I swear XC gets some of the most imaginative fud. The people who come up with the stuff should ditch crypto and start writing the next big fantasy novel for young adults. They'd make a killing.

I agree with what you just wrote, but we should always look for opportunities to improve. We need to create an environment where people are both excited about the future and hesitant to sell off their coins.
Having the price tank like this in between revisions doesn't make for healthy growth imo.
From a long-term perspective, the price did not tank. What happened was a speculation bubble formed leading up to the REV2 release date. This bubble significantly inflated the price above the upwards trend line. When the expectations of the speculators concerning REV2 were not adequately met, the speculation bubble popped and the price has fallen back down to the upwards trend line. XC is up 1.69% in the last 30 days. How many other coins can say that? Everything is fine. Let's get our expectations under control. Speculation bubbles fueled by short-term profit-seeking day traders does not make for healthy growth. This kind of slow and steady growth and resiliency is what we need. One big holder could have tanked the price hard today below 100k very easily, yet no one has wanted to thus far. Why? Because it's only the speculators leaving. And when they're gone we resume our steady upwards trend. Lesson to be learned if you bought in the bubble: don't buy in a speculation bubble! I don't think the price adequately reflects the value added between last month and now. I just want to avoid having this turning into a regular occurrence upon future releases. I understand the artificiality of spec bubbles but I wasn't anticipating this hard of a fall. I'm in no way disheartened, mind you, but I do feel like we can find ways to make the growth less....erratic? |

The price is declining, yet I feel soooooo confident.... I only want to buy more!
I am not gonna ask about jasinlee, the PESA coin, or anything else, but Im glad I found another cheap coin to hopefully enhance my portfolio.
Every single post of synechist is a gem, really, I enjoy everything, the FUD-countering, the article correcting, every single thing. Good job!
Plz teka fix the new content button in our forum, its really hard to use without it!
XC at this price feels SO good, because its not off putting for the medium-trader to invest in and feel like he got some nice stack, maybe not the thousands or tens of thousands some hold here, but its still nice to own hundreds of some hot prospect.
In other topics you can CLEARLY see that people might not (yet) prefer XC, but they consider it the real deal, not P&D or just scam and respect the team behind it. So do at least 3-4 major twitter personas I follow.
I LOVE the fact that we DONT have a whitepaper yet--- shows confidence of dev team to their work, and its just ANOTHER fact that differentiates us from any other p&d coin, scam or not! I know I might sound like a fanboy to some1 neutral, but the fact remains; had I found anything as much promising as XC, or more, in a cheaper price, I would have sold all my stack in a heartbeat and invest. But the truth is there just isn't anything other worth more right now, in any possible aspect.

I dont think you guys understand why people are dumping and to be honest it blows my mind. It's simple, its nothing to do with the quality of the product, its how the messages are delivered and sometimes, the content.
Mistake 1, the late Rev 2 release, huge mega dump.
Mistake 2, promises new road map during the weekend, proceeds to make almost THE SAME mistake by revealing the new road map late on Sunday.
Mistake 3, road map is pretty much the same thing as the first one, just presented differently. Lets be serious, that is what took a few days to wait for and also with no ETA?
In the meantime no one seems to acknowledge the fact that there are other coins around that people can make short term money from while XC is floundering. People are able to make serious money in the crypto market but cannot do that if their money is tied in XC, and that is why they dump.
Its not a whale dumping, its people that want to make money and dont want to wait months.
This is little to do with Cloak or Dark
Please for goodness sakes have some sort of Focus Group to test how people will receive your announcements, it really is bad the way they're been delivered. Also, when you say 'weekend release' you better make sure you release that news on a Saturday and not late on a Sunday.
Finally someone making sense here ...I will add a few things more but I will keep my mouth closed for now. Why the silence? |

Man, whoever called out the mystery whale was dead on. Really strange activity the last few hours.
Same stuff that's been happening when we were hovering between 120-150k a few weeks ago.
Kind of pisses me off tbh lol, using the stability of the coin to his own ends.

Arlyn, thanks for the communication. Took a look this morning and saw that Bittrex was now 3rd overall in volume, and one of their top coins has a problem with a missing dev. People are confused about the communication with XC? At least we have people around to communicate with. Just keep doing what you are doing Arlyn. Many supporters here who appreciate your time and effort.
Thank you sir! I'll keep on communicating. And the clarity of information on XC will only improve. My goal is to have the necessary information highly visible from all our platforms - and to have it all continually updated without some info getting out of date. It must be so frustrating having to deal with all the trolls that have insecurity issues because they got burned by having other pump and dump coins dev constantly disappearing on them. They are just not used to XC with the professional team that actually have an official PR person. Keep up the good work! Heh. Yeah, it'll take a while before the crypto world realises we're not the usual transient cryptotrash. Until then, we'll need to continually affirm, support, and reaffirm people of where XC's at and what XC is. It's a trust thing, and honestly people's low level of trust about cryptocurrencies is realistic, given the past. But the community here is awesome, and it's growing. I can't wait to see how things will be in a month. I feel you man. I think the matter of perspective can fuel frustration on each side also. I mean, you see all the great thing going on behind the scenes and that things are really starting to come together. You guys are also busting your butts and putting in long hours, so when you see posts from people constantly asking for updates or yet another confused investor, I can see how it might grate your nerves a bit. It can make them seem a bit whiny, ungrateful, etc. From the investors' side--- They're in it for the long haul. Most of the coins are off the exchanges and in their wallets. They have quite a bit invested because they see the potential. As someone mentioned earlier, some may have been burned by other coins in the past. When it's quiet on the update front for a few days (because you're working, have lives, etc.) they can start to get a bit antsy. Especially when they're essentially told to trust or gtfo (not saying you've done this personally). There's just that point where trust/anticipation and proof/delivery need to meet. Once you find that sweet spot you have happy campers all around. |

Noob question.
Can someone let me know how to update the wallet from a previous version. I just installed 2.45 and it's synched but I don't see my balance or previous transactions.
I was using 0.9.1.50 before the update. I have my wallet.dat backed up too.
Did you copy the wallet to the XCurrency directory in the %appdata% folder? It used to be in X11coin directory which has now changed to XCurrency. That did it. I was misreading what was in the readme file. Thanks guys. |

So according to the roadmap, EM is part of Rev 2.5, but Rev 2 is still in development? I'm a bit confused.

So much inverse fud. The last pump was coordinated. The current price is a bit inflated. Crypto is a near-sighted endeavor. Why leave dead money for weeks when you can double up on a much cheaper coin in a day or so?
Or to lose your BTC on another shitcoin. Look at those P&Ds, when you see it pumpin, its already too late. People have lost money in XC. You can lose money in any coin buying at the top of a downward trend. Every coin is a P&D assuming you have the capital to be able to manipulate the price. I've doubled up on coins that were well into a pump. I wonder sometimes if some of you really believe the things you post. The longer threads on this forum seem less like civilized discourse and more like idol worship. People are long on this coin. We'd rather accumulate and hold than risk losing btc in some p&d. Buying at the top of some weekly downtrend means nothing when you're in it for the long-term. I'm guessing you're one of the people from the Misc who lost money on XC during that dump in early June? Not hating, just curious. The OP of that thread made a ton of money buying in early on Darkcoin and thought XC would follow the same trend. It didn't. You're basically in uncharted territory when it comes to the success of a particular cryptocurrency. People like to point to the rise of BTC, LTC, or DRK and look for patterns in an attempt to predict an altcoin's future, but this is a mistake imo. The landscape changes significantly and way too frequently. Anon is all the rage right now, in a few months some other feature will be. All you can do is try to predict what direction crypto will go, or you can chance your money on the short-term, highly volatile coins. |

XC will be the next altcoin to step out of the "forum arena" soon and that is when the real bull market beginns and its gonna be a fast one. If you are into some other quick buck pump with your xc money at that time good luck getting back in. i understand people taking the risk to get some more xc. me personally i no longer have the nerves cause i think we are to close now to the break out moment.
altcoin insiders are very cautios at the moment thats why the slitest delay in an announcement, a broken link or whatever bullshit can cause people to get out at this point in time. while discouriging at times this is mostly a good thing cause it gives us more time to buy cheap and it functions as a seperation mechanism. only the quality products with a dedicated team like XC will make it to the next level of perception. And that is where the big money is made.
Right now i only see XC to reach that next level thats why i don't even care if we are at 0,003 or back to 0,0015 or probably 0,005 soon. thats all dead cheap considering my expectations for this technology.
+1. The difference between XC and the "forum arena" coins is so blatantly obvious. And we have what is arguably the best community I've seen from any alt. I mean, you see "to da moonz" cheerleading in every coin's thread but It's all just seems so "small potatoes" to me. The people here are really trying to make things happen. I've been invested since week two of this project and will continue to hold indefinitely. This week was just a minor bump in the road imo. You don't develop and introduce revolutionary, world-changing technology without some ups and downs. As long as this project's vision remains clear, we should all continue to do our part. |

Actually, I think this is a pretty good idea, this should be embedded in the main page, probably playing in auto when one visits the main site. Just imo +1 But I'd refrain from using autoplay. Most people would rather opt-in to information. It'd be perfect it was displayed in a way that directed the page viewer's attention toward it though. The video concisely summarizes all the main features benefits of XC. It's a must watch for any interested party. |
