Sweet! What do I win? A brand new car, or the new title of "Atlas' Stalker"?

I guess within 48 hours I'll be able to tell you if the sites a scam or not. I would like to know the secret behind it, maybe if they PM'ed me some details I'd keep it a secret, and would vouch for it if it was legit or not.
Did you send in? I am still waiting for oldminers.. I sent it to the actual site. If anything, I just paid 0.1 to be entertained for up to 48 hours. That's more entertainment/hour than a movie.

Two. Yep, Two. I'm going with that.

Usually people go for AM3 boards, since you can get some cheap Sempron processors. As far as the decisions from there, find a cheap one with two or more PCIE slots. You might have to get DDR3 RAM, but that's not too bad since you can get 2GB sticks for ~$10.

Must be a bad day for BTCGuild. Server problems and a ton of invalids and unlucky blocks in last 24 hours. My rewards dropped by 25% today

It's like joining a Coca Cola forum just to make threads saying how awesome pepsi is.
That pretty much describes how all forums eventually look.

All the computers are going to crash in 2000!!!Oh wait, wrong troll... Bitcoin will crash tomorrow!!!

But it turns out the "possibly" became "not". The alternative is to write them down in a little book that you always carry with you. Or have the same password everywhere. Whatever solution you use, it's going to be bad. Unless you have super memory, which I do not. Reminds me of a friend I have who has great memory. All his passwords are ~20 characters long, and involve numbers, letters (upper & lower). He picks a phrase and then implements it like: First letter, Number, Last letter, Number... . He makes a new password for every site. Amazing that he hasn't forgot any.

If an asset is expected to rise, people will hoard it given the choice. It's only human to aim for realizing the gains of your most productive assets.
If you convert all of your currency into bitcoin, hunger will force you to spend them, no? Spending on needs(food, clothing, shelter) isn't really a "choice" in the economical sense. Choice is more like buying a new TV or having a $40 meal. Those are not needed for survival.

I don't think it'll be the rise in value that causes more shops to accept bitcoin, I'll more likely be some easier way to trade coins with more speed and certainty.

Pool hashing speeds are not accurate. Only pay attention to the speeds the mining program tells you.

I doubt bitcoin will see the same success, since there is a barrier to entry to bitcoin. You need to spend money to get a spendable amount of bitcoin and utilize them, whether it be mining or direct purchasing. Unlike bitcoin, you can download torrents for many different trackers with no additional costs.

I don't know what kinda people you all deal with, but anyone who finds bitcoin 'hard' to use is completely retarded and shouldn't be allowed to handle any kind of money in the first place imho... I can only see a virtual currency backed by another virtual currency go wrong in so many ways, at some point it won't depend on bitcoin anymore but will lead it's own life as people 'trust' in it, and then we can do all kinds of fun and bad stuff with it.
I don't think we're pointing out that using the bitcoind client is hard, it's implementation of bitcoin payments on websites is the hard part. Examples like having to wait for payments to be confirmed, getting the correct amount of btc, or chargeback issues that may come up in person to person trades. It's a hard currency to implement and trust in cases like these, unlike payments with credit cards, which are now easy to implement and trust.

Pretty sure we said to change passwords weeks ago when that happened. Sorry you missed all 100 of those posts.

You'll only be able to fit three cards (without the use of risers) on that mobo, since 5830's take up two slots.

I imagine there'd be 51% of people with their new inflated coins with no value. Then there's be 49% of people with coins that have value.

I think they're up until they're filled or canceled.

Using the simple calculate on deepbit, you'll get ~.26BTC per day with 400MH/s.

For $700, three or four cards might not be possible since you'll need a good power supply to power them. Cheap low watt power supplies have the possibility of ruining hardware if they're running over capacity.
