81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: October 12, 2017, 05:22:10 PM
Yes quitting gambling isn't easy, I've also tried quitting gambling a few times but I'm back in it every time after a few days or sometimes a few weeks, but the temptation of winning takes me back to gambling. Also in a corner of my mind I am thinking that am I addicted to gambling as recently the amount of time for which I gamble is continuously increasing and gambling is also taking its toll on my life somehow as I am now able to give my family less time as I think it's good to gamble in that time, but I will try to change this.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: October 11, 2017, 05:51:25 PM
Bitcoin has its shortcomings and vulnerabilities. One of them is a long transaction time. If in the near future this defect is not resolved, it is possible that some other more successful coin will take a leadership position instead of bitcoin. Everything develops and improves, and the best become the leader.
These problems can be resolved pretty quickly and affectively by implementing some changes in the bitcoin core software. But most of the time there are 2 kinds of people, ones who are in favor and one are against, so in this case a fork is done and whichever chain gets more hash power wins the battle, so if bitcoin by any chance loses this battle then it will be replaced by an altcoin. So in that case I think bitcoin will lose most of its value but not come to zero.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price prediction at the time of hard fork. on: October 11, 2017, 03:20:29 PM
With Altcoins gaining ground once again, it is becoming difficult for Bitcoin to break through. What are your thoughts on the same?
Bitcoin gold is in hype so to get bitcoin gold you have to hold bitcoins in your wallet, so this means free coins for just holding bitcoin in your wallet, so people are selling whatever alts they have to get bitcoin. And once the hardfork has been done then the people will still the coins they get and then get back to the alts which they were holding. This will lead to the decrease in price of bitcoin to where it was in the start of the pump.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoins taxable? on: October 09, 2017, 10:07:14 AM
Bitcoin in its own state is not taxable as if you were having 1 bitcoin in this year the same in next year then there is no tax applied to it, but suppose you sell those coin for capital gains then yes it is taxable, but for this trade also there is another route in which you don't have to pay taxes on capital gains, all you have to do is skip the exchange and do the trade in person for cash and there will not be any official record of that transaction taking place so you don't have to pay any tax on this but it will become your black money and you would have to find a way to make it legitimate on your own.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: October 09, 2017, 09:17:10 AM
It depends on the amount of bitcoins that I have won, if they are at about 1 million dollar mark or more then I would go to a few of my dream countries and most likely live outside my home country. And then with the rest of the money I'll buy a house and live a glamorous life in it, but the chances of winning a jackpot in gambling are very less and require a great amount of luck to win. Also with the left over money I'll start my own business with I'm thinking about from past couple of years and if it gets successful then I'll increase my fortune by many folds in coming years.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: October 09, 2017, 08:44:45 AM
The worst mistake I did in gambling was chasing losses, I deposited 1 btc to a new dice site and lost half of it in the first hour because of betting high and I knew that I should have stopped after that but I tried to chase my losses and then lost all that I had. Instead of I would have been in my right minds than I should have called it a day and then would have come back the next day to gain more bitcoins but chasing the losses is the worst mistake that I did in gambling and I know deep down that I'd emotions would not have taken control of me than I would have made a rational decision and not have gambler more that day.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you tell if you are suffering from gambling addiction? on: October 09, 2017, 08:27:08 AM
I just want to ask how would you know if a person is suffering from gambling addiction. Can you guys tell me the signs of it?
Signs that I had back then when I thought I also had a gambling addiction were, you think about gambling all the day, the moment you have done money you think of doubling it by gambling, your performance at your job starts to decline because you can't ficus there also, due to which I have been kicked out of a few jobs too. Also after losing in casino you come home and start searching about the hacks of that game or how to cheat in it and never get caught, so if you are suffering from any of these signs than u think that you should consult someone to have you checked up.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: October 09, 2017, 08:10:30 AM
Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.
it's not a sin to gamble, but the people with old thinking say that gambling is bad and one should stay away from it if he want to be a good person.

its not a sin but not a good habit either.

Back when you are younger, elder people may say that we should stay away from gambling, which is a nice advice considering that one may get addicted to it and never be able to get out from it.
I also know that very well but it does depend on the person that is he having self control of not, if that person is having a style control then he would not get addicted to gambling and will live happily but if he doesn't have self discipline and control then he become addicted which is pretty bad and then the person would change, he would try to do any thing to get him some cash so that he could gamble and earn some.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: October 09, 2017, 06:27:48 AM
I decide that it's right time to sell by watching the graph, if the graph and anyone can see that it be is experienced enough, the graph goes to a high and then go down a little bit and then again go to that high again, this indicates the resistance and if enough funds get invested in it then the graph goes up, but it is rare that the investors will follow the increasing bitcoin price and the bitcoin price falls due to lack of investors investing in it, in the end it all depends on your ability to read the graphs, if you are able to do so then you can do pretty well in trading without any doubt.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how improve trading on: October 09, 2017, 04:59:32 AM
I am new here bt don't understad how improve trading. I am already loss many altcoin. Now I am improve my trading.give some tips about this
You should not join trading if you don't know anything about it, it's never good to loose money before learning trading. You should first have some good level of knowledge before starting trading, you can check various courses on youtube, Udemy, Lynda and when you have fair amount of knowledge and confidence then you should join trading. Although the things I stated are also not quiet enough for trading effectively, you will have to consult a few professionals and also have to read a lot of books too.
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to get to $5,000 before end of this week! on: October 09, 2017, 04:43:02 AM
I have seeing a very strong buying signal across most of the exchangers platforms and I think $5000 is already at hand.  Currently bitcoin's price is at $4607 and if we get another serious push again we may break the resistance at$4950 area. I have also See MACD and relatively strength index showing a very strong bullish momentum.
Absolutely correct! Bitcoin price seems to be increasing slowly and by the end of the week it can easily break the $5000 mark. It's been so long and I've been eagerly waiting to see the bitcoin price to go back to $5000 and finally it's only a matter of days to see that price again. Now the price of bitcoin is $4.6k and is having a strong support so will wait for just 2 days to see the $5k mark and then if we are lucky then we would be able to see more than that as in the previous rally bitcoin reached a high of $5.15k so this time i am assuming  that it will go higher.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: October 09, 2017, 03:17:09 AM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
Personally I think that cryptocurrencies and fiat are made for each other, no one can replace the other. They have the best use when both of them are available, I think cryptocurrencies more as internet money and I think it should be like that, the illiterate people cannot understand what is crypto and how does it work, they don't know how to use a mobile, so how would they use cryptocurrencies, paper money is for all, government also think first about illiterate also that how would they be able to transact.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: What limits the market cap of bitcoin? on: October 08, 2017, 04:42:43 PM
There is no limit on market cap of bitcoin, the more the investors invest in bitcoins, the more market cap it have. But it increases our decreases due to market manipulation and increases due to a news favouring bitcoin. And considering that the combined market cap of all the cryptocurrencies is equivalent to $150bn and most of the world don't know Much about bitcoins and crypto, so there is huge amount of potential in crypto that is right now untapped and one it goes mainstream then there works be an exponential growth and market cap will reach a $1 trillion mark.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: October 08, 2017, 03:31:45 PM
It's been a long time since I've first heard about bitcoins and I currently am not even able to tell how I got to know about bitcoins, as far as I can remember I came to know about bitcoins from a friend or maybe from a news article from. from a local daily newspaper. And in start I just read a few news articles about bitcoin and didn't give it much of thinking and then the bitcoin price started increasing and then it came into limelight when the largest exchange got hacked and stopped its services which took its toll on bitcoin and bitcoin price fell.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is better than Cash. on: October 08, 2017, 01:42:03 PM
Yes bitcoin is better that cash, because compare to bitcoin in the banks the interest rates are low, with bitcoin it is increasing every year. And very much safer in terms of robbery, and if you travel you don't need to change your money from time to time. Since bitcoin is digital currency just pay your bills online it is very much safer, because you will not disclose your bank details.
You also have no need to declare that how much bitcoins you have with yourself in the customs department, so it is quiet handy for a shopper who travels abroad for cheap electronics or other items. Also that most of the people are shifting from real stores to e-commerce websites so there also online currency become handy and the most important feature of crypto is borderless transfer of value as it takes quiet someone for international transfer but in bitcoin it happens instantaneously so I prefer bitcoin more just because of it's advantages over cash.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: October 08, 2017, 01:13:40 PM
You can get bitcoin by buying bitcoins on a trusted site. Or you can sell altcoin with dollars, you can get altcoin by following some projects in bounty room.
The topic here is how to earn bitcoins without investment, so I don't think that buying bitcoins count as a way to get bitcoins without investment.
There are many ways to earn bitcoins without any investment, all you have to do is devote your time and hardwork and you will surely be awarded. The most common way to get started earning bitcoins is by doing capcha work but the reward per capcha is pretty less and the same applies to faucets so you should consider freelancing as your best option to start earning bitcoins without any investment.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: October 08, 2017, 12:57:56 PM
It is said that bitcoin will destroy the fiat system but i believe that if this happens the world will change completly because banks and a lot of things will go out of market.
I also believe that bitcoin will be used in 2022 by everyone but the other part of statement is not correct, as banks can not go out of market, they are the most important tier of the economy of a country. The banks are the issuer of loans to the people of a country and they help the economy to grow they create money without actually increasing the money supply by the money of depositors, so they have a very important role in the market and will be present for a long long time.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin on: October 08, 2017, 11:42:14 AM
"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.
Wow! It's good to hear that Japan is taking bitcoin seriously and also supporting it at the same time, it's government is not like the others who are against bitcoin and are looking for ways to tax it. And it's the same in my country, it's so hard to live when you don't know that the income source is traceable or not and also the government also is taking so much time in declaring the status of bitcoin, at least they should tell the people about their thoughts or maybe give them an ETA on the day of announcing the decision.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin cash or Bitcoin gold? on: October 08, 2017, 11:23:29 AM
I think backing bitcoin cash will make much more sense, but if you are in it for profit basis then backing bitcoin gold will make much more sense as bitcoin cash have already got attention for being more profitable than bitcoins quiet a few times die to which bitcoin price have also fallen too. But bitcoin gold is a new fork of bitcoin and right now it is quiet difficult to judge that whether it would be a good investment or just another shit coin, if the latter than I would be very disappointed as I have arranged a few sources from which I have made a deal for getting bitcoin gold.
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bought my first BTC @ $4600, slightly worried on: October 08, 2017, 04:04:53 AM
Relax buddy it will be just a little bit of time for bitcoin to reach back at this price, just be patient till then, and if you want to sell your coins then after breaking even you can do so.

Edit: Bitcoin has now crossed the $4600 mark so now you have break even and it's up to you to decide that either you want to sell your coins or save them as investment and I am sure if you take the second option then you are not gonna regret in the future as bitcoin will be double or triple the price in the coming years, so just forget that you have invested in bitcoins and come back after a decade and you will surely be surprised.
