Is SHIFT related with Zeronet?
Hi tobeaj2mer01, it depends on what you mean by related. Phantom is SHIFT's implementation of Zeronet. Phantom is able to interact with Zeronet, but Phantom is more than Zeronet. It will have its own DNS, that means instead of using account addresses to access sites, you will be able to create a domain name like mydomain.shift, which is more memorizable by humans. And since SHIFT is a cryptocurrency and Dapp platform, it will allow an entire ecosystem to be created. An image can help you get it more easily, even if it's not 100% accurate.  Now you're interested in an ICO, but instead, you can invest in SHIFT simply by buying on the market! And it's actually the best time to buy because we're at a few days of our first release of Phantom! Our two biggests exchanges right now are Bittrex and Livecoin. |

Hi dannygroove, Shift doesn't have a limited supply, however at some point (targeted at around 8M supply), Shift will become hybrid PoW-PoS and the number of new coins generated will drop dramatically. |

UPDATE JUN 09: SHIFTWALLET (GUI) 1.5.1
We have released SHIFTWALLET 1.5.1.
This update brings back compatibility with GShift. Transactions have been tested and are
working. There are some minor cosmetic bugs which will be worked out over the coming
days, as well as a Mac release.
This is an all-in-one release. It is no longer necessary to run GShift manually.

1. In order to execute this procedure, you need to be in a command prompt window. If you aren't yet, navigate through the Windows explorer to your new Gshift executable, hold the Shift key on the keyboard and right-click on a blank space. Release the Shift key. In the contextual menu, click on Open command window here.  2. In the command prompt, start the client with the command gshift-windows-amd64 console and wait for the blockchain to sync up. 3. You're in the console now, so type personal.unlockAccount("your address","your passphrase")with your own address and passphrase 4. then type shf.sendTransaction({from:"your address", to:"the address to send to", value: web3.toWei(1, "shift")})with the right addresses and amount (replace the 1 in the code with your amount) If successful, it will return you a transaction hash, that you can copy paste in the block explorer in order to verify that your transaction has been accepted by the network. |

Yes, this is because the site is in https now, and we're using a self signed certificate (third party issued certificates are not free), you can add an exception in your browser, it's safe. However, we're working on using http again, so that warning doesn't even show. |

If you need to sync your wallet and are stuck, here is what you can do to add peers automatically at launch: (this explaination is for Windows, but is similar on other OSes as long as you change paths and filenames accordingly) 1. Use Windows key+R to open the Run window. 2. In the Run window, type %appdata%\Shift to open the Shift data folder. 3. Right inside this folder, create a file called static-nodes.json 4. Open this file in your text editor. 5. Copy and paste this inside: (yes, including the brackets) [ "enode://4c8635f108dae8a997697d9c22ddca36969e7f9bc57d9fc01102d7e7d9633231331ae7f7307aceb1aa19130b5bdd4afe397db616c76e7ffc1c69302ba0d09a39@45.32.182.61:53900", "enode://f019da062a635a4e9e89ec93edc7ca11c06fdfec0574f1cb001126a82dc6ffa6ca05f924a683934ff5d01fc5d4b0ac9507349a945c97121b2a355d39b1781cd7@104.238.157.156:53900"

Here are a couple commands to add nodes manually. Sometimes, problems with NAT or Firewall can cause connectivity problems. Hi Maverick69, Yes, Krypton_Dev used pharesim's block explorer to create a temporary one for Krypton while he is away on real-life business. He won't be able to complete the 'kick-ass' one he promised us until his return and he didn't want to leave us waiting. I've been in contact with pharesim and have been working with him on items to change in his explorer. To that end, he has joined Krypton's slack and has spoken with me live. You're also welcome to come to Krypton's slack and talk about this but, it's really a non-issue. ( http://slack.krypton.rocks) All changes to the Krypton block explorer are coming from pharesim. Krypton_Dev is only pulling pharesim's latest changes, not making any changes on his own. Krypton's richlist ( http://richlist.krypton.rocks) is part of the proprietary block explorer that Krypton_Dev is developing. There are no plans to incorporate this richlist into the pharesim block explorer. Hope this clears things up. If we had something to contribute to the pharesim explorer, we certainly would. Well, whatever the reasons are, you removed the copyright. This explorer has been funded by Shift team for SHIFT, and it's not fair to do as if it hasn't been.
