I don't know how much money is needed to develop EOS but apparently the money raised in first crowdsale is tooooooooooooo much to complete it, and there are still one ICO every 23 hours and it will last one year, this is like a super vampire, most money in the market will be absorbed by this super vampire, what EOS team needs to do is only using a little money from investors to hype the market, EOS guys should go to jail especially BM and lixiaolai,they harmed the whole cryptocurrency market.

Until now EOS only has a rough whitepaper,nothing else, coding is at the very beginning.
What did Ethereum have when pre-sale went live? They had some lines of code but it was still pretty basic ETH was listed on Exchange after Frontier came out, EOS was listed on Exchange just with a whitepaper. |

Sorry, but I do not understand the price problem or the doubts about it .... this ICO is REALLY innovative in the timing and distribution method, the official page is well specified method (5 days fixed price at 0.003259510 ETH / EOS) , In the following windows the price is determined by the market in that way .... "At the end of the 5-day period and at the end of each 23-hour period referred to above, a set number of EOS tokens will be distributed pro rata among all authorized purchasers, based on the total ETH contributed during those periods...." https://eos.io/instructionsThe prices of the various Chinese exchanger (yumbi, bter, others) or USA only reflect this ....... market law (be careful, in this case piloted very little by the exchanger but by the ico timing Windows , if there are more investors in the window the 2000000 eos will be .... etc. etc. The current price of 0.01301981 ETH reflects this trend: number of tokens distributed to an authorized purchaser = a* ( b / c ) a = Total ETH contributed by an authorized purchaser during the period. b = Total number of EOS Tokens available for distribution in the period. c = Total ETH contributed by all authorized purchasers during the period. EOS is definitely a risky investment at this point.
I have confidence in Dan's skills, and to those that are espousing that there is not much information as to exactly how EOS works... there is probably a good reason for that. Ethereum, et al, would love to digest a competitor's roadmap for scaling and possibly implement some of the ideas in their own implementations (if found worthy.) I am sure Dan has a plan, but whether it is the best smart contract scaling plan is yet to be seen. That ads risk alone.
But... let's assume that he has the best plan for scaling smart contracts. As expected, the first ICO window set an astronomical tone for the valuation of EOS tokens. As such, I did not participate in it.

= 0.00325 ETH per EOS token
There will be 1,000,000,000 total EOS at the end of the ICO.
= 3,250,000 ETH Market Cap
= $942,792,500 USD EOS Market Cap
If EOS is eventually successful, then this might seem like a value at this point in the general cryptocurrency market timeline. However, you must keep in mind that practically every cryptocurrency is overvalued at this time and that market capitalizations will retreat back to pre-bubble levels in the nearish-mediumish term.
There is no escaping the overall cryptocurrency bubble, and all cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin included) will feel the consequences of such. EOS is no safe haven, and I expect to buy EOS in future rounds at a discount compared to the prices that are currently being paid.

Do not worry. I have the same issue as yours. Just backup your fundraiser wallet and check your balance tomorrow, and you should be fine. If you use ETH to participate, you will see your balance immediately. Cool, are you able to check your record in https://check.tezos.com with ETH participation. |

Hi folks,
Sorry I've been busy and didn't get a chance to answer. Right now we're focused on improving our testnet and finalizing the details for the crowdsale. We don't have a date yet, unfortunately, we're waiting on the creation of the Tezos foundation which will be responsible for conducting the sale. We should know the date in a couple weeks, please be patient.
Regarding our goals, we want to be a dynamic smart-contract platform. Our two main goals are:
- high assurance smart-contracts with formal verification
- a ledger that stays up to date thanks to a governance procedure that allows upgrading on the fly, without hard-forks
It's become very popular to talk about interoperability between blockchains. We're definitely interested in building a Bitcoin SPV client inside Tezos so that smart contracts can react to events on the Bitcoin blockchain. However, ultimately, we don't see interoperability as a critical feature. The economics of blockchains strongly favor concentration onto one ledger, not a collection of domain specific ledgers. As I sometimes say, half serious, half tongue-in-cheek, we are Tezos maximalists.
The same goes with appcoins. We support appcoin issuance on the Tezos blockchain but, for important features, the preferred mechanism won't be to create a new coin (which can dilute the value of the native token) bur rather propose a protocol upgrade tied to a reward. We think this is a way to grow that is more conductive to strengthening the value of the token.
Ethereum congestion is really bad these days due to ICO, will Tezos have the same issue?What is your solution? |

The total supply of Elastic is 100 Million XEL and 100% of the supply will be distributed to donation contributors. 710 BTC is too little for this project, developers should have another one, or it's NOT fair for developers, if developers stop to do development, price will drop to Zero. |

The QRL will be a cryptocurrency ledger which is designed from the outset to be resistant to both classical and quantum computing attack. It uses a different system of cryptography to bitcoin (and all other altcoins) known as hash-based digital signatures which are quantum-resistant. The ledger will be the first to experiment with quantum-resistant signatures whilst providing an ultra secure backup store of value in the event of a sudden advance in quantum computing (rendering bitcoin, ethereum etc vulnerable to attack). The initial aim of the chain is to offer a low volume of ultra secure transactions in the first iteration with guaranteed longevity. Proposed technical details can be found in the white paper on the website at the bottom of the post. The project is small at present and at an early stage being lead by myself with two post-doc phd's in an advisory role. We are seeking a website designer and a C++ programmer to complement the team with a view to a launch in the coming months.
