81  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 05, 2017, 02:03:23 PM
I'm having some issues, they have only sent 6 out of 12 PSUs from my November 21-30 batch.

I have recieved a trackingnumber for them, but the status since 30.Nov has been "   Shipment information received".

I guess I need to buy new PSUs locally? The downtime costs too much!

To anyone complaining about import taxes:

I'm paying 338$ per S9 in customs duties, FYI!

Please stop complaining ^^

I still can't understand how the hell December batch is delivered before November batch?  Huh

What the fuck?

Are you serious? :O I'm waiting for my 21-30.Nov order..
84  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 23, 2017, 01:59:58 PM
Some are telling me on Reddit they are just getting their Nov. 21-30 batch orders. Means they shipped out earlier without me. Sad. I wonder how you get priority or do they randomize. I ordered pretty quickly.

Still shows unshipped for my 11/21-11/30 S9s - some people might get lucky, I guess.

Weird that you guys haven't gotten yours yet..I've received all of my November orders and I have even received my Dec 1 - 10 orders. Including all of the PSU's that I ordered.

lol, here I am still waiting on my Sept 15th batch of psu's.  8 of them....

They havent sent your sep 15th S9 order? :O

Edit: Oh, only PSUs?

This is just pathetic, lol!

How about taking responsibility of your own actions?
86  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S9 out of stock? on: October 22, 2017, 09:42:21 AM
Just buy Bitcoin directly. I have s9 and it's almost a year and I still have not ROI yet my initial btc payment.

This is bullshit, isnt it? ^^ Unless you overpaid like a boss.
87  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S9 out of stock? on: October 22, 2017, 09:22:10 AM
Well they are out of stock so you obviously missed this batch.
You will have to wait for next batch if you want to buy Antminer S9 from Bitmain Smiley
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HydroMining | Green Mining, environmentally friendly and profitable on: October 18, 2017, 09:55:57 AM
Will it be possible to rent Bitcoin hashing power with the H2O tokens?

Your calculator includes BTC, but your FAQ and whitepaper only talkes about GPUs.

"HYDROMINER IS FOCUSED ON GPU MINING. WHAT WAS THE REASON BEHIND THIS CHOICE RATHER THAN OTHER FORMS OF MINING?
To mine using a GPU is a lot more flexible than to mine Bitcoin over an ASIC miner. Why? Well, an ASIC miner for SHA256 (Bitcoin) will not be able to mine other cryptos, unless they are also based on SHA256. On top of that, besides SHA256, there are no really interesting coins that we believe will have a future."

Kinda confusing!

I understood it as a way for them to just help us compare in BTC but they're not involved in BTC nor do they mine BTC

This is in their whitepaper:

"We plan to have the following mining packages available in terms of 24 months:
• ETH
• BTC
• ZEC
• Basket of altcoins (for example, ETC, XMR) – to be determined at the time of offering
• Algorithmically determined most profitable mix of coins"

Seems they will offer ASIC miners.

And this makes me worried:

"Mining Proceeds
Each token can be exchanged to 5 kwH of mining power for a specific time (24 months). The resulting net
mining proceeds are paid out to the user’s HydroMiner platform wallet daily.
Net proceeds are mining proceeds minus operational expenses and hardware repurchases.

Depending on the market, we expect that net proceeds will be 20-40% of gross revenue.

10% of the mining net profits are distributed to the team. "

Does this mean you rent hashpower, but only get 20-40% of the profits from that hashing power??

I've seen some fairly high hashrates reported for Threadripper on Monero, pretty sure they were using XMR-Stak miner.

I don't remember WHERE I saw them mentioned specifically though - servethehome's "monero" thread perhaps?

my 1800x with no overclock does 575

Could you share what miner and settings you use?

50 minutes to avalon 741's on minerwarez

Is the 6th November sale over? It's not EST noon time but the batch looks like sold out...

I just refreshed the page and they showed up in stock for me...

Same here, was ready to buy a few but:

"Buyer will be responsible to arrange shipping and send label, BOL, customs paperwork or any other necessary documents to sales@minerwarez.com with your order number."

I have no idea how to do this or what it will cost, too much hassle for me tbh!

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: October 03, 2017, 12:49:45 PM
cryptotore - you could take a look at Eaton ePDU G3 Managed models: http://powerquality.eaton.com/ePDUG3/ which provide remote outlet switching. Just make sure to update firmware and change default credentials while on-site because I`ve had problems to do that remotely.
Eaton provides 1-phase as well as 3-phase PDU's (hint - 3-phase PDU's can be connected to 1-phase source just by modifying the connector).

APC also provides switched rack PDU's: http://www.apc.com/shop/lv/en/categories/power-distribution/rack-power-distribution/switched-rack-pdu/_/N-17k76am

Thanks!

God damn its expensive tho! Tongue

There arent any cheaper alternatives?
I'm looking to consume about 10k-20k W to start with!
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: October 03, 2017, 10:30:50 AM
Hi mate!

Could you give me some advice on PDU's?

I'm planning to setup a small mining farm in a very remote location, it will take me 8 hours to drive to the location.
I'm looking for a solution to remotely restart the miners if needed.

I believe it exist PDU's which can remotely power off/on the miners, but I don't know what these are called.

I'm located in Europe, and I need something that works on 230V.
I might be able to get 400V 3 phase, but Im not sure yet.

Could you help me out? What do I need? Cheesy

I just found out that the people behind Butterfly labs ASIC chips are the same producers as for the Obelisk.
I might be wrong here tho, just looking for opinions!

Thoughts?

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 29, 2017, 10:46:51 AM
I'm jealous. I'm paying 675$ import tax per D3..
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miner for Nvidia grid k2 on: September 21, 2017, 01:32:02 PM
Considering power cost, you most probably will not make a profit.

Power cost is not an issue, I just want to test the cards Smiley
