You would freak, then you would despair, then you would promise yourself to recover what you lost.

I'm in the third phase.  Grin

And I'm not rich but I've got 5000 XCP left.

Overall still a profitable venture ::: Hodl  Grin

more than 50... Sad

It was 6 months ago. I like the help though.

I posted it now because I didn't log in my btctalk account 'til yesterday.

http://blockscan.com/address.aspx?q=1KLgg2eheNcftUgYKeTWvFaDMdGEY3qPDf

Sorry to hear that. If its any consolation you only lost 4 BTC (which is what you burned then)

Proof of burn. 4 BTC was burned.

As far as I know, simple send is already encoded as 40 bytes OP-RETURN, but will only be put into the counter wallet when majority of nodes and mining pools use 0.9.x

hmmphh... I am not too sure but I don't remember seeing an OP_return in the output script of the send transactions
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: October 12, 2014, 09:46:50 AM
One good thing that will come out of this that BTC cartel will realize that XCP is actually enhancing its usability. We will have less of Lucas Jr. types trying to police the transactions.

Actually Eligius (Luke Jr pool) is the first to process OP_RETURN 80 bytes transactions.

Wow, didn't know that. I remember him coming over in this thread several months back and being very aggressive and threatening. That was when I realized the problems of BTC centralization by the cartel.
Counterparty is still in the blacklist of his bitcoind.
Only the format harmful to Bitcoin. Didn't you change to OP_RETURN months ago?

For all of the transactions to work they need 80 bytes. Some way along if I recall correctly, there was an attempt to put certain transactions through with an OP_Return (40 bytes) but that was shelved aside as the transactions were taking longer than usual (possibly due to miners blocking/not processing OP_Return ??)

I am assuming that once the OP_Return (80 bytes) is "mainstream" the shift to using OP_Return will occur

Also, I've not looked at counterpartyd but are zero-confirmation orders something you could show? (maybe dimmed to show they aren't active yet)

I've just added the ability to view pending zero confirmation sends, orders, cancels and issuances (dimmed) when looking at the address transaction page

To test this out either do a test transaction or pull up one of the source/destination addresses at http://blockscan.com/pending.  And then lookup the address transactions at the search box

This is still work in progress though and might need some fine tuning.

Is that already in place?  From what I understand that those changes would take a while to be implemented by Eligus

Actually my purpose is to see order matches that were awaiting bbc pay to see if I want to try and fill one of them. I don't get why so many matches expire but some of them are at low/high prices which makes them interesting.

Most of the expirations are due to the required/provided fee mismatches in addition to incomplete BTCPays
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BlockScan] Counterparty (XCP) Block Explorer on: October 09, 2014, 07:43:01 AM
I've started looking at the order matches screen and have a request. Would it be possible to have that sorted by price or pair then price? Otherwise, seeing more results per page would help with the usability.

Also, I've not looked at counterpartyd but are zero-confirmation orders something you could show? (maybe dimmed to show they aren't active yet)

To sort by price, we have to first sort by pair.  I will look into increasing the page results first.

Are you looking at the order_matches in order to determine if your order has matched? If yes, then the recommended way is to look up your order first and click on the view button. This will show you your order details and related order_matches and btcpays (if any) under  separate tabs

At the moment, the orders need at least 1 confirmation to make it into the counterpartyd. For 0 confirmation orders (and transctions) you can view the mempool table available under http://blockscan.com/pending. It is in RAW json data, but you should still be able to see if your transaction made it in.

The order matches table has a column block_index. (Because of re-matches, the larger tx_index value isn't reliable.)

I have updated both the order_matches and orderinfo(matches) with the block number
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BlockScan] Counterparty (XCP) Block Explorer on: October 04, 2014, 02:59:36 PM
Can you add the field "match_expire_index" from https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterpartyd/blob/master/lib/blocks.py#L318 to table on http://www.blockscan.com/order_match.aspx?

Because it's not easy to figure out when one's order was matched.

Is the match_expire_index used to used to designate the block index when the order was matched?

It's used to designate the block at which an order match will expire.

That was what I thought so too... Having said that, how would suggest that we determine the block that an order matches?

Can this be done by looking at the larger value of either the tx0_index or tx1_index ?

Looks like the forums were updated to use different software than Simple Machines. Looks good so far. https://forums.counterparty.co/

running into some SSL security prompt issues on IE...

Great.  Thanks.

I noticed you added email notifications too.   Wink

I like what you did with CoinMachine.co. Straight forward and clean design. Tried the service and the notifications were prompt and precise

@mtbitcoin

Some folks at Storj are requesting a public way to show the current (last traded) DEX prices.  I think it would be good for other tokens traded on the DEX as well.

Ideally we'd have a public API for this too.

Would you be willing to update this API call:

http://xcp.blockscan.com/api2.aspx?module=price&asset1=BTC&asset2=XCP

to support all tokens.  So this kind of a call would work as well:

http://xcp.blockscan.com/api2.aspx?module=price&asset1=BTC&asset2=LTBCOIN

Thanks.

Ok. Completed as per above. You can now get the both the latest DEX prices for a BTCPAY & NonBTCPay asset pairs.

The code for the NonBTCPay assets pair is still new so it's under testing. Do let me know if you see anything out of place

ex:

http://xcp.blockscan.com/api2.aspx?module=price&asset1=BTC&asset2=SJCX

http://xcp.blockscan.com/api2.aspx?module=price&asset1=SJCX&asset2=XCP
http://xcp.blockscan.com/api2.aspx?module=price&asset1=XCP&asset2=SJCX

this address should show about 126 XCP, but the site is showing 0

1MJcVAJ5D2poJovBvdEZt3PpdcR8YY5vMQ

when I input it into counterwallet.co it shows up with the 126 XCP

The daemon went down so we were backed up a bit. After restarting it we're up to date

You can check the main page to see which are the last block processed, if its not up to date it most likely means the daemon is down

It looks like CoinMarketCap just integrated the Counterparty DEX.  I wonder how they did that.

If you run and have access to the CLI, you can do anything Cheesy

Sure, that makes sense. And the API would be a good fit for that.

I will look into that as soon as I finish up some of the other changes that I have been working on recently
