i think that i will sell my bitcoins only when their price will go to 900$ but price probably won't be that large next week so i will sell it later only We may see that price at the end of the year but not possible to touch before that and I will only sell my coins when it will touch $1k till then I will prefer to hold. I thought the price could be $1000 in 2016. But after the hack on Bitfinex, I think $1000 could be in next year. it would be good to be $1000 for 1 BTC but i dont think it would touch 1000...it may touch 800-900 max.... There is no way the bitcoin price will touch $1000 next months. I even doubt it will be around that level by the end of the year. |

yes, you are right, yesterday when I saw the price at $516 and I found that t is because of bitfinex hack, then I thought that it will once again rise sooner and so I bought some bitcoins at that price, I was a little worried about my investment also but today when I visited to price i saw that the price is now at$536, that is a very good news for me and I earn a profit even in a bad situation for the bitcoin market

I think there is nothing wrong with the bitcoin itself, just one exchange, so the price will rise again. yes that is a fact and now the price of bitcoin is raising again, the bad news about the bitfinex really effect the whole market and the prices felldown too much but now the people understand the reality and now they start buying bitcoin again , and hope that the price of bitcoin is going to reach to its previous position very soon. It was a big amount that was stolen but the overall market is still stable, we have witness a lot of crisis that happens before but here we are, bitcoins is still improving and there is a good future ahead of us, so hold tight fellow investor and strengthen our faith in bitcoin to experience a good future with our profit. I don't know what to think of this "Ethereum Classic" beside that I don't like it. I'm kinda loyalist, and will stick to Ethereum which is backed by a world-renowned team while Ethereum Classic is made by random people on the Internet  ... The problem is not the panic selling and the huge dump. The problem is there is no more buying happening anymore before the hack on Bitfinex occurred. I said before that I expected this to be under $600 and stay there until the end of the year. But I expected it to go under $600 around the end of August. So I guess we might see this go up above $600 for a while due to speculations but then go back down and stay there. Many of you will be discouraged by this and that will cause further dumping.

The $1000 could be reached in a year. The $10,000 could be reached in 3 to 10 years without any problem. I agree with your one point that it is might be possible, bitcoin would be come at $1000, but the next point it is difficult to reach the bitcoin into $10000 within 3 year, i can predict it but it would be possible that within 10 years bitcoin will come into $10,000. We are thinking very far mate, we should just predict that the price will reach to $1,000 this year, otherwise if we cannot have that this year the probability of reaching the price of bitcoin to $10,000 by 2026 is very low, just recently when the price is going down so it really affects our prediction as we are all thinking our upward direction only. Yeah and don't expect too high from bitcoin as it is really struggling since long time even to touch the price of $1k so I think $10k will at least take 12 to 15 years from now. That is right. You are right, this panic is not real, that is just one exchange and it will not affect the majority of users as we also have a lot of reputable big exchanges. You do realize that the "replay theft" (where did you get the 7.5m figure?) was a combination of the hasty hardfork and the ineptitude of some exchanges and/or users? Is ETH going to roll that back too? Because that's what you seem to be suggesting. ETC doesn't care, but ETH the crime-fighting network does, so they fork again now?
plus the ETH fork did not report the thief , did nothing to find him/she, didnt investigate who was it. and i guess on the ETH forked chain all evidence of the theft is gone. According to ETC proponents, 1) there was no "thief" 2) there was no "theft" because "code is law" and now the hacker is the rightful owner of his (ETC) tokens. So there is no reason to investigate according to ETC folks (hacker might be one of them).  BTW: Have those ETH bastards even magically erased all that evidence of non theft from the pre fork chain? BTW2: You cannot have your cake and eat it... So there is no problem for the person who "hack" the DAO tokens to sue the Ethereum Foundation? |

Bitfinex said other coins were safe, yes.
But im not sure its the same hack... as he talked about the stolen ETC 2 days BEFORE the bitfinex hack.
We have not seen any proof yet, that im aware of.

The DAO hack has most of the coins locked for 28 more days i think.
Only the coins from Child 59 are out if im not wrong.
Even though the other altcoins are safe, the Bitfinex might use the unhacked coins to pay for the hack cost. Yeah it'll be socialized and that includes eth It is better to take your coins out of the exchanges after the trading. That is much safer option. |

Yeah we already got a very high price for bitcoin. And I don't see it happening it just to 10.000 in 9 years. My idea about the price of bitcoin is that it is limited. At max i see the price some day would reach 5000 dollar. From there a period of stability will come, just like we have in traditional currencies. $10000 is just 16 times of the current bitcoin price. If the price of bitcoin double every year, it will just take 4 years. The chance that the price will double in just one years is minimal. The chance of that happening 4 times in a row is near impossible. The bitcoin price has risen over 200% in the last 12 months. When more people use it, the price will rise a lot. The price is good before halving and after that we could never see an improvement in the price, just was stable for long term which could drop or rise heavily, if no big drops occur it can be $ 3000 by 2026. I agree with most part of the above comments. But I think the $3000 price could be reached in 3 to 5 years. |
