81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: September 05, 2016, 01:29:33 PM
Here's a thought:

If Iguana is so close to being finished for the first release and its development is independent of this new ICO, why not just finish it, then do the ICO?  Perhaps this would build more trust and more people (especially long time BTCD supporters) would support the ICO.  Iguana seems to be the one thing that development has been focused on for a good part of the year and many have been anticipating its release.  So to all of a sudden announce a new tech that is still being developed and will require yet even more extensive testing/debugging, is pretty ridiculous.  I understand this new tech is promising and could change everything, but it could wait.

The most terrible thing about multitasking is that it tends to leave a lot of tasks unfinished.  Focus on one thing at a time and get it done right.  Why is that so hard?

What are the unique features of Fibre?
FibreOS is pretty unique, it is a feature I never even thought of. So that is quite a rare thing to happen
and with Windows still around, it is clear that the world needs a way to create a safe place for crypto wallets that is accessible to Windows users, but not running under windows

James
FibreOS is an Ubuntu derivative. It's not a feature of a coin, it's simply a repackaged client in an iso.
Tails Linux already includes a Bitcoin client and when SuperNET gets popular someone will make an Ubuntu derivative that includes SuperNET by default.
FibreOS isn't unique at all and I don't think it brings anything useful to the SuperNET - it's not a feature of a coin.

What is the unique feature of this coin?

Perhaps we are missing something important, but I'm actually thinking the same thing.  I'm definitely interested in hearing what is so unique about this OS.  If I remember correctly, XC did something similar awhile ago and so did Keycoin (which turned out to be a big flop).  So how is this a new/unique idea?

Also, is this the same Fibre that is in Blocknet?  If so, will Fibre be a part of both Blocknet and SuperNET?

I haven't been keeping up with news like I used to, but last I heard, opinions of Blocknet are generally pretty negative.  So this makes me a bit concerned.  If someone can enlighten us, that would be greatly appreciated.

InstantDEX is about to be released. Hence the price drop. The more features are released the more people like to sell.

It is part of the buy high and sell low strategy. So it is not based on anything rational, unless the point is to create uncertainity

James

It is amusing how this has been the case of late.... seems someone is most certainly holding this coin down, but their bag(s) will eventually run dry and everyone who stayed true will prosper Wink

I'm really anticipating the InstantDEX release; can't wait to see that baby in action...... HODLing strong Smiley

NWweight:86,347

Well, depends on what is meant by "released".  Everything is definitely there and anyone can check/test all the features, but that's if they have the technical knowledge to do so.  But as far as features that are usable by everyone in the community, it's not quite there yet.

Sorry, don't mean to be negative.  Just trying to stir the pot.   Smiley

Considering the size and depth of the SuperNET project, perhaps a more realistic release date is summer 2015

that's just the old ITO wallet. Nothing going on there. All the action has moved to:

LOL, I just love this photo. Speaks volumes. Can't stop laughing.

What's more funny is you failing to realize what that was really making fun of.  lol

So... Cassius is getting laid tonight is my understanding from reading the recent posts.

Though $100 price would require around $2 in dividends per year at a 50:1 ratio, which is about $4700 of dividends per day.

Could someone ELI5, please?

Correct me if wrong:

50:1 ratio is in terms of total market cap to dividends per year.

There is a total of 816061 SuperNET assets.

816061 * $2 = $1,632,122 in dividends a year

$1,632,122 / 365 days = $4,471.57 in dividends per day

Is 50:1 p/e realistic? I know it would be in the real world, but crypto people have different expectations. I just have no idea for how to evaluate this in crypto terms.

Are you saying that crypto people tend to have higher expectations in terms of profit so we would need a higher earning per share to reach a price of $100 per share?

I guess it makes sense and this could very well be the case. It's just crazy that pretty much everything going on with SuperNET has never been done before so it's all just a guess. Makes it pretty exciting.

This thing should be worth at least 100$  Smiley
Not until it is fully operational, or at least not until the market realizes that it is just a matter of time before it is fully operational.

Though $100 price would require around $2 in dividends per year at a 50:1 ratio, which is about $4700 of dividends per day. Realistically, to achieve this there would need to be 25,000+ users (~15 cents per day per user), which is a largish number, but certainly within reach.

I know it is just a matter of time, but I do have inside knowledge, so I just have to be patient for the rest of the world to find out.

James

I agree, I think that is very reachable probably even by 2016, if not sooner. But I also tend to think that one unity could be worth thousands in 5 years time.

My reason is there are just so many different moving parts within this project and the people behind each part apear very intelligent and highly motivated. And this is just the beginning.

so let me get this straight if i buy supernet unitys I get dividends from ALL assets on supernet or just certain ones ....im still confused  Huh

you will get dividends of all assets released related to supernet, AND you will also get dividends from all the affiliates that supernet owns portions of.
so once they are all up and running JUST FOR OWNING SUPERNET you will get dividends from
Privatebet
InstantDEX
NXTprivacy
Atomic
NeoDICE
NXTcoinsco
cryptocard
Pangea
FreeMarket
Omnigames
etc...

plus you will get paid asset dividends and the assets that you got from dividends will then later PAY dividends
+1
This is the sweetest thing about holding SuperNET assets aside from all the tech/development behind it that many do not realize yet.

But of course this is what makes us early adopters Smiley

Perhaps someone should send him a message and inform him about the SuperNET project?

Should link to that video on the SuperNET/BTCD website

Any word on the Bter Pangea dividend distribution, still waiting here.

Thanks Much, JJ
no date yet, maybe making bter tech support tickets would help?

Support ticket submitted.

Would it be too late to transfer unity to a nxt wallet to receive the Pangea dividend? I was holding off on transfering out of bter until the btcd wallet release.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, JJ

I would just leave your Unity assets on BTER for now. They have already been notified of the Pangea dividend and from the sounds of it, they will soon manually distribute the pangea assets on BTER based on your unity balance there.

So if you transfer to a nxt wallet now, you will miss out on getting the dividend on BTER and you might not even get the dividend at all since the dividend has already been distributed to unity holders on the NXT wallet.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much development does a million bucks buy you in an ICO? Answer inside on: November 25, 2014, 05:58:56 PM
they did not get a million for their ico. Most was selfbuys.

I agree. I'm willing to bet Dan, Prom, and others in their group "bought" a big portion of the ICO.  And those BTC's just goes right back to them and now they are probably slowly selling their "bought" tokens to people who are silly enough to buy them.

Will these asset dividends reach BTER?

I still didn't received any shares in Bter.

As someone has mentioned elsewhere, BTER has already been notified about the new dividend, so the time it will take to distribute the dividends on BTER is really up to them.  From my understanding, the process is not automated on BTER.  So if you want to find out how long it will take, I think you will need to contact BTER directly.

Cool.  Will have to test this out.

Can't tell if terrible reading comprehension, FUDing or just Newbie... Anyway if you look to the frontpage you will find a link to GitHUB:
https://github.com/atcsecure/blocknet

That's just the source to the blocknet wallet, which is just like any other POS wallet, so nothing special there.

The source to what is suppose to be the actual tech is here:  https://github.com/atcsecure/xbridge

Not a whole lot there and it hasn't been updated in awhile.

"6 commits" and "authored 12 days ago".  They are sure hard at work...

Can't say no one has been warned.

Slack is exploding, we are now up to 10000 messages per day!

James

Yeah, dropped by to take a look at the slack channel the other day.  It was a thing of beauty.  Was also nice to see Kristov Atlas in there.

And did somebody say new dividends?  It's starting to feel like Christmas Smiley

That is such a joke

EDIT:  Sorry, I don't want anyone here to take my comment the wrong way.  I don't mean to say that jl777 doesn't deserve to be honored.  It's just that to me, coinssource has lost a lot of credibility based on some of the things they have published.  I take everything they say or do with a grain of salt.
