81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to invest in bitcoin to build a country whose economy is down? on: August 22, 2023, 11:59:05 PM
Yes, country can invest in Bitcoin to build their economy which we have seen in some countries like El Salvador who has developed their country with the help of Bitcoin investment. There are many countries today created a good atmosphere for their citizens to acquire the knowledge of Bitcoin so that they will not depend on one job alone in their countries than to take a risk to invest in Bitcoin and have something special to earn in the future, which is the best thing any government that care for their citizens can do to adopt Bitcoin for the sake of their youths. Based on what other countries saw during the pandemic that reduced many countries economy but those countries that adopted Bitcoin in their countries didn't experienced much collapse in their economy.
How and on what basis can you argue that countries that adopt Bitcoin will not experience much economic collapse?.
I don't know what you think and how you can think practically like that. but to overcome the problem of economic downturn in a country is not that easy just by investing or adopting Bitcoin.
If it's that easy to solve a country's economic problems, then right now we should have seen that every country in the world should have legalized and adopted Bitcoin, right? so that they can overcome the problem of a bad economy?.
82  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 22, 2023, 11:40:49 PM
Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.
Not sure if they are proud or not but what I do know is that those who gamble secretly are the kind of people that is prone to gambling addiction , because there is no one that can advise or support them in things like this.
and with that they can manage to gamble anytime they wanted and can spend how much they can afford.
I think that someone who keeps his gambling activity a secret does not mean that person is definitely prone to addiction problems. Everyone can definitely experience gambling addiction problems and it depends on how a person's condition and mentality is.
Keeping gambling activities secret certainly has different aims and objectives for everyone. In my opinion, gambling is not an activity to be proud of because gambling is not an activity that can always be profitable but can also cause fatal losses and other social problems, especially in places where gambling is illegal.
I think most people keep gambling a secret because they don't want to get too involved with social problems or negative views from their family, loved ones or colleagues. And I think it may be related to their main job that sometimes some people need to maintain their good name and their credibility from the views of other people.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN: Give people time! on: August 21, 2023, 09:33:58 PM
There is no point in making it look like people who don't buy the idea of Bitcoin are not smart or intelligent. Not everyone would buy into an idea.
People should make decisions because they feel it's the best decision at the moment for them, not out of peer pressure or any other reason.
Yes, you are right and I totally agree that we shouldn't simply or immediately assume other people who disagree with our explanations or ideas about Bitcoin are stupid people, don't want to improve their finances or people who can't keep up with digital developments.
Everyone has their own opinions, beliefs and conditions. So we must respect whatever that person's response is. We don't deserve to give inappropriate judgment to others just because they don't agree with or reject our ideas about Bitcoin, because we ourselves definitely don't like it when others underestimate us.
We will never fully know their condition and whether they are really ready to accept Bitcoin, let the decision to believe in Bitcoin or the intention to adopt Bitcoin come from themselves or their own desires not because of someone's influence or coercion.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can’t cope on my own. What do you think I should do? on: August 21, 2023, 09:09:32 PM
What do you all think i should do?
I don't know, the problem is that you are betting your money not our money, so it has to depend on your beliefs and whether you are willing to take the risk or not. But remember that most scams have schemes, patterns and strategies like that, they provide or hold free games that are easy to win with a limited time then if you want to keep playing you have to pay a certain amount of money to become a VIP member.
I think it's a kind of strategy to entice someone to trust their services more. By giving someone an easy win first to gain that person's trust.
But actually you can count on it. Did you get more wins while you were following their service than the amount of money they asked to become a VIP member?. If it's more money you get then you can give it a try but if it's not worth your winnings then I think it's best to avoid it or don't need to continue with them.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 20, 2023, 10:28:54 PM
Why will a gambler utilized loan money for gambling in the first place, it absolutely makes no sense. Loans are taken for budgeting purposes, not gambling, and they have implications that we might never exist after encountering. Gambling with a solid mental balance will undoubtedly lead to gambling with an estimated amount of money, rather than the other way around. When it comes to gambling, we feel more pressure to do what we think is right, but we often forget that the chances of succeeding are 50/50. It's as simple as that: our results either result in profits or loses.
Even though gambling should be just for entertainment, not more so for profit and money, why do you have to make loans to get lucky, that's obviously not very good, in the end everything will get worse because gambling with borrowed money will not bring good results, so why Gamble with money you can afford to lose, not with borrowed money.

Usually, in some cases, people gamble with borrowed money because they want to try their luck again, so that the previous defeat destroyed them, so for them to take a fast way is to borrow money to gamble again, but in most cases, in the end, gamblers who are in debt will end tragically like suicides and others. The point is, never approach gambling if you really don't have money because gambling is a hobby that is quite a waste of money.

Every gambler knows this, but we cannot deny that some gamblers are still skating over a knife by putting themselves in a bad position for borrowing some money just for the sake of gambling and not just to entertain themselves for a few couple of hours. In most cases, gamblers do this because they are chasing for the money that they've lost because otherwise, it wouldn't lead them to this very position where more debts are almost inevitable.
People who choose to pursue gambling not for fun or as entertainment, it is certain that the percentage of failures will befall them. In fact, every gambler knows that if they continue to chase the lost money then there are two choices, namely to win and be able to return the lost money or lose which will add to problems and worsen their condition.
But most gamblers are not aware that they will face the problem of gambling addiction and prefer the risk to continue to chase their lost money and expect a bigger return because they have been consumed or influenced by the suggestion system that is built in gambling, namely as if they will win for a while again.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can everyone in the world have bitcoin. on: August 20, 2023, 10:05:56 PM
My question is that is it possible for everyone to have bitcoin with the number of limited supply of bitcoin ?
I think Bitcoin is just like Gold because it is a finite and rare resource and not everyone will have something that is valuable and has high value. There have been many calculations given and it is possible that if it is shared with everyone then it is possible. But this is more complex depending on the conditions of each individual.
We know that there are many factors that will influence someone not to be able to own Bitcoin like having Gold. Some of these factors, such as financial inability, ignorance about the science of getting Bitcoin, internet network limitations and someone's disinterest will affect it. Even food and drinks which includes basic needs for life cannot be distributed or cannot be owned equally by everyone in the world, right?.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 19, 2023, 06:50:28 PM
If they're over 40, luddites, and have to learn from the beginning, forget it; it's a waste of time. Let them find out for themselves.
I think that's still manageable if their age is around 40-50. But more than 50+ then I think that should be a waste of time. Anyway, yeah, these ages could really be wasting the time of someone who's going to teach them Bitcoin.
If they're curious and it keeps on ticking on them then they should be the one to start to realize and understand what Bitcoin is and if they can attain to take the risk that they are having with it.
Because if they can't, there's no age gap on this one. Someone who can risk will have to take risk and those that can't even the younger ones, they'll have to flee the market and ignore it.
I don’t know why you both point out a specific age at which they will not acquire the knowledge correctly. I hope you know that even someone who is less than 20 years old may not even understand what someone this age will understand quickly. This is a matter of interest. Whatever age you are, as long as you are ready to learn, why can’t they learn it? We have many people who are 50 or older, and these people are still going to school to get more knowledge or maybe looking for another qualification. What are you going to say about these people? Will you say they will not understand what they will teach there or what? So anyone of any age can come and learn, as long as they are ready to take the risk. It’s simple, and they will get to understand it. Normally, we need more people to adopt bitcoin.
I agree with your opinion that age cannot limit someone's interest in learning what they want to know, including learning about crypto and Bitcoin.
I don't know, maybe according to them someone who is over 50 years old is old-fashioned and doesn't want to keep up with technological developments and maybe according to them people who are over 50 years old experience a setback in thinking because of their health and physical factors. But we can't generalize that everything is like that, in fact there are many people who are over 50 years old who are still thirsty for learning and knowledge and many are still following technological developments.
I think teaching someone from the older generation has several advantages, namely they have a more mature understanding and mindset. And I think it's worth it to teach the older generation about Bitcoin as long as they have the will to learn and as long as they are not seriously ill.
Because someone who is experiencing illness or health problems in my opinion is better not to give them much thought so as not to affect their health condition.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 19, 2023, 06:11:03 PM
Which one would you choose from these and why?
Half a million US dollars for me is a very large amount, well if I wish I had that much money then I would choose to build a business first.
Because I like sports, I have always had the goal of building a place for the center of various sports fields such as futsal, badminton, billiards and swimming pools and others for rent as well as selling all sports needs or accessories in there.
Why do I want to run this business because in my opinion besides running a business I can also influence or get people to actively exercise every day so I think it's a business that has good reciprocity and is mutually beneficial.
Then because my place is an industrial center or we could say there are many large factories with thousands of employees, I will continue to build several houses to rent out to the factory workers. Once I build a business and get income from renting the house then I will be calm enough to put my money in stocks and crypto.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 18, 2023, 10:03:23 PM
What will be your advice for this young boy?
If he is already familiar with the world of gambling then actually that is very unfortunate, but in my opinion sometimes in life things like that they need to know as well as long as there is someone who can control and direct him not to overdo it in gambling or other negative activities.
I think you are someone he respects because your nephew is telling the truth to you, so my suggestion is that maybe you can be a role model for your nephew and be someone who directs him that gambling is okay as long as it's not excessive and provides understanding and explanation to him that the system in gambling is mostly to the detriment of the gambler so let him judge for himself so they can proceed to appreciate the money they get more.
Then you can also teach him or give advice to your nephew so that the money he gets instead of being used for gambling should be used to invest to save his future.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has nothing to do with crime on: August 18, 2023, 09:41:37 PM
Yes, it depends on the person for whom it will be used. But it does, some people make use of this technology for illegalities which makes the name Bitcoin become a tool for crime.

These days, many scammers use Bitcoin to scam people and it eventually gains a negative impact and ruins the image of crypto. Many people got caught doing this and so we can't blame others to think that Bitcoin is scam stuff and increase crime because we know that it really happens. Which why the government is trying to control cryptocurrency in order to stop people from committing crimes using this.
Yes you're right about that, it cannot be denied that Bitcoin can indeed be used to carry out illegal actions, fraud or certain crimes, it all depends on the person using the Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was not created to support criminal activity in any form, but it is bad people who take advantage of Bitcoin's advantages to commit certain crimes.
Actually, if people can think more critically and more rationally, then they can't just blame Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just a digital currency and only inanimate objects just like fiat, gold and other valuable objects that can be used to carry out illegal actions.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 17, 2023, 07:41:37 PM
then I have to come with the idea that Bitcoin can make availability of food in our table when we learn and understand the basic things of Bitcoin especially understand trading and long term investment of Bitcoin.
I think with trading they will be a provision of food in our table,
Sorry but I don't completely agree with your idea or your thought. If we have studied and understood the basic knowledge about Bitcoin, then we carry out trading and investment activities in Bitcoin even though in earnest it will not necessarily guarantee that we will always succeed in getting profits or as you say "providing food on our table".
From your thoughts, this creates a perception that we will always be profitable if we understand the basic knowledge and then carry out trading or investing activities in Bitcoin. In reality it is not that easy to get profit from trading or from investing in Bitcoin because in fact we can also experience losses.

with seriousness on Bitcoin investment and trading, we can achieve a success.
I think seriousness is not enough to be able to benefit from trading and investing in Bitcoin because it requires sacrifice to experience losses as well.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: August 17, 2023, 06:59:44 PM
Online gambling is a billion dollar industry. Even the country that doesn't have the perfect regulatory compliance makes billion dollar revenue. This is the reason we were able to see countries that doesn't ban gambling completely.
Yes you are right, gambling is an industry that can generate billions of dollars. It is not surprising that every country cannot completely prohibit gambling activities even though in fact every country and even every region has clear and firm regulations to prohibit online or offline gambling activities.
But as long as there is money flowing into the wallet of a person or group who has power, then the gambling activity is invisible and not disputed by law.
Gambling activity will really get involved with legal issues only if there is a case that goes viral, but as long as no person or group reports gambling activity until it goes viral then gambling activity will continue and continue to grow.
I admit that the people who manage the gambling industry are very great because they can take advantage of technological advances and always have many ways to silence the regulations that exist in each region or even in a country.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: August 15, 2023, 11:39:25 PM
I totally agree with you and that 100% happens that some people do it, but not a few people are more curious about playing gambling and when defeat befalls them they don't even give up on doing it again, but without realizing that they have entered a war where someone those who have high curiosity will do it continuously and even uncontrollably and when they realize they have spent so much money, it is different from those who are used to controlling their emotions and passions, they prefer to use their common sense if they continue to play, that they will spend so much money, then because people who have such traits will be more likely to appreciate their income and vice versa with people who have high emotions and high passions they will continue to drain their wallets or accounts to continue gambling.
Yes it's true, sometimes most gamblers' mindset is almost the same, namely they feel they will win soon and continue to gamble and only then will they realize that they have run out of their money.
But not many people can completely control their emotions and passions when they are gambling because the pleasure in gambling stimulates their adrenaline more and most of them are definitely unconscious and as if drugged by gambling arrangements that play with their thoughts and emotions that they will win a little more if they continue to follow the gambling game.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ads for online gambling should be banned. on: August 15, 2023, 11:18:18 PM

s/amp.theguardian.com/australia-news/2023/jun/28/ads-for-online-gambling-should-be-banned-in-australia-within-three-years-inquiry-recommends]Ads for online gambling should be banned across all media and at all times within three years to combat the manipulation of an “impressionable and vulnerable audience”, a parliamentary inquiry has recommended.

After months of debate about betting ads, including the prime minister, Anthony Albanese, labelling them “annoying” and the opposition leader, Peter Dutton, calling for a ban on ads during sports matches, the inquiry has provided a blueprint to shut them down entirely.
https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2023/jun/28/ads-for-online-gambling-should-be-banned-in-australia-within-three-years-inquiry-recommends

If this should be implemented will it affect bitcointalk casinos? As we all know most established and new casinos come to bitcointalk to launch their ANN thread and carry out signature promotion campaigns which can be regarded as ads in a sense. If ads should be banned will their promotion in Bitcointalk also end?
I don't know, but I think this regulation will only apply in Australia and probably won't have an impact on this Bitcointalk forum.
In the article you shared I saw that the main focus on the news was to remove the ads that appear on their sports broadcasts, and they said to remove or focus on the problem of gambling ads that often appear in public places that are often seen by Australians such as advertisements and sponsors in every sporting event in their country.
Meanwhile, advertisements for casinos or gambling places on this forum cannot be seen or are not displayed directly to the general public in that country.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 14, 2023, 11:14:53 PM
Yes, I agree with you, everyone should take gambling as an entertaining thing not taking a reliable source of income. Responsible gambling is a thing where gamblers are able to control their emotions, set a limit and they are fully aware of the risk.  Additionally, i also think chasing winning is a dangerous thing, it will make you crazy and you will end up as a gambling addict.  So, i wanna say balancing entertainment with your responsible behavior can help you to avoid the pitfalls of addiction and that's how you could maintain a healthy relationship with gambling.
Everyone has their own reasons for gambling and not everyone can think of gambling as just entertainment. Most of those who come to gambling places expect to get big profits quickly with minimal capital.
Yes, before we enter the world of gambling we should be aware of the risks and the most important thing is to set limits, but i think maybe not many people can do that because it will not be easy when we are already gambling, unconsciously we will enjoy it and feel we have to spend a little more time to be able to win. We will only realize when our money has run out.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My easy way to teach your kids bitcoin. on: August 14, 2023, 10:48:48 PM
Kids love cartoons, but its our responsibility to make sure they watch good ones. The fact that there are so many Bitcoin videos on YouTube shows that people around the world know how important it is to learn about Bitcoin from a young age. Why wait until they are bigger and then rush to get them to school? The first few years are very important. Prepare them for success RIGHT NOW. The future will be divided, and it is our moral duty to make sure our kids are ready for it.
It is true that there is a responsibility to ensure the success of children in the future, in my opinion as long as we as parents have a mature plan to teach our children about Bitcoin then it is fine and when someone feels that it is not too important to teach their children then it is also no problem, that's the right of each parent.
As long as they teach well and in accordance with the portion and not too much in teaching it to children, we must also remember that the success of our children does not only depend on whether they understand and understand about Bitcoin.
And most importantly our children are comfortable with what we teach. We also have to remember that if we force teaching on children too much and they are not comfortable with it, maybe one day the children will hate what we teach before.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: August 13, 2023, 11:24:40 PM
To quit gambling addiction is not easy to do or achieve in general view, but if the addicted gambler think it's something easy for him to achieve and do then it will conveniently take place without any stress in finding a means to stop addiction, in most of the cases of addiction, it is we the third party trying to introduce a means to curb addiction on gamblers and not the gamblers on their own will are trying to quit, so it may be very difficult for us to achieve this except the gamblers involved make a move by themselves towards stopping, then we support them towards the achievement if such.
For the level of severe gambling addiction, it is indeed not easy to get rid of this addiction because this person can no longer control his lust.
A person who is addicted to gambling may not be able to think easily to get rid of his lust. I think the only way maybe with hypnosis or rehabilitation or maybe the family has to take action to force the person away from the environment where he was exposed to gambling.
After removing a person from the initial environment he knows gambling then his family provides support by making someone do other activities that he likes.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: think before investing on: August 13, 2023, 10:57:17 PM
I became more interesting on this topic when my friend hard about the profit on trading and investing on bitcoins.without  the ideas or knowledge about it. because he only hard  that, there are high profit on investing on Bitcoin. without knowing how Bitcoin is been trade. he went and sold his property to invest on Bitcoin without been knowledgeable about it. he went ahead and invest but loss everything because he doesn't know how to trade Bitcoin.
I wonder how someone could do such a reckless thing. He is willing to sell his property to trade Bitcoin but has no understanding of crypto trading?.
Your friend is completely complete in terms of carelessness. Don't have a goal, don't have a plan, can't think of a risk, then when he lose he regret it. How ironic if that's true.
Is he a gambling addict and is advised to try trading? His actions that do not think about the risks and origins in selling the property are like the behavior of someone who is addicted to gambling.

He came and told me everything. i feel pity on him, and started teaching him how Bitcoin is been trade and invest. He was very serious to lean and now his happy and his doing very well. in every business or investment you are in backing on, I think you need to lean and be  knowledgeable about it before you invest on it.
I'm not sure someone with that mindset will be successful in trading or investing. It's not that I'm underestimating, but from the start if your friend's mindset is like what you describe then it won't go well because changing someone's mindset is not an easy and fast thing.

100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 23, 2023, 05:45:19 AM
I have seen a report today that in 2022 crypto payments showed an amazing rise. People are really accepting it and giving the value as they are giving to fiat payments.

Are you guys accepting crypto payments for your business?

As long as the government can legalize bitcoin as a legal transaction tool, there may be more companies that pay, and companies that receive payments using Bitcoin as a substitute for Fiat. No need to question the value of fluctuations, confusion with Fiat can always be done to maintain the value of products or services.

But as long as the regulation still inhibits bitcoin for payment tools, maybe we will see more of bitcoin as an asset traded on the exchange than to see the use of bitcoin to buy goods.
But if I have a business, receiving Bitcoin as a means of payment is a very good breakthrough.
