Everybody's guess is as good as yours. Generally speaking, mining seems going to be a race to the bottom where the question is whether you've made enough out of it, before it's obsolete. I've gambled and lost with Gridseeds a few years back, with the money invested then in BTC I'd be a lot richer now, even if the mining would've gone better.

I think yes.
Don't know if it's better than L3 and D3 for long term...

But each day, the buying rate on nicehash change, from 0.0098 to 0.0065 to 0.01 today (btc/day)

S9 is probably good buy as it is on 14nm and besides Hashnest has a big supply of S7's there so making new miner is shooting themselves in leg. So probably don't expect new miner for some time.

If you have had your coins from before the hard fork that gave us Bitcoin Cash, you have the same amount in Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Otherwise you'd have to exchange your BTC for BCC and transfer that as payment.

Yes I have the coins before the fork but the value in dollars for each one is different, bitmain is asking for more than 4 BCC, in BTC will be less than one BTC.

I don't see any other way than open a BCC wallet and transfer from the BTC wallet.

Yeah, the value is quite different and BCH is quite under pressure, pricewise, both because people are mining and instant selling, and because it's not really interesting enough for a lot of people to hold, because potentially all BTC holders could liquidate all the BCH they got for free with the fork.

You'll need to add your private keys for your BTC wallet in a BCH wallet to get the BCH there. Which of course is a risk, but that's well documented on the forum.

OK.
I think if a good price is found, it's very interesting, more than L3 and D3 where profit will same soon or not far....

After, there are many release , 11,12,13.5,14.... probably they continue to OC it...

And maybe there will be a problem at the next reward 6.5, except if BTC fly to the moon.... Cannot know...

What the numbers in the HW column on the Miner Status screen mean?

Got a new S9 and after a week one power supply feeding cards 6 and 7 die for a power outage, after that only card 8 working.
After power down the other power supply and power on both, the S9 did not hash, took about 4 power reset, 1 reboot and another power reset to make it hash.
When finally start hashing it only hash 9TB, card 6 show number 9 in HW column and card 7 shows numbers 18 or 26 randomly.
All the ships shows o there is no X anywhere. Card 6 shows 68 chips, card 7 56 and card 8 68. Hashing shows 4500 on all 3 cards.
Do I have a bad power supply or something wrong with this miner?

Power supplies I am using are:
Card 8 and controller - 1000W Enermax Revolution87+
Cards 6 and 7 - 1200W Corsair AX1200i.

Any feed will be appreciated, for now I have the miner down until I get a new power supply to replace the Corsair.

Be patient.  The order confirmation will come through in a couple of hours.  Their system is slow.

I'm waiting on the same thing.  Placed and order, paid, but the BCC chain must really be moving slow.  Order expired before BCC posted there.  Sent a message to support with all the info and TX numbers.  Waiting to see if they are going to change the order from Expired to Paid, refund the BCC or try to screw me out of the BCC...

Anyone else have this happen?

It doesn't matter if the tx confirmations take a little longer, as long as you have made the payment in time.
Bitmain will change the order status from expired back to valid when the confirmations are ok.

I too ordered ten pieces S9 for hosting, even though I don't quite like the whole BCC thing.
I had zero issues with the payment.

Getting closer, now marked PAID, UNSHIPPED and EXPIRED.  Cheesy
