It sounds like a coin toss as to whether your coins were ripped off or whether they were moved by accident. As you say you might have some confusion going on. I don't think udjin meant any insult. You should shut you masternodes down, get control of your coins, double check that they are super duper secure then start over if you really are spooked.
Thanks. Not spooked.. These systems are rarely on the Internet other then updating. On my master wallet system it shows no funds moving anywhere. My question is more out of curiosity... Why did the priv key secondary wallets on the 2 different machines show funds being subtracted... Yet the master wallet did not reflect this... A technical question as I'm building understanding of who all this works. Thanks. It's weird enough that you should be spooked. If someone had control of the wallet they might withdraw profits while allowing the nodes to continue drawing interest until they smelled the heat. About the master wallet, it would show no balance change if it was not synced yet, is it fully synced? The blockchain is the the 'truth' in this case, so look on an explorer. tldr: start from scratch after having mixed the coins and use any guide other than Tao's, but it sounds like its the cold wallet that is compromised. |

Have a withdrawal of 49 DASH that I never made, happen on my masternodes wallet. The amounts look like MN payments... this has happened twice now...another wallet had 66 DASH withdrawn?
Did you or someone else set-up the masternodes? Is someone managing the nodes for you? Yes...splawik, but he's sleeping I'm sure. He's been awesome with helping me but I'm trying to also help myself and learn how this all works. Hm, he will find what happen himself or with help I'm sure. And I 'd like to know. I'm wondering if its because I have the wallet addresses mirrored from a master wallet to the 2 new wallets i created that its showing this. Like the coins are being pulled back to the master wallet....I know I'm not articulating this properly...but I hope it makes sense. There is a common misunderstanding about how wallet works and I'd like to make it clear once again: there are no coins in a wallet actually, only private keys. All your coins are always on blockchain and wallet just gives you access to them by "unlocking" them in blockchain with your private keys allowing you to move coins to another address (i.e. to be secured by another private keys). So when you have "mirrored addresses" you actually have private keys (i.e. access to your coins on blockchain) in both wallets and if you move coins in one wallet you actually move them on blockchain. And if you sent some from that second wallet to another address you might used some inputs from the address that 10MN-wallet knows about. Let me guess... Did you mix non-1K funds in your second wallet?  NO! I'm not moron. These three wallets are only used for MN's! I do No NOT do transactions from these wallets. The setup is 1 main wallet on one machine, then w2 priv wallets with 10 MN's in each of the second priv wallets on 2 other machines. I these are all in separate machines, 3 computers. The main is not connected to the Internet. I have a 4th separate computer that has tx usable dash for mixing etc. And a 5th android device wallet as well exchange wallets. This whole ecosystem, IE All Crypto Currency, is not easy to understand or use. My back ground, for example, before the winery, I owned an IT company implementing network solutions with Novel and Windows NT, early 90's. Building systems for school boards and medical offices etc... When u had to set up IRQ and DMA settings on network cards on token ring and the cluster *#+a that was hardware back in the day. I Was one of the first companies to roll out digital xray systems for dental offices etcetera... So I know my way around computers and what I'm saying as I've said many times before this stuff it's NOT intuitive. Even Using wallets and it's features is NOT easy for everyday Joe. There seems to be a prevailing attitude among the crypto community, all crypto coins techies, suffer a lack of empathy for the average Joe. Over-simplificatoin is a sin, and it has side-effects. This thread is cursed with trolls, yes. But there is some legitimate feedback intermixed. For one thing, you need to ask for a clear defining of every single task the reference node performs. One thing that seems to be forgotten is that it is responsible for enforcement, which locks out everyone mining from cheating the masternode payment. Also, there was a five hour block that occured about 3 weeks ago that was only resolved by updating the reference node. It's not your fault you don't remmeber, but repeating false-mantra about the "insignificant" role of the reference node doesn't change what it is actually doing. There are atleast 5 settings. Also, drk doesn't have a very good record of dealing with enforcement sans reference node.

Evan, get back to basics and forget this Ed Moncado insider trading bullshit. You are a genius and are sitting in a perfect position to make digital cash a reality. The only obstacle you have is that you are in complete control and vulnerable to being influenced. Take a trip back, read the old satoshi writings, and remember why you are here! Getting rid of that reference node is priority #1 and its good that you see it.

You should be a little more honest. The only person who disappeared into thin air was Mr.Spread. Don't blame your investment decisions on Dash. Evan has been consistent, persistent and 120% dedicated to development since day 1. You saw an opportunity to become a first adopter Spread millionaire and dived straight in. Since then, you've become quite bitter. You've certainly entered FUD territory. If you truly feel what you think, perfectly fine to express your thoughts, juts don't be a troll from here on please. Never bought a single spread coin and actually defended a bit against them in here. Check my history. edit: I think anyone defending spreadcoin should first clarify whether or not they have invested in it ... It seems like something I would like, I've checked it out multiple times with an open mind, and it has always put a bad taste in my mouth. Its pretty disheartening to see the names that are so familiar in this thread over there. I have no love for it. |

Man I used to love this coin. I was a fanboy for a full year and could see no evil. If you are asking why people are selling, delusional bagholders are not the ones to ask, I know, I used to be one.
There's a hell of a lot of reasons people are selling. ROI is heading straight down and you can expect it to continue along that path. Sure 18% annually sounds OK, but the price would have to stay consistent for that year which seems to be a bit of a stretch considering drk has played all its relevant cards and the future of btc is looking a bit grim. Less than $2 a day and dropping fast is not really that enticing for every $3,500 you invest in such a risky investment like an altcoin. It has functional privacy, but thats really only relevant in the very short term because of the whole trusted third party aspect. I ignored it for a long time and I believe you can too, as long as you keep focusing on the pipe dream.
Evan is a loveable genius, but the coin is completely reliant on him which causes centralization. THis wouldn't be a big deal but it means he is vulnerable to being influenced and making reckless decisions. The director of the foundation is someone who has zero involvement in the community and is business partners with "Otoh". Where would the price be today if it were not for Otoh's blatant market manipulation? So you have all code being dependent on Evan, his confidante Ed Moncado whispering in his ear (ask the VIA dev how he feels about that guy), and Ed Monacado's business partner Otoh controlling the price. During all this time the ancient holders are getting around to setting up MNs, which drives the profitability of running a MN straight down.
And where does drk go from here? Masternode blinding is nice, but is still relying on third parties. Before tok claims they are just like every other client, they are not, they perform specilaized tasks that normal clients do not, and you have to trust them. Trusted third parties are the whole reason crypto exists and they are the devil. Instantx is cool but its really just forging confirmations, and you can tell how much the crypto community trusts th is apporach by the fact that zero exchanges have implemented it. COncerning the scalabitlity issue... it is solving a problem that does not exist for drk.
SO you want to go to mobile wallets and create friendly name and brand? Well, SDC has rocked the mobile wallets featuring anonoymity so tahts nothing new. As far as reaching out beyond the crypto community.. tell me what is the major difference to the end user between drk and these startups that they want to compete for the same name with? Tell me what is the difference to the end user who uses the "dash" app already accepted by 50 vendors in real life to the future dash app?? Instant transaction, already there. Some smart code they cant understand? Don't care. Superb privacy? Well they read some forums and people dont seem to be very confident in the privacy anyway.
SO its not only as tok said and the charts have gone from green to red. THere are some serious god damn problems with this coin and I wish I could see it the way I did before. Love you guys~!
