81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you developing as a player? on: July 17, 2024, 08:08:44 PM
Are you getting better at predicting the results of sports matches?
I'm only going to answer this question. Yes, I'm getting better at predicting sports matches overtime. I've made some losses in sports betting when I was new but after doing it for a year I can say that I'm getting good at it and most of my bets are winning ones.

I'm a player who never bets on matches where chance of winning is low or medium, I still face some losses because my predictions aren't 100% accurate but I can surely say that my predicting skills are getting improved. I would say that out of 10 bets I predict 7-8 accurately with winning results, and that's more than enough for me as a player.
82  Economy / Gambling / Re: 👑 CoinRoyale.com - Original Bitcoin Casino | Trusted Since 2013 ✔️ on: July 16, 2024, 08:30:05 PM
By the way, do you have any tournament in any sport that you’re currently following? I’m looking for new sports to try out and see if I will be interested in them.
Nope, I don't have any idea about any new tournaments of the sports that I like or prefer, that's why I won't be able to recommend you anything at the moment. ICC men's T20 World Cup was a good one but it also ended and that's why I'm not into any tournaments yet. I hope there will be a good tournament soon, till then I won't place any bets and wait patiently for sometime.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's better to make a good profit – Sports bet or online Casino? on: July 16, 2024, 04:42:37 PM
for Sports bet or online Casino, it always needs luck for us to happen and to generate a profit
I believe I agree that at online casino games we need to be very lucky in order to win against the house edge set by the casinos but I think those who're into sports betting can win even if they aren't very lucky because those games aren't much dependent on luck but on research.

Sports betting can be somewhat predictable if someone do good research but it's impossible to predict the outcomes of those online casino games and that's why I believe those who're good at research should choose sport betting and those who are lucky should choose online casino games for betting.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox-Linked Wallet Just Made A Test Transfer ... Get Ready for Another Plunge on: July 16, 2024, 04:35:07 PM
I agree with you. Even if Bitcoin drops to $5k, I'll be very happy because it's rather an opportunity to own more.
Trust me it won't drop to $5k value ever! Those who got Bitcoin at $5k value were the lucky ones and such things don't happen again and again.

There's chance to see Bitcoin's bottom at $40k maybe if it somehow reaches the peak of $100k only but if it crosses it in this bull run then I guess the bottom won't be below $50k.
85  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My activity stopped increasing on: July 16, 2024, 04:31:45 PM
Why did my activity stopped increasing, what could be the problem, please I need help.
There is no problem, your activity will start increasing when you improve your positing habits. We get 14 activity points in 14 days and for those a user must make 14 or more posts in 14 days to gain those activity points. If someone makes 10 posts in 14 days then instead of getting 14 activity points that user will gain 10 activity points.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest Practical Ways Someone Could Own One Bitcoin Starting from Zero in 2024 on: July 16, 2024, 04:28:35 PM
History has taught us (at least some of us) that the most profitable moment to invest is at the end of the four-year cycle when the price touches the absolute bottom, and probably the worst moment is after the halving.
I think that's a pretty useful statement and I highly agree with you. Bitcoin will once again lose a lot of its value in the bear run and that's going to be the perfect time for the ones who want to invest in it, but unfortunately people think differently, they buy an asset when its at its peak and sell it when it starts losing value.

Similarly, Bitcoin investors get interested when they see Bitcoin's value going upward and when they hear about any sad news like that of Germany's Bitcoin selling or that of Mt. GOX crediting then they sell their holding much cheaper in fear that if they hold those then they may have more losses. That's why for such weak hands DCA+DIP buying works because they keep accumulating when others are selling for cheap.

I personally believe that one should try to buy Bitcoin when it's at its bottom or at least be positive that when Bitcoin reaches a new bottom value then again it will gain value in the bull run. Buy in bear market and sell at peak is often done by those with strong hands, for weak hands it's not possible to hold for such long term.

As 2-4 years is a lot of time for weak hands who monitor the market like owls in hope to gain fast profits. But, those who are into accumulating a Bitcoin for long-term holding should always buy it if they have money when Bitcoin is at its bottom values.
87  Other / Meta / Re: Lucius Merit Source Application🆕 on: July 16, 2024, 04:17:19 PM
Yes we do, and I only needed to see the name in the title of the thread to know I'd support this application.
Yes, I got the same feeling when I saw the name in the title. Lucius has been a really good member of the forum and someone like him could be a very useful merit source. Such a member should be highly considered when selection of new merit sources take place.

I agree with you that when Theymos starts adding new merit sources then a reputed member like Lucius should be part of it. New merit sources are highly needed and I believe Theymos should think about it. I'm pretty sure someone like Lucius could be pretty helpful for the community as a merit source.

The deed has been done, the game has been played and after all the debates we have finally gotten our winners, Spain.
I was pretty sure that Spain could win the finals but I didn't placed any bet because I try my best to avoid betting when both teams are in finals and they play with their best effort. Team Spain performed quite well and after watching their matches most people were sure that Spain will win, but it was still unpredictable then. However, now we know that who won it! Thumbs up for the team Spain.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being hesitant could make or break you. on: July 15, 2024, 05:44:44 PM
What's the best way to overcome the problems of uncertainty and hesitation when determining an amount to wager?
The best way to overcome such problems is to limit your wager amount. Let's say if you're 70% sure that Spain would win and you had $3k the instead of making a bet of $3k one should minimize it to 1/10th by making a bet of $300 instead.

I guess that's the best way to avoid any issues even if someone losses such bets then again he/she could make more bets with the rest of the money and might recover the losses and make profits. I personally avoid betting on finals because it's quite risky and unpredictable.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest Practical Ways Someone Could Own One Bitcoin Starting from Zero in 2024 on: July 15, 2024, 05:37:59 PM
If I want to own just one BTC, suggest the best strategy to do it.

How many do I need to buy monthly?

If you earn $10k per month then you can buy one whole Bitcoin within 6 months if it's price remains at average of $60k but if it goes over $80k then you may need 8 months.

It depends on someone's earnings, if someone earns a lot of money or already have a lot of money then he/she can buy a Bitcoin within few hours.

The best way so far is to follow the DCA strategy if you don't earn $10k per month. Invest 10% to 30% of your income per month to Bitcoin accumulation and hold the accumulated Bitcoin.
91  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade multiple trading pairs or only a few trading pairs? on: July 15, 2024, 05:30:12 PM
What is your opinion about this?
I think I also share same views as of yours. I only trade few pairs and so far I've made profits on those pairs. Sometimes I do test out new pairs but most of the times I avoid new pairs and stick to the ones that I trade mostly.

I mostly trade Bitcoin/USDT and so far that has been one of the most profitable pair for for but yes I do trade LTC, Solana, TON, ETH, and a few other pairs. I traded Not Coin when it was added to Binance and made some profits with that but if I had hold that then I could've made more profit with that one.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Were you apart of the online poker scene in the early 2000’s ? on: July 15, 2024, 05:25:09 PM
No, I wasn't part of the online poker scene of that era because in 2000's I wasn't interested in online gambling at all. I started playing poker games in after 2010 but never betted any real money in it.

I'm still away from online poker betting but I'm good at poker as I'm a top class player of Governor of Poker game, however in that game no one bets with real money.

I actually tried some online poker games but those weren't quite good and I didn't found any good online poker games yet that I may play.
93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When is the best time to trade a Bitcoin on: July 15, 2024, 05:16:50 PM
A reason why many traders fail is they believe that 1 strategy fits all market conditions which deniably does not.
That's quite true, no single strategy works in all market conditions. A good trader knows that thing and that's why he/she uses multiple strategies according to the market.

A strategy that works in bull market may not work in bear market and similarly a strategy that works in bear market may not work in bull market.

I personally use more than one strategy but in most cases my first strategy works while in some market conditions I use another strategy. And, when market is totally unpredictable then I don't make any trades.
94  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freebitco.in withdraw issue on: July 14, 2024, 07:50:34 PM
Thank you, I can see now I am not alone in this situation Undecided I have there now abou 0,18BTC so it is pitty for me Cry
That's a lot of money and I fell bad for you, but as Die_empty mentioned that you aren't the only one facing withdrawal issues with freebit.co and that's why you should patiently observe that thread.

Freebit.co was doing well in past but now users are facing so many issues with them. I hope that you and other users will get their payment but who knows when.

I suggest you to be active on that thread and keep others updated about your issue. If your issue gets solved then they might somehow start fixing other users issues as well. Till then patience is important.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Addiction is 100% your choice: on: July 14, 2024, 07:44:45 PM
Can you comfortably tell yourself that you have never been addicted to gambling and that you can never be addicted to gambling because of how you go about it?
I can but only if I apply the rules of gambling responsibility. If I start gambling 4 hours per day or more than no matter how many times I tell myself that I won't get addicted to gambling, I'll still get addicted to it.

Those who're addicted to tobacco think that they aren't actually addicted to it but they're smoking it because it makes them happy. Similarly if someone gets addicted with that mindset then he/she will never admit the addiction but tells that gambling only relives his/her stress and that's why he/she gambles everyday.

I think we really need some new merit sources and Lucius is a reputed member of the forum and that's why I think he can also be a pretty good merit source.
