Sorry guys, we need to de-list gridcoin. We're running version 2000500 and cannot for the life of us get any connections. We've been trying for WEEKS, and no nodes we add work. Not sure if it's because we compiled from the git, or the nodes, or some weird thing that your wallet needs, but it's totally DOA.
If someone manages to get a compiled, working, connected version going under linux, please email me directly, but for now... it's been dead for a month. We can't connect.
Hi, you do know that you need the special version from the Rob(the dev) himself and that the older ones aren't going to work. We've talked about this more than 2 weeks ago. Have you tried finding out how to contact him on Github or tried the e-mail I sent you again? Andrew. Yeah, I've emailed three times with no response. It's not worth this headache - coins should want to be on an exchange, it shouldnt be the exchange begging the coin for special code. Which I have a problem with anyway - being private, we have no way to verify it's safety. So even if I did hear back - thats a security issue. I've been taking care of some issues, and responding to the gridcoin.us inbox and the cryptocointalk inbox. I have not yet made my rounds to pick up my bitcointalk pms, I apologize if that is where you are sending these messages. After being attacked, we had to put a system in place to prevent the problem until it is safe to make the repo 100% public. The code is 100% public, and is on schedule to be released as public during the heartbleed release and the cpuminer release. The point is, it currently requires your exchange to be a collaborator, or the wallet WILL NOT SYNC. Notice, I did not suggest that you need a private version or an unsafe version. You would be a member of the github codebase, and build the actual source. The only thing we currently require that is different from other coins is the ability to enter an exchange key in the code. If you are still interested in listing gridcoin, send me a PM with your github username and Ill take care of it. Hey all, trying to figure out what it required to setup a stratum server supporting X11 coins. Links to any github sources appreciated. I've setup lots of regular scrypt coins, but don't know what our how to setup the X11 coins for stratum.

Any update?
I'm shutting down the block explorer tonight. No bounty sent by dev and no replies to email or PMs. Keeps delaying his "promised" payouts and delaying for no reason. If the coin dies, it's the dev's fault on this one for not being true to his word. I really thought this one had something. |
