81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your gambling system? on: August 30, 2019, 08:32:25 AM
- All in after five or six consecutive losses
- Standard martingale after five or six consecutive losses, with 10% of your total balance
This is one strategy or 2?

I don't quite understand how it work. Could you explain it a little more clearly?

He's basically doubling his bets after every loss. And the will go for broke once he's had 6 rolls of bad luck lol. It works for some people but almost not for everyone in the long run. This system worked for me for a short while though when you get drawn deeper into betting, losing everything will be really quick.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 30, 2019, 08:14:33 AM
Can you name that website?

Usually if you want assurance that you are treated well while playing on a casino, you should play only to the reputable ones.

Some can be new and still be great. Remember, every business starts one day. Just look for Crypto gaming site that has provably fair games and play with. You can test their customer support to see how proactive they are. Those should be the deciding factors.
Most gambling sites allows us to check the fairness of bets so we no need to worry about the results are manipulated in the crypto gambling which is rarely occur on casino games. And also we can't simply decide the fairness from their active customer support which might be delayed on occasions without any reasons related to the games as well,so check the reputation before depositing your money.

Manipulations rarely occur? I beg to disagree with you there dude. It's common knowledge that these sites can easily weave the results to whatever suits them. Its business. You just have to learn how to play along so you don't end up on the losing end of these riggings. Also, support is one of the most important aspects to consider when you look for a gambling site. It's money that we're talking about here and you wouldn't want to grasp at straws when you can't withdraw your earnings or something happens to your capital.

Because my father told me that there was a news where in PRRD said that Ph don't stand a chance against Italy. I wasn't able to watch that news but, I'm so disappointed that he said that.  Undecided He really is brutally honest. But I know Gilas will find that statement motivating rather than disheartening.

The president is just trying to be realistic, getting x13 for PH to win is such a big betting odds, and that means their chance of winning is very slim, actually close to non, that's why he said PH stands no chance so people would not expect for PH to win. Even in the side of gamblers, that odds is not that attractive if you are not being bias, I know you are rooting for the PH but suggest if you want to bet, just bet for fun.

Right. And why be disappointed in something that's so obvious? Just because you're the president of a certain country, you're required to root for your team? We'll he's probably rooting for the ph team but he's just stating something that almost every basketball fan knows. Italy is ahead in terms of experience, built, talent and system. If i'm a safe gambler and i'd make bets between these two, i'd have the same say as the ph president.

I also don't know about his talent, I mean he got some decent post moves but he has not really develop even a mid-range J which I think is very important for centers now.

I was talking about Dwight developing his mid-range jumpers a few days ago and then I saw this video of him shooting from range https://www.facebook.com/LakersNationPhilippines16/videos/679616389116787/

It's nice to see him add more to his arsenal. It'll be more difficult to guard him if he can do it consistently.

Good to see that, but the guy that is guarding him is not his size, it's gonna be difficult for him if the person who will guard him is a 7 footer like him.
But I have to appreciate that as it's an improvement, he has range now but let's see if he can apply that in the regular season. What he needs to improve and focus is his FT shooting as he can be foul easily if he drives inside since he is strong, I'm hoping to see a video of his FT shooting share here.

You won't get a 7 footer guard him that far out most of the time. The guy does have really good potential to be a dominating player back in his magic days. And i've seen the video of him practicing jumpers. You'd have to appreciate the effort there. Though he's likely not going to be one of the top options for the lakers, the guy has talent. A good coach and a good system may very well maximize him joining the lakers and bron.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: August 29, 2019, 08:16:44 AM
Usually, in any game, staying long on profit can turn south for you or profit you but most times people regret it when you stay longer. Yes, cashing out early can also be painful when at the end, you thought you would have made more profit staying but I tell you with experience, cashing out early is better because you have another chance for another cash out and more of it  Grin
Have anyone profited out of dice in the short or long term. I have been trying the best and lost all, I can't leave it. Once after I loss I have gone beyond my ability. Finally as the wallet got emptied, I bought bitcoin particularly for betting and lost even the amount earned from my day job. I used to experience win, but at the end it is a loss. I miss the right time to stop and leave. Cry Cry Cry

This is exactly an episode of addiction crippling in. If you can't control your betting limit, it simply means you are beginning to be an addict. Addicts have that in common, either to try and get back their loss or simply that they are helpless and depressed in the game. Is a game and suppose to be seen as fun, play for fun once in a while and you can have fun and money together. Good luck.

There are times that it's not addiction, though. But there's something drawing you in to make more bets especially if you're on a streak. That happens quite a lot to me when i know for myself that i need to stop, but i can't seem to, and continue making bets. I'm not addicted at all,  i don't think about dice or gambling. It's just that if i'm already in that situation, it's not that easy to walk away.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 29, 2019, 08:12:24 AM
I won but I can count it on my fingers. There are more losses than winnings for me. But everytime I win and make it to the minimum payout, I just transfer it to my wallet and reinvest it to btc or eth. All my profits, I've managed to save them up for good and wait for the major pump to gain another profits. But recently, I luckily won just enough. So i cashed out the half to buy my personal things to reward myself and then save the other half.
I really respect the fact that you're able to control your buzz but gambling is a game of chance not an investment which is the reason why you loose more than you win. However, I will advise you to plan an exit game strategy in case reach the minimum payout.

Having a good sets of plans where you can stick on it and allow yourself to follow whatever the situations brings you, there's always a good chance if you have relatively system that can work with the sway of the mod while playing, if happens that you are lucky and can win something then quitting and enjoy will be a better option, it's part of a plan that will gives you great outcome while you are enjoying your game.

Sometimes, even if you have a good set of plans, winning or losing can take away your focus. A good winning streak can take away your mindset and can draw you more into gambling excessively. I usually feel invincible and lucky when i win so i tend to be careless and a little greedy. More often than not, it didn't end up well. Plans get thrown out the window when you begin to be a little arrogant.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 20, 2019, 03:12:31 PM
I don't think anyone started out gambling with crypto. All of us in a way fitst placed bets with real  money one way or another. But if given a choice now, i'd still probably opt to waste my fiat. I was playing dice with crypto back when I was just starting to know about bitcoin. And looking back, i could've just held on to those and enjoyed the rising value. I've probably spent around .3 or .4 btc with dice back then.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 20, 2019, 12:40:56 PM
But McGee is very effective right? He was once the laughing stock of NBA and Shaqtin' A Fool. But he improved a lot with the Lakers that's why they didn't let him go.
I think he learned a lot when he was playing with the GSW, he already won the championship and that already increase his confidence.

He should mature and contribute and give his 100% if he wanted to be successful and have that first ring with Lebron and Davis around, as time is not on his side.
That's all he needs to do, and I think Lebron is a better teammate than Kobe because based on his history, he won championship with stars on his side, good example was when he played at the miami heat, he teamed up with Wade and Bosh, and they did have a great chemistry.

Lebron is only known for kicking out coaches, but loves his teammates.

Even when he was the butt of jokes during his tenure in the shaqtin a fool, mcgee has shown brilliance every now and then. They just highlighted his blunders that's all but he's pretty much getting the job done. Probably just needs to be in the right system like in kerr's. I don't think dwight's going to recover his old self though. Doesn't matter how good a teammate Lebron is. Just like with kobe, attitude would probably get him clashing with his teammates.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 20, 2019, 12:33:54 PM
I can agree on that, Americans have by far the longest bench, and that could really make the difference when for other nations 2nd teams are on the floor, that is opportunity i see for Americans to win this. But we also saw that players like Jokic can play crazy minutes, like he did in last NBA playoffs.

But considering in previous years i would be 100% certain that Americans are getting gold and winning every game with 20-30 pts difference, this time i am not so sure, i think that Serbia is legitimate contender for world title, if they stay healthy and they don't loose anyone else beside Teodosic.

And who knows, maybe even Greece can upset Americans again, none thought that was possible the last time Smiley

As far as I am concerned, I give the United States a 90% probability of winning this edition of the world cup. Apart from them, I would give the maximum chances to Serbia and then Spain. I don't think that Greece will be able to make it to the semi-finals on 13th September. Greece has some star players, but as seen from yesterday's match, as a team Serbia plays better. And I heard that a second Greek player has received injury after Kostas Sloukas. Giannis Athinaiou received a knee injury during yesterday's match, and may miss some of the world cup matches.

Only thing that is good for USA team is that they only can concern for players that dont want to play as for mostly Europe national teams they have problems with injuries.

I agree that Serbia at the moment poses the biggest threat to the us in winning the gold. Though there's still a slim chance that the us will be unseated. Even if the caliber of stars have declined compared to the previous world cups and olympics, the us still have the most talented lineup down to the last man on the bench. And the opposition during the the time when argentina is at it's peak, along with spain and france, isn't the same as today. That's already considering jocic, teodocic, gasol, rubio etc.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beauty Contest Gambling on: August 20, 2019, 12:20:58 PM
Anyone here tried to gamble in some Beauty Contest? Just like Miss Universe.
How was your experience in gambling with this kind of tournament, like the risk or greed?

Also, when you are betting in such beauty contests, how we can select the winner like the basis on it especially when the pageant is not yet started.
And what other possibilities games to bet in one beauty contest? Just like in basketball, there are A.) first half highest point, B.) Over and under overall total scores, C.) Odd/even total scores, etc.

Well you can basically gamble on anything that produces results. And i don't think gambling in beauty contests aren't common at all. From international pageants like miss universe to local competition, people are putting out money in it. And the competitors are also being ranked weeks or months before the actual competition so you shouldn't have any problem narrowing down your selection if you'll place money on your bets. Usually the top contestants end up as the finalists.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 20, 2019, 12:16:22 PM
I believe that being a professional gambler isn’t a thing people intended to be,it’s just happen that the found the skill and luck always turns to them that’s why they use it as a career
As in any sport, there are those who live off the prize pool. And that allows them to live comfortably. For others, this is a hobby that is designed to provide pastimes.
The others are the majority of gamblers, some of us are ambitious but we still fall and realize in the end that we cannot make a living in gambling, that's why it's better to convince ourselves that we should do it for fun, with this, we can avoid losing more money that we will use to experiment.

I know people who are successful in gambling inspires us, and we believe because it's possible for them, we can also do it, but it's just sad that we don't have the skills that they do, and no matter we tried, as long as this is not for us, we will not be productive on it.

If others can do it, why not us? Just kidding. I think those who've had success in gambling have the knack for it right from the start. Some people are simply made to do a certain thing. Gambling doesn't need actual education and training. Experience can be a big boost to one's chances but a lot of experienced gamblers just aren't getting that far as well. Professional gamblers mostly make money from sponsors. There are only a few who are skilled, or let's say lucky enough to actually make a lot of money from consistently winning.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 12, 2019, 07:52:30 AM
-snip-
No matter how great you are with each of your game.

But once the player started to show that kind of problem, you'll end your career. The management shall keep if there's no problem within him.
Problem with adjustment needs to be solve if he's still chasing his spot inside, showing that he can be a role player and not to ask special treatment just because he was then a big star from this league, Melo wanted to ends up his career playing and showcasing his talents so giving him another shot or space from any teams can make that happen.
He don't want to end up his career that way. He just wants to step up on what he used to have before.

He can't accept that the time has changed and he's not getting any younger anymore.

Of course any basketball players doesn't want to end their career in a bad note. However, Melo is sliding on that path as days go along. I don't know who is his agent, but pretty sure that he is doing his best to at least see Melo Anthony dance again in NBA even as second stringers, 5-10 minutes per game.

Melo is a star so we can expect that he has a good agent and we can expect that the problem is not the agent but he himself, his market now is really low in the NBA and he should live with with current value now.

Teams won't get any good contribution from Melo if he only has to play 5 to 10 minutes, and he is no attraction anymore since he has not led his team to win a championship.

The guy takes a lot of shots that's why he's a good scorer. You can't expect any team now to allow that anymore since he certainly won't be the focal point in offense for any team that will be willing to gamble on him. He might as well get a contract to play in china or the euroleagues. His is a sad story of talent being wasted because of ego.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on a dog fight? on: August 08, 2019, 11:34:21 AM
I don't want to be on a dog fight or the other animals. It is better to bet on the other things. I feel that I don't have a human sense if I do that, but we have a different opinion, and maybe the other people will do that. There are a lot of things that we can use to gamble, and I am sure that things will give fun things for us.

Sadly, it's a part of some country's culture. The good thing is that more and more people are now standing up and speaking up to this kinf of gambling. I wouldn't bet a single penny in support of such barbaric acts but not all people think alike. In modern society, im sure people will have the same sentiment. But these dogfight bets usually happen underground under the noses of the authorities.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What messenger do you use to chat with your crypto gambling buddies? on: August 08, 2019, 11:10:12 AM
I don't usually have gambling buddies. Chats and trashtalks happen on the gambling site itself with other gamblers in the room. Are then even a lot of people that are having group chats outside the site's chatbox? I don't know anyone who does even with friends that are frequent online gamblers.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling turn an atheist to theist and superstitious? on: August 08, 2019, 10:56:55 AM
We all know gambling is random. We like to call it as "luck" as it sounds cute but it's like "choice of odds" in mathematics.

I'm an atheist and when I started to play, I had a fun experience despite of what I won or lose because I bet small amounts. Then I got addicted because of some big wins so I started to gamble much.

Even if I wanted to think that maybe my winning and losing isn't getting impacted by anything external, I believed otherwise. I believed my winning is the result of the color of the shirt and wearing, music I'm listening to, time of the day etc. Then when I lost big, I prayed to God to help me win/recover. I saw gambling as life and winning is heaven and losing is punishment from God.

Then slowly I stopped and the addiction got away a bit.

What's your opinion, do you believe in God/power that you think may help you win? I think gambling has the potential to turn an atheist into theist because of fear/risk it has. Smiley
It doesn't seem very logical and rational. Why he would do that? If he wants you to earn big money, he just need to send you a big amount of money in your bank account or in your bitcoin wallet. No need for him to help you cheating casino games LOL   Cheesy  Tongue But maybe you are seeing that as tipping for your prayers?

Maybe HE sends the luck to him so he can win that games. Maybe we can say that because HE wants to see what will he do with the money if he wins the game. With winning the game, HE wants to test him, but many of us become greedy when we can win the game, and we want bigger money, so we continue to play. But I don't think that he will believe GOD if he can win in many times
God has nothing to do with gambling. Why would he want gamblers to win where in fact gambling is considered as a sin. He surely do not want to encourage more people  to gamble and end up losing. So i don't believe that gambling can turn an atheist into a theist because God is definitely against it. If ever you win in gambling, that's pure luck and strategies you applied in gambling.

That is just for an example, but you are right. GOD doesn't like human make a sin, but that will up to the human. Atheist or not, humans make their own decision about playing gambling and like what you say, that will be luck and strategies that will help human to win the game. But if somehow, we cannot win, then we can consider that the luck is not beside us.

Lol. Atheists are atheists because they don't believe in anything unnatural. If it can't be proven by actual evidence, it's not true. What makes you think anything can make an atheist believe in god? Skeptics will be skeptics until their criteria for what's believable can be met. Failure in gambling is generally due to bad luck or bad money management. If they're skeptic enough to question the existence of god, im sure as hell they won't turn about because of bad luck.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 08, 2019, 08:54:25 AM
Lottery even gives better opportunity to have other investments because in most cases the money for lottery is usually very small compared to other types of gambling’s that takes more money.
you mean the tickets cost less compare to other games ?  the standard lottery ticket on our place is at .50 usd but there are also different lottery games and the tickets can cost higher . on the other hand there are also gambling games that you can bet cheaper than that .

Quote
Its true that the chances of winning in lottery can be slim but when lucky to win, its as well always huge so I consider it worthy to play and I believe this is the reason so many players choose lottery as well.
you said that winning on a lottery is hard so why would people chose it ? they could rather play more on winnable games  .

there are tons of different casino games and gambling games that we can play out there and they are more fun than a plain lotto so why not try them ?

It seems that we're living in a sad world where many people (after all) are thinking how spending a penny today could make them a fortune TOMORROW!
The fact that they'll have spent thousands of $/€ in just one year and it's still 5000 times more likely that they'd be hit by a lighting eludes them...

Lol. Quite accurate. Though it's their money anyway. And compared to other gambling types, lottery doesn't take up a lot of your time. Place a bet, wait for the result. It's one type of gambling that doesn't have much chance of getting someone addicted. Again, it's just to compare it with other forms of gambling.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 08, 2019, 08:46:41 AM
Don't chase your losses.

Don't try to be over confident while gambling.

Never think gambling will give easy money.
That's correct mate, years ago I could remembered that most of my loses where as a result of my foolishness of chasing my lost and in the process of chasing my lost end up with huge lose. That's the lesson I have learnt and still learning to avoid stigmatization from gambling, and many are still making the same mistakes.

Can't blame them. And sometimes even those that are experienced already will still make the same mistake of chasing loses. The fact that you're making a habit out of gambling will in itself cost you. Money, time, reputation, and a few more will be on the line once you succumb to excessive gambling.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 08, 2019, 08:42:23 AM
I always get 9 consecutive winning streak in a dice game but unfortunately, I am not using that opportunity to gain from my bets. what I mean I don't add funds to my bet when I hit a win I only add funds when I lost in a roll a typical martingale strategy that so popular among dice players.

Lol. Funny how that happens more often than having funded winning streaks. It's as if the casino knows when you don't have a bet and  when you do have a bet. Mine was just around 5 to 8 rolls but i wasn't able to take advantage of the streak since right after that, you get a losing streak all the same. That happens most of the time.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 07, 2019, 09:46:19 PM
Regrets are always in the end, sorry for your loss its a huge money indeed.

Investing in btc seems easy but the emotion that triggered you to do the wrong decision led you to what you are now. Sometimes we thought we can double or triple our money in gambling but thats wrong instead we can lose everything.

You learned your lesson the hard way, but it happened already what you can do is to move on because you can still earn that money by working hard.
Move on and play straight forward, mistakes can't be undone but in the other hands you'll be able to work it out and learned from each mistakes to avoid another mistakes, this hard losses can win back in another form of investment not inside gambling but another forms of investment, you need to work out with good research before dealing again if you are willing to or very keen to recover your losses.

Lol. We learn from mistakes yes, but most of the time, gambling mistakes repeat themselves. You commit a mistake, you lose money, then you try again.  I don't think there's much of a lesson learned there. If you don't get yourself out of this cycle, then pretty much you're bound to commit the same mistakes repeatedly.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does card counting really work in Blackjack? on: August 06, 2019, 10:51:40 AM
For me, yes card counting really works in blackjack, especially if you are expert at it, I have a friend that pretty good at that technique, we usually tell him to take care because some casino bans him. So it's very possible you just need skills, experience, and luck to make it possible and ensure that they will not catch you or kick you out. Smiley

People are doing and they're making pretty good money while doing it, so i guess to a point, it does work. I just don't a lot of people can efficiently  do it on a consistent basis. First two times i played black jack i tried  counting the cards when a friend told me about the technique. Not successful. Just lost more money trying to apply it and see if it works.
