and gamblers can easily relate or familiarize and profitable, they will easily get into it, we'll see next year if this metaverse gaming will take off and become a serious threat.

As I said, I highly doubt that people will accept Metaverses at this stage.

It's way too early. The infrastructure around a lot of these metaverses are incomplete and game mechanics are too complex to understand properly.

Will you bother to learn so much about a metaverse just to bet $5? Or would you just put $5 on roulette on Roobet...
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the $500 for? NFT or Coin! on: October 14, 2021, 07:01:48 AM
Definitely coins.

NFTs are virtually useless outside of being a picture to look at.

Coins and tokens have actual utility that can be harvested unlike these NFTs. When the hype dies down, you'l appreciate this tip.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price After Lawsuit? on: October 14, 2021, 05:06:51 AM
Not much hope, but I never had big expectations for XRP anyway.

Being a centralized project it was always going to see a lot of roadblocks along the way.

The future is towards a more decentralized system and not just purely more integrations with centralized financial institutions. So XRP long term has no potential in that regard.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if the founder of Ethereum sells all the Ethereum he has in his wallet? on: October 14, 2021, 01:29:08 AM
Firstly, very unlikely.

People have been speculating on what Satoshi will do with his coins for a very long time now. Hasn't happened.

Secondly, it's not like Vitalik controls 50% of the supply. The community will be fine - in fact there is probably a lot of people wishing that they can get their hands on cheap ETH right now.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 10X-100X ALTCOIN at the latter half of 2021 ? on: October 14, 2021, 12:56:45 AM
If you really want to look at these high growth coins, maybe you should look at NFTs.

But I honestly don't think that the risk justifies the potential rewards.

Instead of looking for 10-100x growth and hype, maybe just invest in blue chip, proven tokens and coins that will probably appreciate just as much over the long term.
