81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anybody net short bitcoin? on: July 26, 2014, 06:35:25 AM
I think bitcoin will go to below $200.

I don't think so. Maybe 200-250 USD, and it will be the new 2 USD.

Services associated with the coin is what I like Smiley

Well that developer has a clear plan and she knows what she wants.
Indeed, the trees - this is a very profitable investment. I'm already thinking to become an investor because I like long-term investments. In addition, I will help to preserve our nature. Will follow the development of the project. Good luck, Dev!

Ecology is always fashionable, but there is nothing wrong with that Smiley

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ASUS Z77 Deluxe + 4 x R9 280x + Linux (Mint 17) on: July 19, 2014, 10:15:06 AM
I have a strange problem with this combo. On 3 cards in PCI-E 16x slots everything are working well. When I'm trying to add 4th card to any PCI-E 1x slot, problems begin. System randomly start up. In first case, everything (sgminer too) is no problem without manual reboot. In second case, I have a black screen with white "_" and system freezes. On compatibility mode problem doesn't occur. Lspci | grep VGA show four cards in any case. In BIOS PCI-E Mode is changed to Gen 2.

Oh, and I'm using powered USB 3.0 Riser PCI-E 1x -> 16x.

My mining rig:

Core i5 3470 (for CPU mining)
Asus Z77 Deluxe
4 x Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280X
2 x Corsair CX750M with Add2PSU

I have to solve this problem, because mining rig will be remotely controlled from a distance and I would like to be able to reboot Sad

And the difficulty has increased significantly Smiley

I add the second 2560 DCN for windows wallet at launch Smiley

0.1 BTC is delusional... but 0.01 BTC - why not? Smiley
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCN] Deepcoin secure hashing (CPU/GPU) 100% PoW on: July 12, 2014, 07:27:38 AM
It looks quite low, with my underclocked r9 280x (core:1000, memory: 1500) I have 5.05 MH/s. But it was lots of experiments.

I corrected my result - 5.35 Mhash on R9 280X Vapor-X (core: 1080, memory: 1500) Smiley But 290s are still slow Sad
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCN] Deepcoin secure hashing (CPU/GPU) 100% PoW on: July 06, 2014, 03:42:20 AM
So looking at name of this coin, I mentioned a popular Bitcoin pool from 2011, deepbit.net and the golden era of mining BTC on GPUs. My HD 5850 was digging about 0.2-0.4 BTC daily from June to September-October Smiley Maybe Deepcoin's name is not accidental? Wink
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCN] Deepcoin secure hashing (CPU/GPU) on: July 03, 2014, 10:41:26 PM
Probably yes, but versatility is what I like the most. Especially when you have cheap or free electricity Wink
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCN] Deepcoin secure hashing (CPU/GPU) on: July 03, 2014, 10:30:24 PM
Oh, but I think that 7950 has the best profitability. About 170-200W power consumption, 2.5x better performance and in comparison to 750Ti more versatile for other algorithms Smiley
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCN] Deepcoin secure hashing (CPU/GPU) on: July 03, 2014, 10:02:46 PM
-g 1 is not optimal, 200-300 Khash lower than -g 2 Sad TC/xintensity is set to auto...

What hash rates you have on other cards? I'm curious if hardware comparision for qubit algorithm exists.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCN] Deepcoin secure hashing (CPU/GPU) on: July 03, 2014, 09:42:35 PM
My R9 280X Vapor-X + 3 x R9 290 Tri-X, which are running on Mint 13 have a low hash rate compared to R9 280X Vapor-X on Windows. Catalysts (14.6 beta) and frequencies on R9 280X (1080/1550) are the same Sad

Mint 13:

R9 280X Vapor-X - 4.5 Mhash with -I 19 and -g 2
R9 290 Tri-X @ 1000/1250 - 5.2-5.3 Mhash with -I 20 and -g 2

Windows:

R9 280X Vapor-X - 5.05 Mhash with -I 19 and -g 2

Sgminer 5.0 has this issue. But earlier version are working properly on pool Smiley

This is a coin made by guy from Feathercoin team Shocked But I think it requires some work on advertising currency Smiley
