801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: November 25, 2018, 09:10:30 PM
You can, but you need to be smart not to put all your money on a single game and on a single time.

That is the key if you lose, and you want to recover it.

Also, i saw a lot of people that at the time that they lose, they start to deposit more funds, and they start losing it all .

Yes, its necessary to adopt a good strategy when betting on sports games. In this case there was an upset on the games he bet, and that is part of the margin of error a gambler has to plan before betting, sometimes the unlucky teams unexpectedly win the game and you have to be prepared for this situation, holding an extra bankroll to keep playing and recovering the lost money.

In sports betting, house edge doesn't screw up our game, as we depend the games results, that are decided technically and not only by luck, so I think it's very possible to win in gambling by betting on sports, since a smart strategy is used, like you said, not putting all your money in a single or few games.

Sometimes the house wins, but sometimes, it doesn't.

But yes, most of the times, it is taking people's money when they do not even realize that they lost, maybe sometimes it happens because most of the gamblers just play because of the adrenaline.

It is all related to emotions

802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: November 25, 2018, 09:01:27 PM
It might be true that what people are choosing is their gamble with their lives, but I don't think that in that every turn, it is gambling most of them are inevitable to happen.

When you go to school, that is inevitable since it is a common activity as a child, you must go to school. Studying, planning your career and building your own future, that is inevitable since there will be a lot of things that will happen that will push yourself to do things that will be valuable to you in the future. You work hard, it is inevitable that something will happen either you will be promoted or you will be fired.

Yes and i think that it also depends on the person, and the people that he is usually meeting and talking to.

Maybe the most important thing that makes someone start gambling, are his friends, the family, and how everything is going between both.

803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: November 24, 2018, 04:38:44 PM
Gambling is a game of fun but money makes it more interesting. Gamblers should be more responsible because on every action they do, there’s a consequences. A gambler must have all this thing, so they will be broken at the end of the day.

Of course, and i think that gamblers should pay attention to where are they putting their funds at the time that they are gambling.

It is not something easy to do when you do not understand how the game in where you are putting your funds works.

But, with some experience it gets easier every time
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: November 24, 2018, 04:28:55 PM
Yesterday I watched a video about addiction on youtube: https://youtu.be/ao8L-0nSYzg. It was a real surprise to me that according to recent research people are addicted to drugs mainly because they can't bond well with people and are not able to live a satisfying life. The research shows that when an addicted person appears in a loving and caring environment, the addiction kind of disappears (even heroin addiction). I wonder what are your thoughts on this matter and whether you think you could say the same about gambling addiction.

That is not true at all, you said that people are addicted to drugs because they have problems, but i know people that are using drugs on a daily basis and they are extremely succesfull
.
To make it as an example, they have very good jobs, they earn a bunch of money, they have good relationships, but they take drugs too.

805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 24, 2018, 04:20:57 PM
Why game over? Btc price in 2016 was just $500-600

This.

Also, the prices are stable at the moment, they are going down, but it is not that bad.

If you are smart enough, you would wait a little bit more and try to buy when it goes deeper, that is the best thing that you can actually do.

There is no rush to sell now
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are destroyed, everyone is disappointed on: November 24, 2018, 04:11:48 PM
I am very disappointed to see the price of bitcoin destroyed in recent days, I have lost a lot when I bought bitcoin at a high price, until when this bitcoin price dropped.

It is your fault for buying at very overinflated prices.

I bought a bunch before, too. But i sold when i saw that there was a bearish market coming again, that is the reason of why i am not so depressed about it.

But yes, it sucks to buy high, and i know how it feels

807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Christmas And BTC? on: November 24, 2018, 03:46:41 PM
All sell during xmas. Maybe go up hard again after 10th jan, fk know but i'm expecting a bigger drop then the current 16.9k

Yes, just take as an example what happened on late 2017.

The price touched $20,000 before the 20th of december on 2017, and then it started to drop day by day.

If i am not wrong, it touched less than $15,000 before the 24th of december

808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not be Greedy on: November 23, 2018, 08:03:44 PM
That's the safest strategy in trading. And it has substantial advantages, no doubt. It gives you a nice oppirtunity to get a small constant profit day by day. But most crypto investors crave for something huge Cool
Being greedy does not mean one should not invest or he should not buy coins to store, I think in this practical age all of us should be greedy to save the future of our family, the only greed which can spoil your profit is selling early to get your money and use it, greed is curse but I think making investment calls being responsible so calling an investor as greedy does not make any sense.

Yes but when you have a coin that made a +30% on a day, what are you gonna do? Keep holding it or sell?

Of course that if you sell, that coin is gonna drop later, and will probably lose a 10 - 20 percent, that is the time when you go there and you try to re-buy to make a profit.

809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bakkt postponed to january 2019 on: November 23, 2018, 07:52:28 PM
I belive it was one of the triggers that caused this dump.

If it happened during this year, or the next one, it was gonna be exactly the same for ethereum. So i do not think that it affected it that much.

Remember that not only ethereum was dumped, the same happened to Bitcoin, Litecoin, Stellar, and all the other coins on the market

810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TIPS TO PROFIT DURING A BEARISH MARKET on: November 23, 2018, 07:46:42 PM
If we have prediction the crypto market will turn in to bearish is better quit from the market and short the price in margin trading,  the price of crypto is very high volatility and in bearish market the price can be dumped more than 80%, so in this situation is very hard to have chance to make profit in spot trading. Only by short the price we can make profit.

This.

The only way to make profit on a bear market, is only to buy on a crash. Use marging trading with leverage to short bitcoin or any other coin.

or...

have inside information about coins that are gonna be pumped or something like that

811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How a trader should deal with the stress? on: November 23, 2018, 07:39:15 PM
yes this is what happened with me, very confused and stressed.
trading has no expectations and tokens are down 90% what I should do and HOLD is not a good way. aya start hate HOLD not give change. Huh

Of course, trading is difficult and during the last few months, it has been more and more difficult because of the bear market.

I used to trade a lot, but as soon as i started to realize that all the tokens were losing against BTC, i stopped it for some time

812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Blood everywhere on: November 23, 2018, 07:23:56 PM
"Baron Rothschild, an 18th-century British nobleman and member of the Rothschild banking family, is credited with saying that "the time to buy is when there's blood in the streets." He should know. Rothschild made a fortune buying in the panic that followed the Battle of Waterloo against Napoleon."

Good luck

This guy is incredible, and i think that he has always been one of the most smartest guys that has ever existed on this world.

But take in consideration that crypto is VERY different than what he used to invest into.

Crypto is more speculative than any other shit.. it is like thinking that a paper can have a value of $1000 in two years.

813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: November 18, 2018, 11:46:19 PM
Also, dont forget that most of the teeangers nowadays just want money, that is why they put their hard earned money in gambling sources to get more, and they lose it all.

It is sad, but that is the way that the world works at the moment, and we can not change it.

But what are we gonna do? Just nothing.

Because younger people are much exposed to negative things now compared before. Our culture is also different and the source of information can be acquire anywhere using different types of technology. With this, younger people has more advantage and gambling is the one they have learn through this.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: November 18, 2018, 11:38:51 PM
I've actually had quite some decent success in gambling. But that's probably because I stick to betting on sports that I know absolutely every detail about, and playing PVP games rather than playing against the house. I really wouldn't matter if I became addicted to gambling because I rarely lose, so I would only end up being an extremely rich gambling addict. I guess having an addiction is only a problem when it starts to negative impact your life, like being addicted to dieting or working out.

It also depends on the game that you are playing and you are putting your funds into, also, it depends on your skills & luck, it is all a magic combo.

But it all depends on the site also, and if it is being a fair game or not.

I don't know, maybe it all depends
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On what kind of gambling you got maximum reward from betting? on: November 18, 2018, 11:25:50 PM
I remember that a long time ago, i deposited $40 into a bitcoin casino, i plaid with some funny games and i do not know how it happened.

But i ended up playing on the scratch, and i made a x10 of my investment.

That was pretty funny, if i am not wrong, it was a new game

816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: November 18, 2018, 11:10:29 PM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?

This is no brainer.  If you lose and the money left is just for transportation, definitely I will stop.  Only Gambling addicts will push their games and continue without thinking what will happen in the future.  No matter how fun or exciting the game is, if we are in control of the game, we will definitely stop to make sure that we can go home safely and will returnonce we got a new set of funs for the game.

I saw a lot of stories about people depositing more funds on the casino after losing almost everything, only because they had the hope that they could earn and recover their losses.

obviously that it is impossible, but there are always a bunch of people doing exactly what we think that it's impossible for an average person.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling in the crypto market on: November 18, 2018, 10:53:05 PM
Why do you think so? I think that it is always a good time for making bets, playing on casinos and doing a lot of other stuff related to this.

But i do not get why so many people confuse all this stuff, with the price of bitcoin, because both are very different things.

i am never going to understand that
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does positive thinking affect your edge in gambling on: November 18, 2018, 10:41:52 PM
Some people think that strong feeling affect the outcome of your bet. But for me its all about luck., what do you think guys.

If you understand the maths behind a probably fair system, then you will realize how the things work on the backend, and doesn't matter if you have positive toughs or bad ones. At end is a random number making some crypto hashing and giving a result.

But in other hand we have the attraction law, if you want to understand what i'm talking about you should read the book or watch the movie called "The Secret", here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3isjlvccc0
And that philosophy say that you attract thinks with your mind, if you think in positive things, then you will have positive things in your life, if you have negative or bad toughs all time, then that's what you attract to your life.
i'n my country we say 'You are what you eat', and i'm half agree with that, but you aren't only that, i compose that for, 'You are what you read and what you think'. Think positive will bring you positive results in life.

So, at end i'm not agree about that your thinking affect a bet result, but for sure it affect your day by day in real life.

But it is quite impossible, no one is able to trick casinos unless that you have access to the machines or to the entire system mechanism that is behind the protocol.

That is the only way that all the people that tricked them before, made a fortune.

It is always because of an insider
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friendly advice/warning about gambling in this market on: November 18, 2018, 10:21:43 PM
Thanks for informing us mate, probably even if you won on gambling there's nothing left to be called as profit because the btc could turn against your winning streak.

I will only gamble on fiat for this week or so.

Yeah anyway if you don't trade with large amounts of money you are not even going to feel the volatility that this guy is talking about.

If you gamble with $5, and bitcoin goes down by $1000, those $5 are gonna be $4, that is not a difficult thing to think about also.

820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: November 18, 2018, 10:11:08 PM
In a few weeks ago, I am trying to stay away from gambling, and I can do it although now I come back to the gambling site but not to play, to see if there is a new game to play. But if there is no new game, then I am trying to play dice game which is easy to play for me. But I still trying to not staying for a long time in the gambling site because it's easy for me to try to play the games and lose some money and I don't want it to get lost. I give my greetings to every people that can stay for a long time without gambling.

It is a very difficult to thing to go through, i remember that a few years ago i was always thinking about gambling, and how to make money on it

Now, i do not even think about it, maybe just some times, but nothing more than that.

Gambling is just for fun purposes for me.
