I know Panda is striving to me more than just an investors' coin but the higher the price the more can be done with the Community Chest in terms of bounties, etc. to create world class, cutting edge services, charity, etc. I really hope August 30th isn't just a silly dice game, android wallet or a wallet with a block explorer and a picture of a camel (sorry, I mean a Panda, bad Silkcoin memories ... ).

All this anon, untraceable transactions, POD, with only appeal to the latter. Go ask your neighbor if he would invest in a cryptocurrency with those features. He'll say "crypto..what?"
Assume you have no knowledge of bitcoin or cryptocurrency whatsoever. Somebody tells you about bitcoin. Other than the fact "It might be worth a lot more one day" what reason would you have to buy bitcoin? You can use paypal to order just about everything and every fee for your purchases are charged to the seller. Why should you use bitcoin? Because it's supposely untracable? That sounds illegal. How can you even get bitcoin? What, there is no official seller of bitcoin? I have to buy from a sellers personal stash? That sounds sketchy. If there's no chargeback how is it safe? How won't I get scammed?
Whenever you talk about bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general to people who know nothing about it, these are the kind of thoughts that they are thinking. What if it sounded totally safe and easy to buy/sell PND and have an incentive to use it over paypal or normal money? If we can eliminate these barriers a whole new audience is avaliable. This size of this audience will extend past the audience this website has and we will have more potential buyers than if we stuck to targeting the people of this website.

Panda needs Anon transactions, encrypted SMS messaging and the ability to send Pandacoins over SMS. These features are actually kind of stupid but to be a top altcoin they are a requirement even if they will never actually be used; this is the same principal under which all new cars have AM radio: never used but a car without it won't sell. Also is Panda going to try and get listed on Bittrex? That's where all the cool kids play these days. Mintpal seems like a sinking ship. How I stake PND  You stake them with a green ball and an unsocial panda? It's always a very good feeling to wake up and see how many stakes you got overnight. The good thing about Pandacoin is also that it's a realistic percentage, 2,5% is nice, not too high, not too low. Higher and the inflation will be quite a lot. And you don't have to do anything for it, just keep your wallet unlocked for staking and you receive 2,5% interest per year! |

I am confused, is this the real Pandacoiun?
It's not the first Pandacoin. The original one was a scam made by Wolong, so this legit Pandacoin was created as a way to stop people from investing in the scammy one (which was dumped hard soon after, and is now worth nothing). Is Wolong also behind this coin? No, in no way. Quite the opposite, this coin was created as a fair alternative to stop people investing in the scammy one he created. Later we developped this coin further, went POS and now we will have a couple of new features which will be released on the 30th of August. This is one of the few really fair coins. No premine, no fastmine, no instamine, no IPO, no halving, 3 months PoW after it went full PoS in May. |
