Installed the wallet last night, downloaded the Blockchain torrent while I was sleeping, and syncing the remaining blocks now. Looking forward to jumping on board with all of you! Just thought I'd say hello Welcome Trenton. If you want to get started mining with a GPU there are instructions on http://credits-currency.org/viewforum.php?f=18. The instructions are lying a little since the source for the miners are out now, so GPU mining should be possible on Linux as well. There's a welcome bonus of 10 CRE once you have the wallet in sync so just post your address here and I'll send it over. Join the IRC listed in the OP, it's well frequented and people are usually helping out with any problems with regards to the coin that you may have. Again, welcome! Awesome, thanks for the additional info! My address is: 1Fs1E8FMEX1NwGZD7uJTTeDpjZE2bNPmg1 I'm stoked to be a part of this Welcome Trenton! Nice seeing you from bustabit.com If you have any questions feel free to ask, I'm available most of the time on these forums and on the IRC channel, #CreditsCurrency !

Which are your posts you are claiming were not paid for? 58 post magic88ball from 255 to 313 we hope we can get fairness thank you In my opinion (and seeing how it was my campaign, my opinion should be the only one that counts), these posts are not quality. All of your posts were the same length, spaced to appear like a lot of text, and always in the same subforum - micro earnings. It seemed more like you were just abusing post count and spamming to receive a high payout.

@GreydonIselmoe Can you confirm whether these posts were made in relevant period? Yup, they were. Those we're the only 6 posts he made during the period in question, with the 7 day period before that having a total of 3 posts.

So, a valid reason for cutting members of the campaign is that, we don't have the bankroll to pay out 30+ users. We shortened out list, and cut off the members which we felt were not giving Credits a good reputation. I PMed each of those 5 Full members personally, explaining why this happened. However, your posts were not to the standards at which we wanted, therefore we removed you from the campaign.
I hope you understand this, and am slightly disappointed you decided to open up a scam accusation thread instead of just handling this with me via PM.
Anyone else have opinions on this?
Yes i do and you should pay what you have to, he has a point, you never specified exactly the terms or that you could just delete any member you wanted, if you did i wouldnt say anything but you didnt so... The point being, if he was going to be paid as if he stayed for the whole week, he would have been paid 0 btc, since he had less than the minimum post count.

Regarding "breaking promises", I as well as any other campaign manager am allowed to add promotional rates/bonuses at any time at my discretion. We had 2 slots left, and decided to allow THOSE 3 REGISTRANTS to post up 80 times and be paid. I explicitly stated that in the thread multiple times. Regarding the bonus, we still have only had 4 members come forward asking for the bonus, which they received. I hardly see how this is an issue, seeing how we have a max of 20 users on the campaign.... 15 users would receive MORE CRE as their bonus. Also, please at least spell my name right, it's GreydonIselmoe.

I'm getting an error while synchronizing the credit wallet (bitcoin is already sync) It hapens at the coin age of 5 weeks.
"Error moving claim tip. "Expected active credits block: 0000000078.....0004f, was 000000001b......203a." "Credits Failed to connect best block" Only option is to pres OK and the wallet closes/crashes... Tried also the older versions, but same issue. Any advise on that?
Thanks.
"2a) Open up command prompt and navigate to where you have the credits-qt.exe located. 2b) type: start credits-qt.exe -checklevel=2 -reindex" Or you could download the Bitcoin blockchain and reinstall the credits client along with its binaries. Reindexing is a pain and takes forever. :IThe blockchain download might take as long as a reindex, depending on your DL speed though Personally I'd just run a reindex.

Any new development like Factotum or Gems to invest in, something substantial and not hype?
Please don't make this a pump your coin thread. I just want to know about exciting current projects that are launching and can be invested in.
If you're looking to get in on a project "early" in it's life, check out Credits. Hell, we're only about to get listed on an exchange this week. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1037244.0The coin is about 1.5 months only, and is the first implementation of a soft sidechain for bitcoin. It also has a new Proof of Deposit system that reduces the reliance on miners and generating power to keep the blockchain moving. I became a part of their team for a reason, I saw it as very promising. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me

It means your blockchain is corrupt, but Gabriel is actively working on a fix to reduce/completely fix this issue. For now, if you have the blockchain downloaded from the torrent file, you can simply delete the bitcoin_block, bitcoin_chainstate, bitcoin_chainstatecla, bitcredit_blocks, and bitcredit_chainstate folders. Once you have those deleted, you replace them with the files downloaded via torrent! If you haven't downloaded the torrent yet, you'll need to either: 1. Download the torrent for future and current use 2. start credits-qt from the command line with the REINDEX option true, which will take ~8-14 hours depending on your system's CPU speed. 2a) Open up command prompt and navigate to where you have the credits-qt.exe located. 2b) type: start credits-qt.exe -checklevel=2 -reindex Wait ? Profit!

Woohoo! AMD card users rejoice! Unfortunately I don't have any AMD cards so I'll stick to my ccminer setup I'm sure this release will be well received by the community Pools are now getting that much closer to reality!

Seeing how it uses moneypot as a bankroll, is it possible to configure untitled dice to use my local coindaemon? I'm trying to use this with an altcoin, that's why I ask.
Regarding backdoors, I see that Ryan would probably have screened this a bit and it's most likely safe. Thanks for your work!

Have they figured out ASIC mining with this coin yet? I see it says SHA256 for the algorithm so I was wondering if anyone figured out how to mine it with ASICS yet?
It may or may not even work with Bitcoin ASICs. Hmmm weird why would that be? I figured if it was the same algorithm that it would be able to be mined with the same hardware used to mine that algorithm no? It's because ASIC's are built to calculate with a certain specific block header, which most sha256 coins have the same layout for. Credits has a differently arranged and bigger block header, which is why GPU miners had to be re-coded for Credits. We're still investigating whether ASIC mining is possible at this point
|
|
|
How would I run this on my own domain?
Look great, though! I'm not entirely familiar with moneypot, but I do know that most other open source dice scripts tend to have backdoors hardcoded somewhere to send deposits to a specific address, or allow for an attacker (the developer) to enter and withdraw or mess around with existing code.

Good to see the updates, Will there be pools available for amd gpu mining? Are people just going solo with cudaminer at this time?
Pools are under development, but a modification is needed in ccminer and sgminer to allow for stratum mining Any update? According to gabriel, the next version of the wallet will most likely have pool-mining capabilities, meaning I could get my pool ready.
