Started using litecoin today, will check this out.

It is currently devoid of life.

It is actively mined, from what I've been reading in the Litecoin forum.

And actively traded on BTC-E and Vircurex.

Has Coblee given up the ghost on LTC?
I didn't mean LTC, I meant this board.

That would be great tiker.

Also, unless Vircurex picks it up, Tenebrix and Fairbrix are about to lose there only exchange.

CoiledCoin client zipped up...

www.funkymonkey.org/coiledcoin.zip

Let me know when you've got it.

Thanks.

I got it.  Thanks a ton.

Sending you 1000 Geistgeld to say thank you.  Tongue

I've got the CLC windows client and source I could zip up and post some where for you if no one else has a download already available for it.

Does anyone know where I can get a SC1 client?  I'm building a multi-coin block chain viewer (using Abe) and will add SC1 if I can find a client.

That would be great tiker.

Also, unless Vircurex picks it up, Tenebrix and Fairbrix are about to lose there only exchange.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Cryptocurrencies? on: February 04, 2012, 03:48:15 AM
In the case of CLC you could, you just have to pay a 100 CLC transaction fee.  In the case of other ones, you may have to start two nodes (if you are the only one) and mine them yourself if you want to process a transaction.

Cool, thanks.  Do you know where I could get the client?  and are you looking to selling some for really really cheap?

You could go to btc-e.com and see which ones have lost substantial value.
All the ones that fell off of btc-e are still on Vircurex.com other then CLC.  If you need a Vircurex.com referral code: 582-435  Wink

Hey, I was wonder if anyone had a list failed Cryptocurrencies?
I know about Coiledcoin, but is there any other coins out there with no exchange and no pools?
Also,  Can you still keep a wallet of these?  Example, Could a still open a wallet with Coiledcoin in it and send it to another wallet?

Any help would rock.

I vote A and you sir, go to great lengths to prove yourself a fair giver of free money.
809  Other / Off-topic / Re: I little website help. on: January 30, 2012, 06:12:25 PM
I am looking to build a website.  Something simple.  But I have a few questions:

What is the best site register the domains? price is important, I used Godaddy before but I want to stay away from them.

What development program should I use?  I used Dreamweaver before but that was 10 years ago.

Is there any good free or cheap hosting sites that are easy to use?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Since your not using GoDaddy, somebody else will suggest a better choice in that regards.

Here's what I can do for you. If you have the site hosted at HostGator and use Wordpress as your Content Management System (CMS), I can always help you when you get into a snag--pro bono. HostGator is very easy to use, as well as Wordpress. You'll be at about $8 a month. You something cheaper, I'm sure it's available, but remember you'll get what you pay for. Go with my idea, and I'm helping you with the support.

Take a look at http://bitcoin100.org/ and see how clean of site you can get with what I've offered up.

~Bruno~

Thanks Bruno, That site does look great!  I think I may take you up on your offer.  I am a busy dad, so it's going to take me a while to get my ideas on to a site, but it is nice to know I won't have to go it alone.

Also, thanks for advice from everyone.

I used to play Quakelive (Quake 3).  I was tier 4, which means good but not close to tournament good.
812  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which one (aka I want to give you 1 free Bitcoin)? on: January 26, 2012, 10:54:34 PM
I rather A

But, like stated earlier, I think A with a blue T would be best.  Grin
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If any one needs a Vircurex.com Referal Code on: January 26, 2012, 08:54:38 PM
I know when I signed up at Vircurex.com I had trouble finding a code.  With a referal code you save 0.05% per trade.  Anyway, If you need one, the code is: 260-146
Also a referal link: https://vircurex.com/register?referral_id=260-146

If you like trading Altcoins, it does offer more options and coins then any other site.

816  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Digg/Reddit like clone where voting is based on bitcoins on: January 24, 2012, 01:24:47 AM
Great idea.  But I think due to the high price of Bitcoin you may need to add one more 0 so more like: 0.0001 and your take waaaaay to high.  I wouldn't use this service unless your take was less then 10%.  Also,  This would be a great use of an Altcoin.  Could be VoteCoin.

Just my 2 Bitcents  Grin

It actually takes in any decimal value, and uses that for sorting. The 0.001 is just for display convenience. Also, with the normal fee for transactions something around 0.0005, it seemed to be the most reasonable amount.

Also 0.001BTC = $0.0062 so it about half a penny.

The transaction fee is a big issue when dealing micro transactions.  I think that is why this is the perfect use for an altcoin.

LQC trading on https://vircurex.com activated.
Yay! Ah, the joy of not knowing whether to buy or sell...

I think if vircurex.com or any other altcoin exchange would build a user friendly interface similar to BTC-E.com, they could make a killing.  In fact, I would love to see a site make am LTC to (low value Altcoin) exchange.  I think it would really be a boon for LTC.  They could Offer: BTC/LTC,
LTC/LQC, LTC/IXC, LTC/I0C, LTC/DVC.  I have lost my train of thought haha.
Vircurex allows LTC/BTC, LTC/IXC, LTC/I0C, etc...
They even allow such exchanges as DVC/I0C; it's just that nobody makes use of the ability to do so.
The trouble is the Vircurex looks like crap.  The reason people use BTC-E.com is that it is easy and the interface works well.
