The situation on Trex is getting a little silly.

Could you pls give us some kind of reassurance Hondo that development is carrying on as planned?

Yes Hondo Please let us Know
Thank you.

DATE                     BUY/SELL                     BID/ASK                 XST UNITS                COST (BTC)

It's hard to believe somebody really sold out 200k at that price!
This is the name of the game! They do that all the time thinking that they are "cutting losses". However there is always somebody buying Cheesy
The one that does not panic and has patience, always wins. I've seen it before, I see it now, I'll see it in the future.

That got eaten up shortly after, accumulation phase people! There will be very few of these opportunities.

XST is a great opportunity right now with recent events huge improvements are coming in the roadmap - 5k is seriously cheap for what is set to be the #1 anoncoin.

XST community we've all decided it's over - let it rest now continuing this serves no purpose.

The thread is now open and everyone is welcome. Back to business as usual!

Good to have bct back - we have an awesome community who bands together in times of need. Looking forward to XST's bright future.

LongandShort - In the grand scheme of things are you happy with the way things have turned out thus far? Here's what I learned from the chain of events:

XST didn't credit the necessary developers and your astute observation allowed our developers to correct this oversight and we learned it wasn't a malicious attempt at defrauding a community merely an oversight. Hondo has shown his moral character on multiple occasions even prior to this and I'm glad it was demonstrated yet again.

Chandran Signatures - you correctly pointed out there is a double spend issue and Hondo responded accordingly. Community is sufficiently happy.

Now, If you were a reasonable human being who possessed moral character your response would have been along the lines of "Hondo, let's agree to disagree on this one I don't think you will be able to implement Chandran Signatures because of XYZ, however, best of luck to you, you're clearly not trying to defraud your community you're just trying something very ambitious".

Unfortunately, this did not happen and your 200+ posts made your initial concern look like trolling, which then turned into an orchestrated plan to try and destroy the reputation of XST. Bravo! it was very well planned and you did bring the price down, however I'm still unclear as to why you went to the trouble as I see zero movement in SDC. I have an inclining you've invested a lot of money into SDC and perhaps are the largest coin holder.

This current thread exists because of your actions - our thread is locked because very little information could be found amongst all the noise and FUD. But don't worry everyone in the community is in contact via our chat system and we've got some great plans for XST.

Finally a half decent response to all of this my concern still is hondos response was still citing a paper form 2006 and it still wont work..it is concurrent with the last issue of traceability he hasn't done his research properly yet when he does he will agree its not going to work!

My razorcoin reference was to frame the level of competence or lack of if you will that he has with things i later demonstrated with his whitepaper..oversight. It was a concern not only for you, me or the xst community.

Letting it go un talked about was an industry wide concern i wish to not to be abused and not attacked anymore so we can have a proper discussion about it and get it fixed for not only the sake of xst community and its investors but the image of this alt coin space and anon in general..

Treating people the way the majority of the xst crowd have has left a lot to be desired in this space and i wish only to remain here because of it! As i said it could have been handled in a much different way and has been done by many other communities in the past. xst not only has a dev level competency issue but also a community one which needs to be addressed. I wish to help with that by remaining here to demonstrate the contrast and hopefully bring about change!

I am not attacking hondos intentions so much because i have shown the proof but have nothing else to substantiate him to be a "scammer" but it certainly looks like it and the community reaction does not help its or his cause. Can you agree and level with any of that he does have a pretty good history seems like a really nice guy but all scammers are charming i just wish to hammer the facts?

I know they mean well and so do i but this is not the way you treat people it has not only become technical issue it is now personal can you level with that and or understand any of it? If so id like maybe if you could talk some sense into some of your members because i want nothing more then to put an end to all this and move on but cant as long as i'm being attacked and anyone else and their coin! My whole motives ads statements here are mischaracterized can you agree? so can we all put this to sleep its serving no one or nothing except allowing some to vent.

Do you see zero issue with a 200+ post count on the same topic even when a response has been made, and the community accepts it? It destroyed your credibility for wanting intellectual discourse as it's repetitive nature disrupted a stream of important information that new/current investors needed. People lost money as a result of your actions and your friend Pookie (Shadow Cash advocate) even wrote in a post that he enjoyed watching people lose their money. I see no way how you can derive pleasure from seeing people suffer.

Additionally, You're still being accusatory with zero factual substance "all scammers are charming" "but it certainly looks like it" this reeks of your actual agenda in what would otherwise have been a nice and balanced paragraph.

You've upset a lot of people including your own community, now moving forward let Hondo cite any paper he wants it's now up to him to deliver. You mentioned "letting it go untalked about was industry wide concern" well this is no longer a concern as it has now been published for all to see in cryptosphere so, let the public decide. The case is now closed.

We're adults we invest what we can afford to lose and I'm in this because anonymity is basic human right that XST champions. Good luck with your investments and leave the xst community to it's own devices.

SDC is in a very sorry state of affairs.

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The full truth behind ShadowCash/Coin trolls and their attacks on other coins. on: October 11, 2014, 07:16:21 PM
I think this whole thing has backfired on SDC's orchestrated FUD - The copyright etiquette and Chandran double spend concern were warranted questions that were addressed thoughtfully by XST developers no malice or deceit took place whatsoever. Once Longandshort exceeded 200+ posts the credibility of the initial grievance fell like a house of cards and the FUD agenda became clear as day.

Chandran Signatures will be implemented and once open Bazaar is online we will see a healthy if not dramatic price increase. The developers and long standing community memebers have learned a lot from this, no coin deserves malicious FUD - cryptographic technology/anon coins are working towards our right to privacy and hindering that makes you as bad as a corrupt government.

So thank you SDC you've made the XST community better.

I think the altcoin scene needs a fact checker service - I think there is market demand for an independent authority. Like the article suggests many coins (with merit) simply get knocked down due to professional FUD.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/stealthcoin-price-plummets-amid-overt-community-chaos/

Cryptoasian is on the right track - but I think if a panel of respected developers were in charge of this it could work. Here's an example: When an unwarranted FUD attack takes place on a thread/twitter/etc, the developers from the top coins/cryptographic community are called upon to address the community under attack - via a google public hangout/live youtube stream/reddit ama

It may resemble something like this format wise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0KV0lesSK8&list=UUR9gdpWisRwnk_k23GsHfcA)

They address the FUD and vote if it's warranted or not. It's not a perfect system/example but it's just an idea floating in my head. Help me refine it if you can.

I'm interested to hear what people think.

I would definitely say it's a step it the right direction. I didn't watch it in it's entirety. It's long & I have a headache. But yes... Skype, faces, people can't delete what they disagree with.

It's funny, Shadow has now opened their thread... probably to save face. I'm sure anything particularly threatening will vanish in a matter of time. They are playing a game & they're good at it.
Earlier this morning the Dev called out to put a stop to the FUDing & I thanked him for it. Guess what? He deleted both posts hours later (both mine & his own).
They are trying to pretending to be transparent now.
It appears they are letting criticism be posted for the moment, but they are cherrypicking older criticism one by one... as it's less noticeable. By morning I'm sure it'll all be gone.

Also, I noticed the FUD attack started as soon as Bobsurplus went on vacation; this was timed perfectly on their part as they probably assumed he would put up huge buy walls.

Thanks for the feedback the video was just to demonstrate how the format would look the video content isn't relevant  - Also, check your browser history you might just be able to pull up a snap shot of the dev asking for his community to stop the FUD.

From the SDC thread

Dear Community,

I would like everyone apart from the Shadow community to stop trolling, fudding or attacking XST or other coins. If your opinions are true or not does not matter in this regard. Crypto as a whole one gets hurt by fud, and it has no use at all but to drive the price down and scare off new investors. Please be the wise guy and don't get involved with childish discussions that lead nowhere at all.

Opinions are just that, opinions and every free person in this world has the right to their own. Whether he is involved in another project, coin or organisation does not matter as these opinions are his own.

Here's the criteria you need to follow in order to have a justified complaint when using "report to moderator". The text box they provide insinuates they want a brief explanation yet they ask for a detailed one. Now, if you feel the 200+ posts are unwarranted please make your voice heard.

The questions raised have been answered astutely by Hondo. The case is now closed. Time will be the determining factor.

Good luck to all members of every Cryptocoin out there - I hope you never have to deal with this level of trolling it buries and obscures important information. It's an utter disservice to Cryptocurrencies.

After receiving a lot of PMs about this subject, seeing a lot of reports of this kind and after one of the global mods PMed me with suggestions regarding this topic, I thought that I should cover it:

Possible (or real, not for me to judge) FUD, accusations or statements are not moderated.

Moderators don't moderate for truth. However, trolling isn't allowed. If a user is habitually posting obviously false nonsense just to stir up trouble, then it's considered trolling, which is prohibited. However, such cases should be thoroughly documented in the report (There are tons of reports that just say "trolling", but moderators don't have time to look through each user's post).

Possible (since we don't have the time or resources to check) insults are also allowed as long as they contain any kind of constructive opinion, info or something else substantial and aren't off-topic. For example, posting something like "you are dumb" will be deleted as it contains no meaningful content. However, if the post is somehwere along the lines of "You are dumb. This is wrong because this website/thread/etc. has explained it's not right", it's in most cases accepted.

Possible scams aren't moderated either due to the fact that's it's extremely hard to make an unbiased decision on a limited amount of evidence and time. Moderators don't have time to be investigators.

Legal note: This is forum policy, not mine.

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText, World's first anonymous SMS Tx! on: October 10, 2014, 09:28:09 AM
Before addressing the criticisms raised in this thread, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for these criticisms. Although some believe the manner in which they have been introduced may not be optimal to promote civil discourse, they are valuable criticisms nevertheless, and help to strengthen crypto-currencies in general. It is far better to address weaknesses in crypto systems during implementation than it is to address attacks after deployment.

Chandran signatures [1] make use of a common reference string. The common reference string generator (CRSGen) is a necessity for a model in that does not require a random oracle, as described in [1]. CRSGen produces a string that is used as an input to a key generation function. The key generation function produces the the user's public-private key pair. This key pair has specific properties in that it is a member of a particular mathematical group. In principle, key generation can be replaced by a cryptographic one-way function if the random oracle assumption is introduced.

Admittedly a more difficult issue to address is one of "unlinkability/untraceability", which boils down to the potential for a double spend. In short, Chandran signatures require the generation of a secret random parameter, g, that serves as an input to a "commitment" to a specific key in the key ring. This commitment basically identifies the public key from which the money is spent. The problem is that any number of g can be produced, creating the potential for any number of commitments to the specific public key.

In reality, this same issue exists with CryptoNote ring signatures except that the CryptoNote system incorporates a key image, I, into signing and verification, such that I can only ever be used once. A similar approach can be taken with Chandran signatures. As presented in [1], a key image I can be incorporated into Step 3 of signing and appended to the final signature. In addition to other parameters, Step 3 commits to the public keys of a subset of the ring. Just as with CryptoNote ring signatures, such a modification would commit to the key image and prevent its use for double-spends.
