81  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: April 15, 2013, 06:13:42 PM
My batch 2 order is currently showing up as canceled.  It was in Pending previously.  I'm OCD checking my email so often my F5 key is going to break.  @Avalon:  This is not a complaint.  I trust you guys to fix it, you guys are doing great.  Cheesy
I'd contact Yifu via email immediately + raise a ticket.
82  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Did Avalon ship their asics today? on: April 15, 2013, 03:44:52 PM
Avalon has already shipped many of their first batch (300 units). Today is the supposed date for the second batch (600 units) to start shipping but there hasn't been an update to customers yet.

Great news. May I ask if you ordered on February 2 or February 3? Also, when you say "store account" do you mean here?

http://store.avalon-asics.com/

I'm just trying to get a sense of whether they're going in order and adding those early orders one at a time. I know I submitted a support ticket for my 2/3 order(which has not been added yet), but it was a forever ago.
Ordered 3rd February and by store account I mean http://store.avalon-asics.com/

What number(ish) was your ticket?
#190

Seems cogs are turning in the Avalon 'machine', my support ticket to get my orders added to my store account (they were missing, but I'd received WalletBit/Yifu email confirmation), was just handled and they've been added.

I reckon we might have a delay so they can fix the FPGA issue.

Getting excited now! Hopefully we'll get a newsletter soon!

I'm wondering whether batch #2 shipping will start on time given there's been no notification to trade-in customers to send their FPGAs and batch #1 shipments are still being finished off.

Has anyone in the UK received an Avalon yet?
I've got 2x Batch #2 orders, so I'll let you know in a month or so

Quite disappointed to hear that Batch 2 is being delayed Sad
91  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Batch #1 Ships on: March 14, 2013, 08:43:22 PM
They don't get it upon shipping because they ship from China-->Hong Kong
And suddenly at the chinese border:

92  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Batch #2 Physical Dimensions on: March 14, 2013, 08:40:46 PM
I'm guessing it'll be the same as batch 1 if you can find that anywhere:

Quote from: Batch 2 sales page
If time permits, Avalon Unit in batch #2 will have 6 module slots, this is not guaranteed.
93  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: March 14, 2013, 02:10:45 PM
What are the "-32" firmware builds?
Maybe win-32? Ie windows builds?
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #1) on: March 14, 2013, 10:14:54 AM
@goxed
Thanks! I would like to post some pictures. Did you know any pictures hosting service which accepted BTC?
Just use imgur?
95  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: March 12, 2013, 08:41:57 PM
Is there a config file somewhere?  I am tempted to edit /etc/init.d/cgminer
That's probably (I don't have my Avalons yet) what starts cgminer and seeing some other people post command lines, you should just be able to slap the usual API enabling / configuring arguments on there.

As a batch 2 buyer, my concerns lie with:

Quote from: Avalon's most recent email
A week before batch #2 is ready to ship, we will make an announcement to those who wish to trade-in their last generation units to sent in their units
Given there's been no announcement, I can only presume we're still over a week from the beginning of batch 2 shipping Sad

Where did you see units hitting the US?

*Obligatory "if this is real"*

how are you going to ahip them to your place when each weighs 17kg = 35-37 lbs.

I was originally planning to fly over, but bringing a device back in the hold of an airplane is just a bad idea. If I go, I'll drive with a friend.

If we do end up getting some more information about local pick up, I'll be going with a friend. Definitely not on my own.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PrimeAsic - 80 Ghash/sec Asic Miner on: March 07, 2013, 07:42:13 PM
I'm interested to see if anyone gets a response if they select local pickup...

Looks like they're making a run for it, all their sites appear to be down.
