Why aren't we using things like Counterparty, which allows zero-trust escrow (as far as I can tell) and has even hired 2 core devs (Peter Todd and I forgot the second name) to conduct an in-depth security review of its code and protocol?

Any idea why I am unable to place an order for xcp in poloniex? I have bitcoin in there and when I place an order it says the order is placed, but nothing happens after that i.e. nothing is deducted and my open orders are still empty.
This thread is for XCP related news, we are not doing poloniex user support here, thanks. You have a problem with Poloniex ? Open a ticket there. I know, this sounds crazy... okey dokey bellebite cheers Bellebite, always at your service Free 5 xcp for that who ask stupid question where he give smart and essentially answer English? Brain ? To ask such retarded questions here ? Could we please stop polluting this thread?

Probably built Bitcoin when he got laid off during the financial crisis in 2008.
There are multiple evidence, including the statements from Satoshi himself on the mailing list where he initially published the software, that he has worked on the implementation for year and a half, starting in summer 2007. Doesn't mean that he could have been working on it part-time and completed it when he didn't have a job. I went back and read the newsweek article.
Is Dorain S. Satoshi faking his accent and his language skills? He was born in America... he should not have remotely a Japanese accent! You also don't work on classified communication protocol projects if you don't have above average intelligence. The Bitcoin project also appears to be unnecessarily particular in how it encodes data on the wire. Something someone with low-level protocol experience would design. So I am now leaning towards the idea that Newsweek indeed has found the man! So you read the article twice ? ..... yet you concluded he was born in America? Yup..... you're a dumb ass To save you the hassle of reading the article the third time , he was born in beddu Japan. He came to America when he was 10. And for idiots like you, i will explain further .... at that time, American is extremely racist against Japanese Immigrant ( as well as racist in general). He would have had a hard time hanging out with American kids. There is no doubt his Japanese accent is strong due to lack of verbal communication. Perhaps read it a 4th time then? He's from Beppu not Beddu. Thanks for slaughtering the name of this beautiful town as well as insulting fellow members.

To wash the bad taste out of all of our mouths left by halfcab heres an update to JahPowerBits GUI. Keep in mind this is a mockup and certain elements/fonts will or have been changed. There are certain elements like the bottom footer bar that have yet to be completed.
This is one of two additional themes (so far) that will be included in the final version and is included as thanks for donation from one of our users. Once he okays the design I will be finishing it and including it in the GUI. It is titled: Flyway
Remember if you want your own theme included you can donate to JahPowerBits development fund and request any theme style you can think of. You can send me descriptions, links, pictures, etc to get your idea across. Thanks everyone! Very nice, and I plan to donate too, but just one question: will all those themes make the final app installer huge? Or are they pretty light?

When will the GUI wallet come out?
There is a GUI currently, however this requires you to download and reindex the blockchain. There is also a WebWallet under development (final release in about 3 weeks), this will be really easy to use and does not require any downloads. I'm running the GUI wallet and did not have to re-index the blockchain again. If you already have a counterpartyd installation up and running, installing the GUI wallet is trivial. What's with theMightyX's interface, though? Still waiting for it...

You can use the label sync plugin to sync labels across machines.
#1 Thanks. Where do I get that plugin? #2 Just to be clear on one other thing. The passphrase used to encrypt the wallet file would be "per device"? #1 You should already have it - Enable it through the Tools/Plugins menu. #2 Yes. Passphrase is specific to the dat file.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how come blockscan now says: Total XCP Supply: 2,648,735.92 Why the 20 XCP difference?

Is is possible to send all the xcp one has to a new address? Is there a limit to the ammount one address can hold (like in the burn)? And XCP can be send to an address generated by a local wallet like multibit?

Can someone share a counterparty DB snapshot (or make a torrent or something, like the bitcoin devs do now) so I don't have to sync from scratch? It's only for testing, so I'm not worried about fake tx.
Bump Try this. https://mega.co.nz/#!GIgVzQSB!mxbX2sUsUaLgbupdDQj2RoclulXJcyW6Q8NWma2M4FE Brilliant, thanks so much!

Where is the 1.9.8 release? I can see it's been ready for 10 days in github but no sign of it on electrum.org ?? Any issues we should be aware of?
|
|
|
I've made a wordlist of 1626 common English words consisting of 4-letter words only (and no offending words!)
The main benefit is that the Electrum seed becomes much shorter / easier to type. So perhaps you want to use it for the next version of Electrum.

Hello! A few months ago I bought 1 BTC, and transfered it to a paperwallet. However, when I now check that address it says invalid address. I tried several block explorers and none of them can find my address. I've always been using this: http://blockexplorer.com/address/15iUFVWeupHbEfgP6yvSaoEWxxapwdT44j to check my balance, but as you can see it's no longer there. So what's happening? I haven't tried to import my paper wallet yet, as it's located somewhere else, but is this really something that can happen? Is there a chance my BTC is lost now? Thanks. Do you still know (or can you recover) the exact date that you created the paperwallet? If so, I may able to find the correct address.
