81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers favorite tools on: July 17, 2020, 06:47:19 PM
1. Masternode coins are scammers favorite too.
2. Real Estate projects are scammers favorite too.
3. New exchanges are also used by scammers too

Anything that's very easy to fool investors will be on scammers list for sure, it's easy to detect fake masternode projects because they promise huge ROI, mostly too good to be true and do not trust new exchanges too unless they are transparency

In my span in crypto space DASH was the only coin masternode which actually gave me a decent profit lol apart from every coin ended up with a loss. Never trusted/invested in any real estate related projects.

I participated in ICO of COSS exchange and that ended up badly too so I agree with your statement above completely. Not all exchanges can be binance.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IDEX Market Google Store SCAM ALERT on: July 17, 2020, 06:29:54 PM
Be careful, Google Store has launched the IDEX Market mobile app, which is a SCAM.

Official tweet:
Quote
SCAM ALERT: A fraudulent IDEX app is currently listed on Google Play. Please be aware that we are working on getting it removed and encourage users to avoid downloading and interacting with the scam.

More then 500 downloads already.

The IDEX 2.0 version has not yet been released; it will be available on mobile devices. You can follow it release here .

That's a nice catch OP thanks for sharing it. This is second the phishing app I seeing on play store recently I also saw a fake atomic wallet app on playstore its time like this I am glad that Apple takes a long time to give approvals to the apps.

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting back in the coin game on: July 03, 2020, 09:38:31 AM
Greetings all

So I have been on a hiatus from the whole crypto game for +3years (Other real life obligations, market crashing without me getting out, etc).
However it seems to be more relevant than ever to come back, especially after this whole Corona business and the money printers going wild. I think
an alternative is more relevant than ever.

It's obviously basically a full time job to keep up with this market.

So for now my Portfolio is doing alright, but what big news/adoption cycle stuff did i miss?

Is Hardware wallet + Google auth still sufficent for security?

I hear that you can make passive income staking via this new Defi thing - Anything more i should know there?

What is the new hot coin to hodl?

Any help is much appreciated in advance.

Yep! 2Fa should be enough I think. DeFi is the hot topic in crypto right now almost all DeFi is pumping. Also, the binance chain is soon upgrading its network you can read more about it here. Also binance tied up with swipe to release cards.

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you wish you could do the most with your Bitcoin? on: July 03, 2020, 09:21:57 AM
Right now where I live it almost impossible to buy anything directly using crypto payments so I wish in future I could spend my crypto directly without converting it to fiat first.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm new here,what is altcoin on: July 02, 2020, 07:05:16 AM
I heard the knowledge of bitcoin (btc)and ETH since 2016 and i want to know the difference between altcoin and BTC and ETH.

and how influential is altcoin because beginners that ask question is really or interested to know which I am willing to know.

I know some people will react to this topic violently and some will respond with manner,
I am here to know what i don't know because I believe that knowledge is power and also the beginning of success.

All coins except bitcoin are considered to be an altcoin. If you want to read more about ETH and BTC check the links below.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page
https://ethereum.org/en/what-is-ethereum/

If you would like to buy altcoins then you will need an exchange I suggest you start with binance (lemme know if you need referal link you will get 10% off on trading).

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for the DFINITY airdrop on: July 01, 2020, 07:43:52 AM
Comrades, I need your opinion. I signed up for an airdrop from the DFINITY project, which promises to send coins for an amount equivalent to 100 CHF. At the same time, they ask to participants to pay $ 9 for the passage of KYC. It seems to me that this is a fraud, but what do you think?
Can the project require money for the passage of KYC and should I do it?

Damn! these scammers getting crafty each passing day. I knew they used to ask for ETH which they will return x3-4 but now asking 9 bucks for completing KYC is a new type of scam lol not only they will steal the 9 bucks but also your KYC data.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com - The Pioneering Payments & Cryptocurrency Platform on: July 01, 2020, 07:33:54 AM
So if they transfer the provider will the current card render useless and they would have to reissue the cards?

I agree when I first staked in their platform I was really worried too that they will shut down shop run away with funds.

I would imagine that the cards will need to be reissued by the new company, but it only effects users in Europe I think. Maybe there's someway to transfer accounts since the cards are issued by VISA but it probably depends on how operative and cooperative the defunct company is if at all.
Curve was another fintech company affect by the Wirecard fiasco. I got an email later this morning saying the card is working again.
No need to re-issue.
I hope Crypto.com can do the same

That's great to hear and because of that the price of MCO is also slowly recovering. It's a good thing that it got resolved so quickly otherwise issues like this usually take a long time to recover.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE ETHEREUM GAS FEES on: June 28, 2020, 07:07:55 AM
Ethereum remain the best and first smart contract project to be introduced on the blockchain platform. respect to that but i think it is high time they figure out on how to deal with high gas issues. this has lingers for over 3 months. so many payments are pending OR are been delayed due to high fees. what are the possible solution to FAST RESOLUTION of ethereum gas fees whenever it goes High.

Trust me this is nothing when crypto kitties was launched on ETH network was so clogged that we had to GWEI of 100. but I agree with your frustration they need to do something about it soon.

For Newbie How check Which bounty program is good or which one is Scammed and i have heard that many good ICO still not launching there coins

TBH you would have to research the project on your own before joining them because there are loads of scam projects these days. Also, joining campaigns of reputable BM could help you.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did dogecoin survive? on: June 26, 2020, 05:49:18 AM
If I'm correct, it's almost the same thing with bitcoin? It reached 0.01$ once but since then, its price is decreasing.

Dogecoin is unkillable in crypto-verse. It has one of the strongest community backings that's the reason I always rebuy whenever I see a significant dip in DOGE 'coz it gives good return during the bull market.

Did Wirecard supply the cards to crypto.com? If yes will we still be able to use the cards that they provided if the Wirecard completely shutdown?
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trusted projects ruined me !! on: June 25, 2020, 07:16:52 AM
Late 2017 and early 2018 i was holding lots of coins and tokens from the ico's in that some i really trusted with solution and team (not only me most of crypto community trusted). Now this coins or token became nothing . But some projects i entered  to sell for small margin profit these projects given profit . So holding token or coin for long term is meaningless.

The same thing happened to me as well during the 2017 bull run I kept holding coins because I trusted the teams too much but later they couldn't quite deliver the product. I had to sell the tokens later at a loss.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Projects on: June 25, 2020, 07:02:01 AM
A lot of people are predicting that the DeFi space will be the catalyst of the next bull run, projects like Maker and Compound have been hugely successful recently and many DeFi projects have performed brilliantly in the bear market.

Name the projects you're excited about in the DeFi space and why you think they will be big..

I'll start with an ICO I've recently invested in called Bidao. BiDao is a new blockchain system that creates a trustless stablecoin and a new decentralized financial tool that allows leveraged trading in a trustless setup. In the beginning, BiDao will be completely integrated with the Binance Blockchain and BNB will be used as the collateral. In the future other Blockchains will also be integrated into the BiDao ecosystem.

They are founded by Bastian Aigner who is young guy with a solid tech background and strong education. He reminds me a bit of Vitalik, some people are so smart it's like they are operating on a different level to everyone else and he is like that.

I too think that DeFi is going be the catalyst for the next mega bull run on crypto market 'coz ever since COMP price jump there's huge FOMO around DeFi projects IMO.
