God I love Zerohedge. The only problem is, I've been waiting for the global economy to collapse for so long, that I'm now convinced that the day I lose interest in ZH, the world will actually collapse. "Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent" Keynes Can't believe I quoted Keynes.

Nice work, with this BitSwift can communicate across different blockchains. As usual, dev on top of things and BitSwift is one of the first Blocknet coins to integrate this into it's wallet.

I guess I should make my stance clear
NO to: DASH
YES to: Digital Cash
Oh god no!! That's waaaay 1980's Be it or not Dash, make it snappy. "How many Digital Cashes for a Guinness?" "That'll be .001 Digital Cashes" I agree, digital cashes sounds extremely clunky. Besides, the whole point is not to only redefine the brand for coinstuff, it needs a little vagueness so that it can include other features that Dash can show off. it's clunky but guy in the street knows what cash is so it's an easy leap for him to get what Dash is from there Ok, I see where you are going with it but it's important to point out that it will be more than just about digital cash. What else? We don't know at the moment, but that's why the brand can't be overly specific with its name because then you couldn't easily offer more separate services that operate within the brand. For example, say a digital descentralized loaning service came out and it is policed by the Master Nodes. If you call it Digital Cash then branding that specific service becomes a chore. What would you call it? It would be difficult to go with Digital Cash Loans but it would be really easy to do Dash Loans.

Thanks to everyone that +1'd my logo.
Here's a bit of an improvement, including what I think would be a good slogan.
Here. I actually took a few minutes to clean it up and do it in Illustrator rather than my quickie earlier version. I'm enjoying this one. Good work.

Hi, We are pleased to present the 3D design for the series S01-nnn WBB. This will be the first series of the limited edition Silver Collectors coins from WBB. Each coin is handmade and will carry its own serial number and a certificate. S01-nnn series will contain a total of 100 coins which are carefully handcrafted. During the production proccess we will release images to show the various stages of the coin as it is crafted. We hope you like the first series of the WBB Silver Collector Coins and be sure to register once the Auction within the wallet is activated. During the pre-registration time you can specify which coins you would like to bid on, you can only bid on two coins out of 99, so all get a fair chance to get hold of the coin. To be part of the Auction you will need Wallet V3.0.0 Only WBB will be accepted as form of payment. CC Card, BTC or any other crypto currency will not be accepted as payment. Shipment for the coins will be from Switzerland by recorded/registered parcel. Your WBB Dev That looks pretty nice, love the concept of the auction with only your coins. I have to admit, I wasnt 100% convinced on the name, like others were saying...I thought it was ok but we could do better. But afte messing about last night, its started to grow on me. Done in PS for quickness (no vector goodness) Morse code of the left, D -.. A .- S ... H .... I had a few others, but this was prob my fav. This is really really damn close to what I was imagining, thank you so much. I believe we should keep open minds and not chain our selves to the "D"... hehe .. Also, number one on this list is relevant! I really like the concept of Morse code too, just remember, re-branding is a process. If and when we do proceed with a new name. In the short term we would have to go with the "D" logo and colors, if people go to coinmarketcap all of a sudden and see a different logo, colors and name, they will be mislead into thinking is something completely different. We need to continue with the current "D" or a very close spin-off, for a prudent period of time. And then after 6 months or something when we are already known by our new name, we can think of changing more if it is necessary. I don't know man, I've seen big companies rebrand and what they do is completely do the changes and then do very diligent, deliberate and massive publicity so that everybody knows that there is a change taking place. It serves a couple of purposes, one is you don't exhaust people with constant brand changes; two, you educate everybody about the change; three, you get NEW people interested because the publicity was orchestrated in such a way to appeal to new consumers and businesses.

Xposting from DCT:
I have one last thing to say, the main argument I have heard against Dash is that it is a bland name. I think the people that feel this way are completely missing the point. We should with go with DASH precisely because it is a bland name, so we can build a strong brand out of it. Name != Brand
The problem with Darkcoin as a name is precisely that it is too explicit the name suggests a meaning and detracts from the brand, when the project adds other aspects to it that are not the ones explicitly described by the name. Take important examples in crypto: Circle and Square. They can be developed into great brands in crypto because the names do not suggest any meaning so in the crypto context Circle and Square just acquire the ideals associated with those companies. I am sure if Evan came up with the name Triangle people would be going crazy.
Another good example is Apple, some people might say, but Apple is a huge company, again missing the point. When Apple was back at the garage and Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs decided to call their new company like the fruit, apple was not yet Apple. Meaning the ideals, you have learn to associate with that brand, great design, user friendliness, good quality, were not present back at the garage, it was just a "bland" name. This property of blandness allowed it to develop into a brand.
Also, the "blandness" of the name, I really see it as flexibility of the brand and it is very important. You have to be capable of abstract thinking and projecting yourself into the future, back when Steve Jobs named Apple, apple, he was only thinking about computers not iPods, iPhones or iPads. Fortunately, their brand is flexible enough. Back when Evan named Darkcoin, darkcoin, he was not thinking about InstantX, scalability or decentralized applications and services that is why we need to change, we need something more flexible as we don't know what will come later.
Same thing applies to Dash, if Circle and Square work, Dash can work too, and if we work very hard, one day people will associate, privacy, freedom, transparency, great technology, decentralization with our brand. Brands take time and hard work to develop, so instead of fighting about a perfectly good name, we should think of ways we can project ideals that reflect the true essence of our project into our new brand. Dash will be great, in time.
Have to say, you really sold me on the idea. I get it now.

If you are going to rebrand you don't keep the old logo, you go for a full change, I think people should get mentally prepared for not seeing the D anymore.
On the market side of things, seems I managed to get some drk for around 102 last night so thanks for that as I'm already in proffit. Rational and Cool minds will prevail.

Here's the link man https://drk.mn/masternodes.htmlAt the bottom after it populates it shows the amount of MN, showing clearly it is 2312 actives right now. Whatever the tally it would be sensible to expect a few masternode cashouts. There are people who bought in because of the name and there will be people who cash out because of it. Yeah, it's logical to expect it, but wpalczynski keeps pointing to a figure which is far from accurate. Almost 300 mn difference. Just correcting him.

DASH Masternode numbers dropping, down to 2059 already. Looks like coinage moving to markets.
DarkcoinBot> kaene: 2059 active masternodes (source:drkmn|12s) @ 0.01047851 DRK/BTC (source:cryptsy|24s) = 21575.25 BTC / 6256823.11 USD in stake (source:btc-e|5m35s)
BS. Still over 2300, Try harder, but you now lost all credibility. Link? Check the bot on #darkcoin on freenode. Down to 2051 now. 7:08 PM <+DarkcoinBot> wpalczynski: 2051 active masternodes (source:drkmn|35s) @ 0.01036195 DRK/BTC (source:cryptsy|44s) = 21252.36 BTC / 6163162.99 USD in stake (source:btc-e|5m55s) Here's the link man https://drk.mn/masternodes.htmlAt the bottom after it populates it shows the amount of MN, showing clearly it is 2312 actives right now.

http://178.254.18.153/~pub/masternode_count.pngHere 2320. Thats a static image that someone posted on the internet. And dropping as we speak... DarkcoinBot> wpalczynski: 2052 active masternodes (source:drkmn|20s) @ 0.01023371 DRK/BTC (source:cryptsy|30s) = 20999.57 BTC / 6089876.15 USD in stake (source:btc-e|5m42s) Yeah...I'm looking at drk.mn/masternodes.html and it clearly shows a different number. Total Masternodes: 2319 = 2319 actives + 0 inactives [2059 unique IPs] (Last refresh: Tue Mar 10 2015 5:58:24 PM) Estimated daily payout for an active node (blocks with MN payments last 24h: 99.25%): 0.22 DRK/day (Last Refreshed: Tue Mar 10 2015 5:58:12 PM)

I'm all up for discussion Adam White, but it seems clear you have a trolling agenda so I won't engage.

Those who dumped because of a name change were going to dump sooner rather than later. Good riddance to short sighted individuals and good luck to them finding another project that can do even half the amount of work that this one has done over the past year. I personally welcome a rebranding, that said, I do hope for a little more openness during the process.

Just an FYI, dev is highly approachable over at theblocknet.slack.com ; best place to communicate with him IMO. Also, nice price action going on today. Swift starting the week nicely.
