I'm more interested in the smooth Adam connection.... Shocked  this will be great to see develop.  Our instamine is old hat...that is 17month old news...SO YESTERDAY!

This...this would be devastating.   I, unlike our friend Adam, see no good coming from the demise of his coin in such a fashion.  Interesting times indeed.

Necessity is the mother of all invention, I believe we are seeing the attempted formation of Troll 2.0.

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

Oh...no sir...I fully agree that the past is always important...that is how one builds ones future.  It is mistakes and lessons learned that builds foundations.  DASH is no different.  But the only moment that ever does truly matter is this moment, NOW!  You are free to pick your story.  I do not trash you for picking your coin and the hopes and dreams that may afford you.  That is your right....respect is the key of the choices others make.  That is my point.

agreed.

here is where our differences lies about DASH, lying, scam, premine/instamine, name stealing with developer removal of dashcoin.

Well...that certainly is the one of many differences you and I would have then sir.  Instamine is not NOT a scam.  It turned out to be a necessary tool for development and we didn't even know it at the time.  You'll soon find out, if you haven't already, how instrumental this actually is in your own coin, money, cash...fuels development, all development...this is a currency after all Wink.   Either way...i think you and I will never see eye to eye on this.  I do wish you good luck...but remember...your views on the story...and you weren't there in the beginning, I was...are your own views.  Never forsake the real for the Ideal!  words of wisdom.  goodnight sir

LOL...you are adorable yourself.   LOL....  82 votes...in a forum called BCT(which no one in the real world knows or cares about) that its whole investment pool is worth less then half my equipment inventory.  To those individuals like Otoh, I and others, it is you and your ilk that are the ones that are adorable... Kiss

If it even mattered remotely to Otoh, myself or others on here to crush your coin world, it would be a mere sneeze to do so.  But since those in our position care little for your meaningless drivel...we'll let you play in your meaningless sand box.

PS ...for the record, Evan, if he had pocketed 600,000 DASH, 16 months ago...which most certainly he did not since it ended up in my associates and my hands and others...he would have deserved EVERY bit of the money. Its an embarrassment to the idea of a global currency that you think a million dollars is a sizable reward for creating such a robust coin technology.  You need to climb out of your minimum wage job my friend and socialistic utopia you envision....its effecting your ability to see the big picture.

Thanks Ignition.  Truly I'm not sure where in the early annuls of crypto development did it mention some kind of rules that the eventual currency must be fairly distributed to all the land and must not be this or that, I don't have those 10 commandment tablets on my night table...anyone have a copy for me?

And on the 8th day, the grand socialist Bubah said "pass this on to thy brothern and make all the coins spread to the ends of the earth in an even manner"  and it was so.   And on the 9th day the grand socialist Bubah said  "THOU SHALL NOT INSTAMINE, for if done...I shall invoke the wrath of my servant ADAM WHITE"....and it was so.

..... Not sure what BUTTHURT Planet these idiots are from....but listen up.  Evans, and by extension us as DASH community members are not put on this planet to make you rich!  We are not here to distribute the future crypto wealth to come to all the lands.  NOPE.  We are not here to spread the manna to all and share and share alike!  NO!!!!

Evan...and the DASH's teams only mandate is to develop and facilitate what is hoped to be a robust and scalable  global currency solution!  That is it.   We are not here spread fairy dust, ride magical socialistic unicorns and come and live on your communist commune, NOPE.

And...it  CERTAINLY WAS NOT IN OUR MANDATE to make sure YOU were paying attention in January, 2014....16 months ago...to make sure you and your socialist buddies got in on the action, while you where playing with your dolls.  NO.

What is hoped is that this,  DASH,  will be something decades after our bones are bleached and you and I are forgotten wastes of skin, was a global currency devoid of government intervention.  That it is secure, fungiable, fast....and easy to use by all countries around the globe.

I am NOT my brothers keeper nor yours.

Over-simplificatoin is a sin, and it has side-effects. This thread is cursed with trolls, yes. But there is some legitimate feedback intermixed. For one thing, you need to ask for a clear defining of every single task the reference node performs. One thing that seems to be forgotten is that it is responsible for enforcement, which locks out everyone mining from cheating the masternode payment. Also, there was a five hour block that occured about 3 weeks ago that was only resolved by updating the reference node. It's not your fault you don't remmeber, but repeating false-mantra about the "insignificant" role of the reference node doesn't change what it is actually doing. There are atleast 5 settings. Also, drk doesn't have a very good record of dealing with enforcement sans reference node.

Smooth how far are you going to hurt Monero with you trying to attack something is so much bigger than you? go back to Monero and actually do some WORK, maybe just MAYBE I would be interested to get in that coin if it actually delivers some new things to this new wild west called Crypto. Monero people attacking this awesome with full of innovation coin comes out because you have nothing else to do with Monero in my investor eye opinion.

He is a bit busy at the moment.....centralisation issues for XMR stopping folks accessing coin....solution is to base people in all times zones to monitor and fix...otherwise you'll have to call a mobile phone apparently.

If, at some point, we can afford support staff in different time zones we can alleviate the risk of this happening. If it is ever super urgent, and I am asleep, all of the core team have my mobile phone number and can call me till I wake up.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.24340

This is bullshit anyway and sloppy to contribute. MyMonero is a 3rd party feature, not core to the coin. Further, if you generated your seed from simplewallet and imported it into the site, you still would have access via simplewallet in the event MM is down. On top of that, there is code available on github for importing your coins from MM into simplewallet.

Spreading this sort of stuff around is no better than any of the other FUD that has been spilled back and forth between both camps.

It's obvious DashHoles don't care about technology, fair launches, actual emission matching theoretical, decentralization, huge attack surfaces, trusted third parties, or best security practices.  These kids aren't old enough to have learned about such grown-up matters.

They are fine with Dash's unproven homespun ad hoc crypto.

All that matters to DashHoles is getting a gold donkey.

I think that was an issue with p2pool(now resolved) and enforcement was turned off to get it going again.
As far as I know it's enforcement and maintaining regularity of MN payments.

Agreed it's going to be a bit more tricky updating etc without it.

I do like the drama of HARD FORK PLEASE UPDATE though Smiley

We need to be a lot better at it though.
