Hi All,
for those who have the 100% Fan Speed Problem with RX400 Cards, this is a bug in the Driver and it was solved until
Driver Version 16.11.4/.5
https://community.amd.com/thread/203282
Hashrate with Driver v16.11.5 is the same, I  have test it. But the Problem with 100% fan Speed dissapeared ..

driver 16.11.5 the most stable. Hash rate may not be high, and less problems.

I too had fan issues yesterday with rx470s

luckily they went to 100%. fixed with a reboot. speedfan wasn't able to actually change fan speeds until after reboot.
Same problem on rx 480 nitro
I changed to 9.5 , less speed but safe.

Claymor - enough for Thailand to relax, let people new  miner!

Here we go... the profitability of XMR in trash Cheesy

And which is better? All bad now)

I am geting some odd issues on my AMD 470 mining rigs. Like Fans going on 100% randomly until rig freezes or sometimes it will shutdown it self?
Drivers 16.9.2 and 9.6 miner.
I have tryed to lower voltage to 0 and it don't help also i have lower all the clocks 1100/1750 -0mv same thing happens.

By the way my 380 and 390 mining rigs work like a charm on old risers.

I also stop 480 (((

Do you know an other pool with a lower minimum ?

Given the price of XMR it is time for a new miner!!!

No ETA, sorry. I will do it as soon as I can, but firstly I need to update dual miner. Also don't forget about holidays Smiley

Miners have no holidays(( have pity on us! Dual miner was recently updated and we want a lot of Monero!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Have a good new year!

I have two farms on RX480 crash on XMR. Too bad that is not overloaded, but just no image or shut down.
maybe you have a to high oc ? did you try it with stock ?

Without acceleration. It's only on the XMR. ETH & ZEC everything is fine!

what hashing speed of each 480 card for monero?
735 H/s
Can't you share your set up? I used stock set up, only got 640~ ea
SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon™ RX 480 8 GB
746 H/s  1300/2100 - stable. If higher frequency memory - disconnect. Power consumption does not interest)) 130 in General, 130 watt card))

Would someone be so kind as to post recommended optimal "-h" settings for RX470 4GB GPUs?  I am running a 5-GPU (not bios modded yet) rig of them with "-a 2".  Default -h setting of 1024 gets me about 2860 total hash-rate (~570 per GPU).  However, when I tried increasing that to 1280 last night, it actually resulted in a lower hash-rate of about 2500.  Is there a sweet spot for these cards?  I also have 1 8GB 470 on this rig. should I specify a higher -h value for it vs the 4GB cards?

Also, I think it was Wolf that mentioned 470's are capable of close to 800 H/s on Monero.  Would you mind sharing how you were able to achieve this?  On my other rig with 4x470 4GB (bios strap-1500 modded), I am able to get 690 H/s per card with under-volting, and core/clock settings of 1150/1950.  These cards cannot really be pushed past 2000 so there must be something else to do to get that extra ~100 per card.  Maybe it's the question I asked above about -h value?  If so, would the recommended -h value for strap-modded GPUs be any different that un-modded ones?
480 worse.More expensive, but the result is the same.

I just set up my RX 480 8GB but I'm getting just 620H/s mining Monero. The temperatures also seem to be lower than full load. Full load would be around 75-80 degrees Celsius but right now they are around 68-70.

The Zcash miner works as it should, getting 225-230H/s, card gets in full load. Any clues what it might be? I did set the gpu allocation percent to 100 so I really can't tell what it is.  Undecided

As usual for the RX 480. It is possible to be improved, but not significantly. When optimization сrims 16

I don't dislike Dwarfpool, I have used them extensively for ETH, but I was chiming in on the "categorically" post.  Your comment about "logic" is insulting and implies that you believe that larger is better in regards to choosing a pool.  As any miner should know, diversification of pools is critical for the health of any cryptocurrency and your post actually reveals a lot more about your lack of logic.

I don't like dwarfpool too. Example: one of the farms - 3 x RX480 - 2.2 Kh/s claymor. On dwarfpool - current approx.speed 1.88 XC - profit 0.3260000 xmr for 24 hours. On minergate.com 24 hours - 0,3560000 xmr

which is best pool for mining monero?

Dwarfpool.
I wonder why so categorically?

I will update this miner as soon as I can. But firstly I need to update ZEC and dual miners, so it will take several days.

Great. Although DualMiners and ZEC was updated recently... And CriptoNote very long time no updated...

yup exactly!  newmz got quite lucky that his old cards were good for mining ZEC, now he wants those of us with newer cards to effectively be punished by Claymore not updating this miner?  Man, talk about sour grapes lol.  But all is not lost newmz... you can keep on mining ZEC until it falls to $5 if it makes you happy to see those blazing hashrates lol.
Listen your RX 480 won't hash at like 2000 H/s with XMR. Its pretty much very similar in speeds to a 280x - 290. Only difference is that it uses much less power.

If you don't believe me compare gaming benchmarks with a RX 480 and a R9 290 and see what results you get.

Just because your GPU is newer doesn't mean its faster, its the same speed just uses less power. No idea why so many noobs don't understand that. They keep complaining on the ZEC Claymore thread almost everyday.

NEWER DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN FASTER!

I agree. Not the results at 2000 h/s. And 1500 is not. But to optimize for the new driver can be and will be the stability that is lacking now. In Zcah was an increase from 200 to 240.... So that a stable 800. And I agree - RX480 even weaker than many R9. Really the purpose of issuance, a new generation of energy efficient graphics cards!

hello lads, i am getting  2038 H on 3x RX 480 8GB on 1250/2000. is it ok? in the same time i am getting Error in server response......"low difficulty share" failure msg coming al lthe time. any1 an idea?

my bat

NsGpuCNMiner.exe -o stratum+tcp://xmr-eu.dwarfpool.com:8050 -u poloadress.paymentID.1 -p x -a 4 -h 1024

am i doing smth wrong?

not normal. I have error on start memory clock more than 2,100. In this case, the GPU 1300 MHZ. I Maini on MinerGate

because so many RX noobs joined

And you were exactly one of them. You used your old cards to mine ZEC, and know you dont want other people enjoy full speed XMR?

I'm pretty sure that Claymore can re-write code to support 4xx cards using approach for CDM and ZEC miners.
And we can mine up to 1000H/s per RX 480

At 750 h/s on an RX480, unless i'm mistaken, we're already at the top end of what is achievable while being stable.

unfortunately while((
