81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 26, 2017, 06:37:12 PM
Is there a way to backup Byteball windows wallet to a small sized file? When I try the backup complete wallet option, its creating a backup file size in GBs. Is it because blackbytes transactions are only stored locally?

You are trying to back up full node wallet with the whole history of DAG database. Instead of this make a new Byteball LIGHTWEIGHT installation on a new windows user profile. Transfer all bytes and blackbytes to this new light wallet and backup the light wallet. It will take a few megabytes in size instead of gigabytes.
Thanks for providing your input. Not sure why full node wallet is not providing a way to backup just my address & private keys. If I go with the above approach, I will have relink my BTC address again to the new Byteball address.
I can see a file named "byteball.sqlite-wal" in the data directory; quite doubtful if that's the wallet file.

Dev posted this in the slack group earlier

"General overview of the RAIN physical devices:

RAIN is a self-contained unit running an on-board processing unit, the ability to manage multiple external sensors and output(s) for connecting with other RAIN units. Units allows users to keep an eye on remote conditions from a secure web interface through any PC (via Condensate network).

RAIN features analog inputs and one digital sensor port. Up to four digital sensors can be connected by daisy-chaining sensors - this gives an individual network of RAIN devices the ability to monitor larger areas and/or longer distances.

Easily view and log temperature, humidity and dew point along with external sensors over the intranet or the Web, using either a web interface or the RAIN wallet.
Open-source plug and play sensors are also compatible with RAIN devices - including but not limited to, humidity/air, temperature, water/air chemical levels, valve/seal sensor, power failure and more. RAIN's relay port is used to replicate configuration settings across multiple devices at the push of a button.

The web UI reads out an overview of sensor information along with real time environmental data. Measurements are logged allowing users to collect data and easily share that information to the Internet.

RAIN can trigger alerts - for example, if temperature or chemical levels fluctuate over a set value, the user is notified via encrypted messaging."

This is indeed a promising and fresh idea which runs along the lines of the coin name. How the coin itself would be involved in operating these RAIN physical devices is something to see..

Damn cryptopia taking ages.
I can see BitCore wallet status as under maintenance in Cryptopia exchange. Is there any new version of wallet out now, for this to happen?

Edit: Maybe upgrading to Bitcore Update Version 0.14.1.6

Is there something wrong with Suprnova?
They're pool efficiency keeps dropping.

There's someone mining with the wrong algo and even though he gets banned and banned over again he tries it again after a few minutes..

Hopefully he understands it soon.. Smiley

It's no problem, he just uglifies the stats a bit
Just out of curiosity, how is nomp module accepting shares if its created and submitted using a different algo? Or is the shares getting rejected constantly from that person?

Exactly, they're all rejected but inserted as "invalid share" into the database, thats what makes the efficiency of the pool drop (because there are lots of invalid shares in the DB).

When thinking about it, those shares maybe shouldn't be inserted into the DB at all because they're not paid either.. only valid shares are paid, so maybe it's a good idea to change that soon at my side..
Sounds right - only invalid shares due to stale job has to go to the DB to calculate the pool efficiency. No point bringing the stats down due to a client side error. Who would be running the miner without even looking at the output (with so many reds) Smiley

Doesn't ccminer support cryptonote algo for Nvidia cards? Anyhow, seeing the deposit function for interest in a coin after hodlcoin. All the best.

Hello everyone, need help.
I tried to solo mining (by using this guide: http://cryptovore.com/2017/07/19/how-to-mine-signatum-sigt/) but nothing works.
I getting this message:
Code:
[07:15:13] Started sgminer 5.3.3
[07:15:13] * using Jansson 2.10
[07:15:14] Probing for an alive pool
[07:15:17] 127.0.0.1 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid

First: I got a wallet.
2nd: I made a config file in C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Signatum:
Code:
rpcuser=randomname1
rpcpassword=randompass1
server=1
listen=1
daemon=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=3333
3rd: Made a bin in my sig-miner folder:
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

sgminer.exe -k skunkhash -o 127.0.0.1:3333 -u randomname1 -p randompass1 -I 21
pause

So, how can I fix my problem and start solo-mining? (Google search didn't show me workable solution)
Thanks.
Try the miner execution as: sgminer.exe -k skunkhash -o http://127.0.0.1:3333 -u randomname1 -p randompass1 -I 21
But with the current difficulty, pool mining is the better option IMHO.

just out of curiosity, was it never considered to maybe only distribute 10% of the premine once the the distribution until november was done and burn the rest?
I believe the idea is to keep the circulation of this coin same as that of Bitcoin; burning off coins would defeat that purpose right?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TIMEREUM (TME): First manually mined smart contract token. on: July 25, 2017, 06:47:34 PM
Buy 1250 TME for 0.005 Eth

Translate to this address, and I will translate Eth 0x1cF460DB4a2290498616C2D9AeA2ad1Ed201fA39
You must have spent more than this as Gas price right? To transfer from child to parent and mine this first set of 1250 TMEs? Isn't that 0.01ETH?

Count if posts in the localized branches of the discussion DeepOnion, or are the posts in the original topic? I apologize if this question has already been asked.
From what have I read in the ANN page, any useful post with > 100 characters would be counted, no matter if its in this topic or in some others. Please correct me if I'm wrong..

Is there a verified desktop wallet equivalent of Electrum for Ethereum where we need not download the entire blockchain? I know of MED browser wallet, but any other that the community supports?

If I buy BTX from an exchange can I receive 3% airdrop to an exchange account?
You will have to make sure that the exchange is indeed keeping that amount in the same address shown to you in your exchange wallet by cross checking the address in official BitCore explorer.. This is my assumption, but let the coin devs double confirm this here.

I like this coins name. First it condensates then it rains . Fun way to look at the staking process.

Please, tell me, I have coins for more than a month, but in the line Stake 0.00, it should be, or something goes wrong?

How many coins do you own ? Is the wallet open always ?

2600 coins, the wallet is always open
Add the below line to your wallet config file, save and restart wallet:
staking=1

Stratum host: stratum+tcp://neonpool.sytes.net
Stratum port: 7001
Username: <your-denarius-wallet-address>.<worker-name>

https://github.com/muecoin/MUECore code is used to build the daemon and create the pool address. Dev, hope it has all the latest changes of the shared executable and is good to use.
