Scrypt.cc is a ponzi, that's the just of it. Cloudmining.com is too, they can just do math slightly better than Scrypt.cc. There are reasons for everything, no one will be willing to pay you back for what they mine, that would be lost profit for them.

I wouldn't suggest overclocking the 3-5th batches of S5 machines. There have been many, many complaints about the thermal paste application and horrible screws on the newer batches. If you are getting 1-1.1 Th/s then it it's not worth it to overclock.

just buy 1 antminers s5 then it's 1155 giga, i don't know how much you payed, but it should cost less for you
your chance at solo mining is still very slim, with almost 1 tera you have 1/400.000 of chance to hit the block
How much its coasts ...? And what about power consumption from where i an buy ..s5 Dont waste your money by buying costly hardware. Unless you can play in the petahash level, maintenance & electricty cost will eat up all. Better try cloud mining. You can pre-calculate your ROI time from cloud mining calculator (e.g. www.cloudmining.website/calculator.php) and invest accordingly. Errr. No, that's not how cloud mining works. The company mining ALWAYS make a profit or they don't mine at all. Most are ponzi schemes too. Don't be a shill mate.

Read the stickies. Mods will come under fire if they delete a thread that some people think/want to be real. There are reasons, damn it, just read!

Well, it's hard once a person enters the world of of altcoin to choose a favourite. Not only that, but your favourite altcoin will be criticized by everybody who's favourite coin is different, anyway, I like ethereum, though I gave up on it when my old CPU burnt out on my linux computer.

Cgminer and BFGminer don't do the quark algo... They don't do any other algorithms... CGMiner 3.7.2 has scrypt compatability though. Ethereum is profitable with a 750Ti, I mine with two 980 and two 290x GPUs. (On different rigs, nVidia doesn't go with AMD in the same system)

Heh, I guess I could divert two of my S5s and an S7 to solo mining. Okay, I'm in! Two of three S5s and one of two S7s are going to solo mining on the start of the Day Of The Dead for a week flat! Lets hope this gets more advertisement and more miners join this escapade!

^^^ Any coin with the SHA-256 algorithm... You gotta google before posting a stupid thread like this. It's simple typing my friend, gosh.

I don't get it, just buy a standard raspberry pi from your local computer store for, (at my computer store) ten bucks. Who even pays for torrents anyway? Why would you want to tip people for their uploading? I guess it's an incentive to seed a file, not that I know what that is or anything but really as we are now, we don't need a $400 raspberry pi with a block erupter strapped to it.

i found ANN LGBTQoin thread but not came from this forum and still no exchange yet for this coin
Yep, I know that there is no exchange, and I have some to spare so I want to get them out to people willing to trust their mBTC in a new coin.

Ethereum is confusing, try take a shot in the dark with an altcoin other than that, for instance LGBTQoin or BURST. Any newly released altcoin will have at least a CPU/GPU minimum difficulty so take a look on the Announcements (Altcoin) section.

Okay, lets start, your rpcport is wrong, it's most usually "8332" also, make sure that you are putting your rpcuser and rpcpassword in the respective "-u and -p" variables.

I moved my fans from my miner after I water cooled it. I can hide it in my dorm and let it mine quietly and my room-mates have absolutely no idea it's been hiding there! Trying to sound proof it with the fans connected is an admirable task.

You have to factor your area in the UK's cost per kW in dollars. ($/KW) The Antminer's speed, the S3 is quite outdated, the S5s and S7s are much better and more recent options at a higher price. ($400 and $1843 respectively) Also, don't forget about the difficulty factors and *finally* the pool fees. I only got a negative profit rate when I typed the $/KW factor in wrong. Review the information that you put into the profit calculator. I suggest that you check out this calculator, it has played itself out in my experience very effectively. http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator

Faucets aren't worth it. They bring practically no income in and waste your internet data, power and time you could be using making much more income flipping burgers under a bridge and selling em to hobos for used tin cans. Okay, enough with the jokes, faucets give you tiny amounts of satoshi when you could be getting bills doing something else, like (I see you partake in one) a signature campaign or some other form of advertising, this gives slightly more BTC (or altcoin if you request to be paid in such.) Faucets are just a waste of time you could use to be more productive.

Nope, nope, nope. Bytecoin is... Just let me say that I wouldn't touch bytecoin's dirty coverings if they were giving it away free. Many other members share this point. Spend that 25k on S7s and make yourself some serious profit away from this whole altcoin shadiness and the trading business that you seem to be trying to work with.

No, it's much too slow compared to all other released hardware. You CAN mine altcoins with it pretty nicely though! You might want to put it up on the marketplace and some altcoin miner will want to pick it up, especially if it's under stock price and in good condition. (Goods Marketplace: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0) Ethereum is taking off and someone might want to steal it off your hands, but mining bitcoin with it is a big no.
