recently ripple reached 1 usd and is predicted to go upto 5 usd by the end of next month.
while eth has rose 100usd in the past week and is being quite stable.
ethereum though not as accepted as bitcoin but still can be used unlike ripple.
so my question is whether i should invest in eth or ripple given i may need to take out my money back any time.
You should invest with ripple ( xrp ) because eth is good for trade not invest. XRP even reach $ 1 but I believe is not too high, we can buy it and hold, xrp also has future. Eth is good but from my experience only for trade, not recommended for invest because the price too high. Actually, you can predict with fundamental and technical strategy, search with google to know what it is?. Increase and decrease is just because supply and demand not balance, mostly because news ( speculation ). About this, no one know when it happen but we can protect our asset with stop loss. You can use long time period the predict top and bottom price action to help your fundamental analyze. Try it over and over again until you know how it works, see you next time. |

What is your strategy in trading? When you buy any alt coin how long do you hold and on what percentage you sell it?
My trading strategy is similar like investment, use long time period and martiangle money management. Before buy coin, I have to know coin track record history at least a year before and the volume for today. After that, see where is the third top/ bottom price action to decides stop loss and take profit area. Start buy and hold, mostly 2 - 3 month and take profit. Just like that. |

I suggested you try hitbtc and binance, for me they have good services. Last year ( 2017 ) I use bittrex but has bad experience, so I decides to replace my crypto activity into another exchange. Hitbtc and binance also has good track record, even sometimes got delay, but mostly succeeded. There seem to often be a reason why certain coins go up or down. Here are 3 brief examples:
-The recent relation between Bitcoin Cash's up and the announcement of Coinbase's integration.
-In an article on ccn is mentioned: "The IOTA price, on the other hand, surged 36 percent on the news that Robert Bosch Venture Capital (RBVC) had made a strategic investment in IOTA tokens."
-Also, around the 12th of december Ripple started to rise for days and at that time it could have been predicted because of what was put out in the media.
It seems that on ccn all this information is put after or while it happens. Why does ccn not write an article as soon as the article of Coinbase's integration is put out ?
Can we give each other some tips on how we can stay up to date so that we can invest accordingly and not after (when it's too late) or while (when it's still good but not amazing)?

From your post I think you're fundamental trader/ investor, really good strategy to analyze market. But I'm just technical trader, only use number to make decision about my activity. Depend my experience, most people that use fundamental just like gambling and technical similar with school student. Until now, only experience is the best guide to analyze market, meaning you must keep practice and always fix your strategy. Etherdelta is running a token sale, will you buy it and do you think is worth it. Why don't they focus on security of the website first , People have complained after the website compromised of their stolen tokens and Ethers yet nothing is done, and here they are running a token sale.
Not buy it, too early and not worth ( for now ). I believe Etherdelta only follow ICO's trend but for me Etherdelta is more good and fit as exchange only. Besides that, I see another exchange also running token sale but has bad result. If you decides to buy, you should wait until token sale finish and see what happen. Because at that moment we can see the real price and volume. So, be patience and calm down. |

Nothing happen seriously, it's just temporary and will gone like the wind. As trader/ investor we need to find the right moment to make money and mostly happen end of the year. For people who like challenge this is the right time to make profit because many speculation will come up and go without permission. Keep calm and for safety, never take part trading at the end of the year. |

What would be a better move ? to keep most of my crypto in Exchanges as seems better option. as with the constant flows - green to reds etc.
in order to make gains or min loss, it seems best to trade a red one to green
eg as today i had lots of reds, but to min loss, i took some of my ETH and verge and traded into XRP which mooned and now my gains are way up

Most people will give you advice to keep your crypto on wallet not exchange, more safe I believe. Exchange is only place to trade not to keep, so please fix the mindset. We all know, most people still use MEW as their wallet but safety to protect MEW is needed. So, you can choose any wallet you want but please never keep your crypto ( asset ) in exchange. THis awful exange it's one month I have lost my 2FA key and they still don't solve my probem after having submitted 10k tickets

Just use Bittrex, dealing with this awful exange is a pain in the ass
Until now binance is good for me, any problem with my transaction, their support team always give solutions. I choose binance because bittrex has bad services and until now, I don't know why they change rules so fast. If you lost your key, that's your problem but I believe their support team will give you another way to fix your problem. Maybe they still try to find the problem and soon will give you solutions. Hello I don’t understand I bought for 4000 Eur one hour ago of Ethereum when it was going up, it stayed around the 10-20%, it started to decrease 5 minutes ago so I sold it and now cex.io just gave me 3500eur for it... wtf...  The %came from me watching livecoinwatch.. Cex.io doesn’t have the accurate price ?? Price can change fast than we know and you should check all number before replace your money. Besides that, every exchange has their own rules about fees, price gap and also sensitivity about news. Your take profit too close with open position, analyze again to find the right point. Loss is natural but you should find what the problem and fix it. As trader/ investor we must have knowledge, patience and can accept real market answer. It's just beginning, you should try again with better strategy. |

I think bitcoin is the king, so holding altcoins (even ethereum) is high-risk method right now, if bitcoin hits 25-30K many altcoins will drop 100% at latest, so trading is the safest way for me!

Trading is not that simple and easy way to make money, even only 1% daily. Most people use trading not to make profit but to grow up their fund ( asset ) and replace it at investment way. I lost all my money when I withdrew the coins from yobit.net yesterday. I was told the the process of withdrawing was complete. But the coin did not show up in my wallet.
I left a message on their website searching for the support, no one reply.
The point is, you can deposit your money safely to their platform. You can exchange your money at their platform safely. You have the chance to lost all your money when you withdraw your money.
Any one got into this kind of trouble?

I never use Yobit.net to support my crypto activity but please check again your transaction ( maybe false data ), check your wallet ( maybe delay ) and contact their support team again ( to complain ). It's just temporary trend, will end soon. Real market is just about possibility and every analyze is accepted, but answer is mystery. I know that everyone has different investment strategies such as day trading, hodl, buying icos and so forth...
I am selecting the best icos of every month and then I am investing into 2-3 icos for every month, but I have heard many people complaining abouy buying icos because price tend to get lower when hitting exchange for the first time..
And sometimes I am simply frustrated when hearing shit tons of people saying that buying icos is stupid.. but I guess its not so time consuming as day trading..

My strategy about investment is same like you do, analyze to take coin and hold it until the price comes up. About ICO's, I'm not take part about it, only just try to get free coin ( bounty ) not invest/ trade. ICO is new project/ coin and need more time to survive. I can't invest/ trade if the ICO/ coin have age under 2 years. Just like that, never forget your stop loss and see you next time. |

Did you know that investing $100 on NEO or XEM or LTC or ETH or DOGE or on 33 other altcoins last January 1, 2017 is more profitable than investing on BTC with the same amount and on the same date? If you invested $100 last January 1 on - ETH, you could have made $10889 today

My first choice and always become number one is bitcoin, after that ethereum and xmr. But today's, I have another option, such as dash and adx.
