801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 20MB Fork on: January 30, 2015, 10:24:21 PM

[...] all the big boys need to just agree on the hardfork and do this, the sheep will follow the lions.
802  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin "stabilize" at more, or less than the current price? on: January 30, 2015, 10:10:08 PM
topic needs to go to speculation section

Bitcoin isn't deflationary and all that gibberish about gold is hype right now and nothing else
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Negativity about bitcoin is all time high! on: January 30, 2015, 10:04:27 PM
just see the negativity around bitcoin right now!

Much of it is due to the continuing price crash and just look at the news around, reddit abandons its plans for cryptocurrency integration..

soon Microsoft and others will take a step back too.
Paypal will not integrate.
ETF will not happen.

Be prepared for it.

Next time try with something that can hold the value.

The world will use Cryptocurrency in the future but it won't be Bitcoin.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would Make People Gain Much More Interest in Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2015, 03:03:01 PM

What do you think bitcoin needs for the major interest worldwide?

one word: profit

When people can make profit, they'll run for it. When it's unprofitable like last year they don't care. Nobody is interested in loosing investements.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: The towel is in the ring. on: January 13, 2015, 05:19:14 AM
selloff accelerating. Now exponentially going down.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Calling the Bottom on: January 13, 2015, 05:16:18 AM
hahaha this retarded bull-idiots bitcoin worshippers

Your coin is an inflationary MESS and will never see a new ATH

It's not half as advanced as most alts. It's image is tarnished. Get out now people!

You have been falling for the hype of these bulltards people and handed your money to them. But they are all full of shit and will continue to tell you to buy their shit from them.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are killing bitcoin on: January 13, 2015, 04:56:04 AM
Miners are just keeping the price down until next halving.

brilliant design for a coins' economic fundamentals, isn't it?

The ball is at the altcoins court now.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are killing bitcoin on: January 13, 2015, 04:17:21 AM
No. False design. Inflation. Miners can't change the number of coins they mine, not their fault at all.

You are a god damn fool.

These corporations are setting up shop pumping out more bitcoin than they even have a demand for.

you  are the fool for not knowing more hashrate doesn't produce more coins. The inflation of 3600 coins every 24hours is a hard number and does only change every 4 years. Hashrate has nothing to do with the emission.

Bitcoins design is faulty from economic standpoint. Logical mistakes in it. Inflation kills it.

While the coin generation is slower than before because of halving.  I think he does have a point though - in the past, individual miners mine the coin - quite a lot of them keep the coins.  Now, corporation is mining the coin, but they are dumping it.

miners need to be able to sell their coins. Why mine otherwise?

Miners do wield too much power in the market this late in the game. But it's not their fault for selling what they produce. The fault is inherent to bitcoins' high emission of new coins.

Miners should not be such a great force in the market to not drag the price down but in bitcoin they are that's why it always will drop back down. Bitcoin isn't scarce at all so it has not much value. It's a totally overhyped coin.

811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork off on: January 13, 2015, 01:07:06 AM

There should be a small fork before the next block reward halving, maybe raise the size limit to 1.5MB just to hold the hands of the crybabies. Then after the halving, raise it to 25MB. I don't understand the reluctance of upgrading. When Bitcoin came out most people were still using Windows XP. All they're doing is changing a number FFS!

what's a 'small fork'? Something like 'a little pregnant'?
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign to BOYCOTT BITCOIN! on: January 13, 2015, 12:53:57 AM
thank god it crashes right now. Good riddance.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign to BOYCOTT BITCOIN! on: January 13, 2015, 12:39:50 AM

Bitcoin's advantage over altcoins, and it definitely is the top coin as it currently has the greatest market cap, is the network effect. BTC is lightyear's ahead of alts in this respect. Maybe it will continue development *counterparty* and remain like the top coin (which is what m to be happening now - it doesn't have to innovate as fast as alts, it just has to remain the most attractive coin), or maybe something will eventually replace it. Why do you think it needs to be boycotted?

Probably because of its toxicity, delusions of grandeur, fraudulent marketing, unability to be a store of value.

If you do not openly boycott it nothing will change and they keep trashtalking alts. We need other basecurrencies for trading, fully agree. Bitcoin had its time. It was fun and all but now it is time for it to step down and give way to innovation and a healthy industry.

it suppresses progression and innovation in other cryptos, it's like a fat guy getting passed by a more fit person trying to hold him not letting him pass. Mjority of Bitcoin fans do the same by trying to talk shit on other projects attempting to not let them pass by, even if that project offers a real purpose and innovation, they get butthurt because its not bitcoin.

nails it

815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BTCtalkcoin [TALK] - Pure POS - Multipool Ready! - AirDrop Has Arrived on: January 01, 2015, 11:55:50 AM

but now we can sort that out at alcurex!
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin (XPY) is scam on: January 01, 2015, 11:48:54 AM
lol
as if that wasn't to be expected from the very first minute.

I only needed to know:
does not make an ANN at btctalk

why would they do that? Because they fear being ripped apart by people and asked a lot of questions they don't want to answer?

Same reason i will not touch Bitshares ever.

A coin that doesn't ann here out of fear to have to deal with the "trolls and fudders" is not a strong product and likely has something to hide. We have seen time and times again so called "fudders and trolls" expose scams for what  they are.
So a coin not announced here can't get any respect.

Launching in an envirnonment where you control the conversation (own forum) and kick out everyone with some questions or doubts and same time NOT making an ANN here is a red flag.

We have 2 exchange listings Smiley  plus 2 block explorers ... like to get at least 10 permanent nodes.  If a nice person could get some price quotes I'd be happy Smiley   right now I have one node service I am looking at but nice to know the other guys rates.

... also bootstraps if you like to speedup the downloading of the blockchain.

where is BCC listed? On cryptorush maybe but that market isn't active or is it?

my rates are: selling for 200 satoshi right now, buying for 5 satoshi  Kiss

what are other peoples rates?
818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Bastards on: January 01, 2015, 08:23:59 AM

This will all end in tears?

possible.  I think so because i know also 99,9% of people miss the point.

More complexity is not better - less complexity is.
It's a money-token not a computergame. Security and sustainablity is priority #1 - if that's not the case and something else becomes #1 priority it can end in tears, yes.
819  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Bastards on: January 01, 2015, 07:48:47 AM

I think sidechains will be the death of altcoins mostly. But my point was actually about Bitcoin. In a round about way...

the truth is:
many alts are advanced over bitcoin in many different ways

sidechains will not change that. Sidechains will just lead to a gigantic blockchain bloat and will seal the fate of bitcoin because they will create numerous problems and only little benefit. Sidechains are the last desperate try for bitcoin to stay relevant compared to alts.
Fact is: evolution keeps going on

one of bitcoins big problems is: it's open for spam and spam in the blockchain can cause serious trouble. Even satoshi said that.
Bitcoins big problem is vulnerability to spam and the problem with blockchain bloat. Both this major problems will be made worse with sidechains.

Sidechains will create a host of problems and provide only little benefit. In no way will they end alts - they are more likely to end bitcoin if they were implemented.

All they provide is another attack vector for malicious participants.
Increased complexity will increase the risk of fatal problems.
I'd expect for sidechains to take the life out of bitcoin sooner or later.
820  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many on: January 01, 2015, 07:12:10 AM
bitcoin is a miners scam

Only people making money in this:

-scammers
-early adopters
-miners
-exchange operators
-only the best traders

and nobody else.
