81  Economy / Services / Re: weekly paid job , a girl and full member above is a must on: March 27, 2015, 07:38:54 AM
why so many people complaining about OP on looking for a girl staff? i dont see any problem in it, its his choice whether to look for a girl or not. i think he is looking for a girl staff because the site uses a girl as model Cheesy

He doesn't really seem to care about verifying whether it's actually a girl or not or even whether they've got good English skills so it's a bit weird that these are the two criteria he asks for but as long as you just say you're a girl even in broken English you apparently get the job. I think being a girl is irrelevant because there's no quality they could offer here that a man couldn't do. Op should just hire a good English speaker to fix the poor English and grammar on his site and also maybe to take care of the postings on this forum related to the business because I think it's off putting to people when they see poor English (though I respect op for trying his best but should try look at this from a business perspective).
82  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 27, 2015, 07:16:23 AM
PD has lots of players who come from Russia, while Russia government are executing the Bitcoin banning law recently, and What impact will that banning have on PD. As I know, Luckybit is rejecting America users and will this situation happen on PD to Russia users?

Doubt the Russian users make up much volume. Probably more of a user base I think I saw Edward say in chat.
Just use a vpn and then you can do as you please.
Yeah vpns are the best.

Then the aggressive Russian could probably ban the VPN services too.

Good job banning every vpn service. New ones would just spring up so it's cat and mouse. There's always tor too which they couldn't do anything about so it's futile even attempting to censor people like this but I guess governments will never learn.
83  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting vs dice betting on: March 27, 2015, 07:12:28 AM
Sports is indeed better for entertainment value unless there are no games starting!

There's always a game starting somewhere in the world, especially with football. You can even bet on virtual football with a new game every three minutes on skybet though I don't see the point of it nor do I really trust it to be 'fair' really.
84  Economy / Services / Re: weekly paid job , a girl and full member above is a must on: March 26, 2015, 10:26:24 AM
This is ridiculous. You shouldn't be hiring based on gender but skills relevant to the position. Can they speak good English, do they have good customer service skills, are they active and trusted on the forum etc? Don't just employ anyone who claims to be a woman because they're probably just going to lie to get the job. Gender should be irrelevant so just hire the best person for the job.

any Recommended?

I don't know as I don't know people with customer service experience but there are likely plenty of people with good english and are willing to do it. Change the criteria for the position and see what you get. Maybe choose one of the people who run or have run signature campaigns successfully in the past.
85  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scotland to ban smoking in cars with children on: March 26, 2015, 10:22:20 AM
Whatever happened to liberty and an individuals right to chose?
If people want to smoke, drink, eat doughnuts or whatever it's their choice alone and none of the governments damned business.

Should I be allowed to follow you around and blow smoke in your face for hours? No. Should a parent be allowed to force-feed their children doughnuts 24/7? No. This isn't about the smokers liberty but the children's liberty. They have no choice and are forced to breathe that crap in and second hand smoke can cause cancer. It makes it even worse when they're in a car.
86  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting vs dice betting on: March 26, 2015, 09:47:46 AM
Hello everyone I have been gambling on sports recently and dice too. I personally feel sports are better because there you have use knowledge too and not just luck. While dice is fast and has very small house edge, what you think ?

I don't think they can compare to be honest. I think dice sites get old pretty fast though they're fast moving with quick profit (or loss), whereas sports betting is a bit more exiting especially if you watch the games you're betting on. It's not entirely down to the skill of the teams or athletes and the betters skill/knowledge though as any sport can be unpredictable but that just ads to the excitement though it also adds to the possibility of losing.

To be honest you will lose in the long term with dice that is just how it works. Sports could be more reliable if you have in-depth knowledge about the game.

I think this is the same for all gambling is it not?

88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal President's Bitcoin Fascination on: March 26, 2015, 09:21:32 AM
One of the fundamental parts of paypal is the ease in which a transaction can be reversed if the customer is not pleased. Bitcoin transactions are irreversable. Many websites that currently accept paypal may be cautious about this. So that means Paypal will have to take the heat if something goes wrong in a transaction. Something I don't see happening.

The fiat payments are usually not reversible either but it's paypal's system that is the weak link. Paypal doesn't actually take the money back out of your bank account they just minus the balance from your account and then you owe them the money so they essentially take the heat until you pay back. If they handled bitcoin payments it would probably work in a similar way. Either that or they will just hold the money as some sort of escrow until the transaction has been successfully completed.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not be adopted because it has.. too many decimal places? on: March 26, 2015, 09:11:27 AM
I'm having trouble understanding what you mean.
I mean, you don't go to the store and have them expect you to figure out the price of the product, taxes and exact change by yourself.. you know?
Why would it work any differently with Bitcoin?

If you're doing a friend to friend transaction most wallets tell you the price or you can look up the exchange rate yourself.

For example, what if you were in a Coffee shop, and the cup of coffee costed .000125 BTC

The average person would not want to waste time squinting at the decimal places and figuring up how much it actually is. Of course this is just my assumption that ordinary people would not want to do the math in their head all the time. I am decently intelligent and even I have to stop and think about it sometimes.

It will likely be priced in a fiat value so you will know how much it really costs. All you need to do is scan a QR code and everything will be done for you so it's not like you have to type in all the decimal places yourself. Regardless of that I think it'll just take some getting used to but people will adapt to it over time.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for Bitcoin millionaires to appear in TV documentary on: March 26, 2015, 09:07:38 AM
Next week's headline:
"Bitcoin Millionaire Tied Up and Tortured For His Private Keys After Responding To TV Appearance Offer"

Ha. I'm not sure what OP is up to or whether he's attempting some sort of scam but I doubt this is a legitimate deal.

What is your full name Chris?
What media outlet do you work for?
Is this project privately funded or is it backed by anyone?
Can you provide examples of previous works and projects?

I suggest you give us these details and more if you want any genuine interest. Should be quite easy to prove your legitimacy.

I doubt anyone is dumb enough to admit they have millions in bitcoin, you may get some celebrity wannabes with few satoshis, but with bold claims they have 20k BTC in cold storage

cheers

Exactly what I think. He'll get some timewasters or fantasists looking for attention no doubt. Some people just like to get their face on TV even though I doubt their is no documentary here.

First time I've heard of it but it looks huge. No way I'd wear something that big. I don't really get all the fuss about smart watches either. I haven't wore a watch in about 16 years and my phone can do everything I need it to so I have no need for a watch at all.
92  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beats Headphones Cost $14 to Make on: March 26, 2015, 08:36:46 AM
Personally, I admire Beats by Dr Dre because they have a good piece of business, and also I have thought about how you would go at marketing headphones and I really come up with nothing unless I would be famous or have a person of authority with me when it comes to sound.

They market them by getting famous people to wear them. Firstly Dre will get all his artists to wear them in public and in their videos likely for free (Eminem 50 Cent etc), then they will give them out to other artists for free in the hope they wear them out in public. Then they pay other artists and athletes to wear them and that has a knock on effect as it's seen as cool and the new brand to have and it spirals from there. I remember seeing a video of the Manchester United squad getting off their coach before a game and pretty much every other player had a pair or beats headphones around their neck. Just look at all the pop videos too. From Jessie J to Nicki Minaj they always feature beats headphones or products prominently.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: UK's Plans to Regulate Bitcoin on: March 26, 2015, 08:30:38 AM
They will never be able to stop the underground bitcoin trade. "They" are just upset people are making money without having to pay >25% of all profit to the governments of the world. Taxes are bullshit.

You're right, they won't be able to stop the 'underground' trade just like they can't stop the sale of drugs in the underground which is what happens when you make things illegal or put silly restrictions on them, but just like drugs people don't want bitcoins to be 'underground'. We want to be able to use them freely and as a legitimate currency.

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who holds the coins in a decentralized exchange? on: March 25, 2015, 10:57:13 AM
There will obviously have to be some sort of escrow implemented. What interests me though is how will you get fiat money into these decentralized exchanges? That baffles me. Does any one have any info or ways it can work? I'm very intrigued to how decentralized exchanges or markets will function so I can't wait for them to actually get released. They seem to have been in development for quite some time
96  Economy / Goods / Re: [For resellers only] Apple and Samsung products 70% OFF on: March 25, 2015, 09:49:04 AM
The pictures look almost believable but obviously they're not. If we asked for a video of the products or an up to date time stamp we wouldn't get one. Somebody from default should neg trust this guy.

Its yet another attempted scam with Apple products.

Most recent scams have offered to use escrow because they know if they don't the 'scam police' will be demanding it and also they might get lucky if someone doesn't use it.

This is exactly how they operate. They know people will be skeptical so offer escrow but will do their best to get out of using it or just hope some naive newb will just get greedy and send them the money without using one. Always remember if it looks too good to be true then it probably is, so don't get greedy or you'll pay the price for it.
97  Economy / Marketplace / Re: People lending no collateral? on: March 25, 2015, 09:29:41 AM
Some people just trust that other members will pay back what they borrow.
Personally i have had 2 loan without any collateral and always paid back, just because i dont have anything of real value to loose my rep here is more important to me than a few coins and i don't want to loose it.
Im a man of my word so if another member is nice enough to lent me some BTC when needed i will always do the right thing and pay it back.
With that said if your new and ask for a loan without collateral you will open yourself up to neg rep by other members.

As for what does the lender have to win by lendind without collateral, easy, its called interest, which is often higher without collateral due to the risks involved.

Yes the interest may be higher but when someone fails to pay 0.01 it destroys all your interest from 5 previous loans

That's just the risk they are willing to take. Personally I don't get why people bother lending money as you're going to get scammed at some point if you don't take collateral but for the tiny percent they make in fees it doesn't seem worth it as like you said one bad loan and you lose out big time. I think the best colleteral is probably a bitcointalk account but only lend half of its worth. People then have incentive to return the money but if they don't you've made a decent profit when you sell it on.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: UK's Plans to Regulate Bitcoin on: March 25, 2015, 09:10:44 AM
Not sure how they would do it but I expect every time before you make a withdrawal, you will need to submit a long list of supporting documents that require yourself to declare some statements concerning where the coins are obtained. Also they could make it mandatory for companies dealing in bitcoin to register and comply to certain guidelines. I see good and bad to it.

I'm sure there will be both positives and negatives to regulation, but one thing is for sure there's nothing we can really do about it. Regulation is inevitable but were going to have to play by their rules whether we like it or not. I can opnly hope that they're fair and don't actually cause harm to the bitcoin ecosystem.

if you are willing to sell a sr acc for 0.1btc
contact me. will pay immediately to escrow of your choice, preferably devthedev

He's selling Full Member accounts for more than that so I doubt it. Most Seniors go for around 0.3 at the moment from what I gather. Used to be 0.4 but the market is probably slow or over saturated.
