81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Self moderating campaigns on: January 20, 2021, 02:07:38 PM
I suggest you should try asking a very good question the self moderated bounty thread, if the question is removed and left unanswered you don't need to be told that it's unsafe, do not promote such project, there are many reasons that you won't get paid
82  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PAPER WALLET on: January 20, 2021, 02:02:05 PM
Probably a unpopular opinion:

If you don't know how to confidently create a paper wallet securely, using a paper wallet might not be a great option. Getting a cheap hardware wallet(Ledger Nano S/Trezor One) is a far more secure option for the typical beginner. There's just a good number of ways while generating the paper wallet that could completely mess up your security.

In addition to that, NEVER BUY A USED HARDWARE WALLET, NEVER!! Only buy then from the official website/store of the wallet producer to be sure that nobody made any tweaks on it. Even if you buy a small amount of coins it's worth it to keep it in a wallet.
For example if you bought a 300$ worth of bitcoin when the price was around 3000$ in 2019. Now this 0.1BTC cost approx ~3500$. What will cost in 5 -10 years, nobody knows.

You are right, buying used hardware wallets is like buying a new house with the owner still keeping the keys for it.
As for a paper wallet: you could simply export your private key, print it and store it in a safe plase. Or do you need QR Code for receiving coins?
As paper an be destroyed you could also engrave it in to a metal plate, there are "metal plate kits" for bitcoin/crypto wallets on amazon and co.
It depends on where you generates the paper wallet, I don't trust online paper wallet generators because there may be a leak on the website, I heard it's possible to generate paper wallet offline? That will be safest option but honestly hardware wallets are safer
83  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My birthday merit treat to newbies and others who are about to rank up! on: January 20, 2021, 01:58:22 PM
Btw question. Is it wrong or against the rules to send a lot of merits in a single day or having fast interval because of this special treat of mine even if all of them are helpful and valuable? I don't wanna abuse the system, just making sure that I abide by the rules. Thanks!
The rule is 50 merit per user in 30 days. That means you can only send 50 merit to the same user within 30 days. Then, if you have 1000 sMerits then you can also send fairly for 1000 posts or 1 merit per user and you won't break any rules even if you do it in one day. But I'm pretty sure you won't get that amount for a quality post.

If you have any doubt, see how the merit source distributestheir sMerit. One example you might consider is @DdmrDdmr merit send history.

Okay cool! Yeah that’s why I have to be careful. I’ll be checking on that too buddy. Thanks again!
HBD OP, I suggest you should make a list of members that you've successfully merited, it seems no one received merit from you yet? Try making a list on the original post to make things look more cleaner and clearer, Long life and prosperity
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum overpower Bitcoin in the future? Which side are you on? on: January 19, 2021, 12:07:54 PM
Ethereum can't overpower bitcoin

1. Bitcoin is more recognized than Ethereum
2. Bitcoin have the lowest max supply
3. Bitcoin controls the highest volume and liquidity, if Bitcoin revaluate all other coins will follow
4. We don't know what the CEO of Bitcoin looks like, bitcoin practice decentralized more than other
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Work algorithm is here to stay, do not be deceived on: January 19, 2021, 12:04:22 PM
It doesn't feel right for Ethereum to abandon POW algorithm, this algorithm have a big role playing in Ethereum life today, I guess that's why vitalik buterin still decide to go with EIP 1559 when the gas fee is ruining the fun for the platform users, if POW have no meaning for Ethereum anymore the CEO won't bother with EIP 1559
86  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Earning Methods on: January 19, 2021, 12:02:00 PM
Hundreds of ways available to make money online but each one if them requires real skills to make money.

Bounties and Airdrops are just a waste of time so don't bother continue them in 2021.

Ways like affiliate marketing is one of the highest paid earning method in online but it take ages to make such things or you csn become a freelancer on lot of websites available if you have any real skill apart from writing useless contents.
I don't believe that bounties are waste of time, too many bounties are becoming profitable for bounty hunters since 2020, I believe that things have gotten better for bounty participants since last year now, I still remember making over 400$ from DIA in 2020, another good project is base protocol, stobox, amepay, boringdao, poolz, all these projects paid good rewards to bounty hunters
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: January 18, 2021, 04:17:32 PM
I got disinterested in XRP back in March 2020 when I learned about the 20 XRP wallet minimum. That was a deal breaker for me because it requires people to invest some money that they will never be able to access again. Also, I did not like how XRP is centralized. But now, with the giant lawsuit, why are people still buying?
The higher the risk the higher the reward, lawsuits my foot, what makes crypto a fun place to be is the risks involved, XRP is a top altcoin project and it's the first that SEC will go after, there hasn't be any top project that SEC went after, what makes you think that XRP won't be victorious here?
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you take loan(s) to invest in crypto? on: January 18, 2021, 04:06:57 PM
It's more easier to lose money in crypto space, if loan is a must for you or the only choice you have left use it for businesses offline not crypto investment, you will end up losing the money one way or the other, most especially if you are still new to crypto and you don't know how to manage risks
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you take loan(s) to invest in crypto? on: January 18, 2021, 04:05:38 PM
Loans aren't for the poor, it's a perfect helping hand for those who are half rich, for those who have enough collaterals to pay loans back if things go wrong, loan is never for the poor because it will take a heavy hit on them or probably taking their live away forever, you gotta be careful around loans
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Accidently send my USDC (USD Coin) to an Tether adress... Need help.. on: January 17, 2021, 04:30:19 PM
Hi guys!

2 days ago I send my USDC from my CoinbasePro account to my Tether adress on my Bybit account with ERC20.

I wrote the Bybit support if they can assist in this case but since now there is no answer.

Is there any chance, how I can restore, send back.... the USDC?

Thank you in advance for your help guys Sad

If Bybit team are good people who cares about how others feel they can help you out and warned you to never repeat same mistake again but the truth is they have all reasons to deny you because they have warning signs when trying to make deposits that one must deposit the exact token to the address, If they don't look at your side it's not their fault
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEfi Hype Trends! This is not something you expect, go before you get stuck FOMO on: January 17, 2021, 04:27:37 PM
I've seen a lot of old projects that changed the concept to Defi. To me this isn't great because obviously they are using the hype just to revive their project.
someone is crazy about Hype Defi! It's a red light for you, be careful before you cry get caught up in this FOMO.
It's a big warning sign to stay away from any project that change their ways for money making sake, it shows that they can do anything without caring about their reputations, it's same thing some projects did when kucoin exchange was hacked, they change their smart contract instantly but these projects claimed they are 100% decentralized.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: January 17, 2021, 04:23:59 PM
Hahahaha I have been getting quite alot of engagement lately... and pretty sure I'm not the only one  it's crazy seeing dm's  from doctors, lawyers, engineers, astronauts & Olympians.  Parents wanted me to be any of the above and now they're in my dm's trying to learn about crypto and how I make 6 figures from holding/staking altcoins like $BET $LINK $ ADA. Hmmmmmmmmm life.
Don't mind them parents of nowadays, they have forgotten that we can't all keep pursuing the same dreams, if everyone turn to doctors who will be patients in the hospital? Lol, I have many family and friend who looked down on me when I started my crypto journey in 2016, they believe I was throwing my life away and now when they started hearing about bitcoin here and there they want to start giving me face 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, human beings, sigh 🤷🏼‍♂️
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOT [Polkadot] Speculation on: January 16, 2021, 05:26:52 PM
Polkadot has quickly risen in the ranks of top projects because of the ability of the para chains to issue its tokens,  kind of similar to Ethereum-based protocols.
This platform was getting hyped like chainlink in the past but I'm sure that after the hype already done and the price will be going down again slowly but surely. i have been seeing the same thing happened so many times with the major coins. That being said if this pump already organized by the whales to create big FOMO. They will dump it when it reaches the peak price.
Really? I find DOT very interesting because of its use case not because of hype, can't believe some people are still belittling this project, this Polkadot and Avalanche are the best new projects of 2020 to me, if dumps do comes I will which can happen after bull season is done I will be waiting to buy
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wich motherboard... ZEC on: January 16, 2021, 05:21:21 PM
Wich motherboard have enough PCI express slot to mine Zcash, I want to build rig with 4 cards but it can be more, up to 12 if possible.

Tanks a lot, sorry for posting about zec here

Cordially
It's good to see more people buying computer parts to build a mining rig but mind you it's bad news to mine ZEC with gpu because of high mining difficulty, it's no more a good idea unlike few years ago, right now you need an asic miner to mine ZEC, very tough just like when one plans to mine LTC, gpu mining these coins are is too late
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: January 16, 2021, 05:18:21 PM
Crypto is full of surprises you know, anything can adjust and change at any time, who would have believe that a new crypto project like Polkadot could make it to number four on coinmarketcap? A brand new coin for that matter? Surprises have a home in crypto Space, anything is bound to happen
If Ethereum isn't careful it might actually lose its position to another coin, presently the blockchain is a pain in the ass for users because of high gas fee and now I heard a new update is coming that will reduce miners mining rewards, very soon mining won't be that profitable anymore
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the future of GPU mining.... on: January 15, 2021, 03:58:01 PM
I've stopped deceiving myself, I don't think the POS will ever happen because majority of miners out there are mining Ethereum, just imagine what could happen if that stops, Vitalik don't know what he is doing I bet, maybe he already realize that Ethereum truly belongs to POW algo
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum or DeFi projects? on: January 15, 2021, 03:55:51 PM
Seriously I just look at most DeFi projects as 2x opportunity or more, I don't plan on holding them too long because they can become successful or the opposite in no time, the only DeFi projects I respect is chainlink and very limited others, DeFi still have a long way to go, a fully decentralized platforms that have no real solution for security but not all of them
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1inch discussion on: January 15, 2021, 03:53:32 PM
I haven't get the reason or advantage to give 1inch platform a try since I have no coin or token that's trading only on the exchange, I do hope that all these new DEX will try to do better than Uniswap cos Uniswap still lacks in some areas, sushiswap is another fine DEX too but they have to find areas of specialists to be attracted to by users
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about altcoin season, on: January 14, 2021, 03:59:12 PM
It's true that things are more different now, investors have become more smarter and majority of them looks at every new altcoins as scam, if altcoin season is ever going to come many investors would have been buying altcoins right now but focus isn't on altcoin this time, finally investors have understand the difference between real use case and just altcoins
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEFI begin new trending or end soon? on: January 14, 2021, 03:56:46 PM
Hello everyone!
At this moment, i think Defi is a hot word. Do you think this is beginning a new trend or will be end soon?.
I am a trader, but i have earn a lot of money from Defi coin by ICO, i do not  think Defi trend can go long time.
Unfortunately DeFi hype reigned for a very short time, many made good profits from the hype but to me the hype began at a wrong time, just think about if bullrun was alive while the DeFi craze was ongoing, it may probably help other altcoins too I think
