801  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC fall below $30,000? The high-yield risk opportunities are in MEME? on: July 18, 2021, 10:44:44 AM
Bitcoin doesn't have any physical support, so we can't tell for sure its fair price like in cases with shares in stock market, for example, when we can calculate the real price according to profit and company's assets. I mean that Bitcoin's price can be on any level for which people are willing to buy it.

Talking about meme coins, they will not grow if bitcoin doesn't, as altcoins always follow Bitcoin's trends, so if you are an investor, don't hesitate to invest in fundamental currencies like bitcoin, Ethereum etc.
Well, there is a "small" thing that we can calculate the price of bitcoin and what it is based on, which is not really a huge deal but I can say that it is definitely something people could use for calculating a base number. That is the cost of miners, which changes a lot so there is really no real thing, we could go under what the cost is but the price of a stock could go under what it should based on numbers as well.

So overall I would say that whatever 1 bitcoin costs for a miner to mine could be the base price of bitcoin, if it goes under that number then the price of bitcoin is undervalued at that time, and if it goes too higher up then it is overvalued. However I agree that it is not really a healthy calculation because in crypto the cost of a miners work changes daily because the more machines that starts the harder it gets and the more machines closes up the easier it gets.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding and taking profits on: July 17, 2021, 08:45:53 PM
Holding certainly takes a long time to make a profit, and this is done for those who have more money, but with daily trading we can make big profits, there is definitely no guarantee that everyone can trade or hold depending on financial capacity.
I do not have a lot of money but I still use the waiting method because it is a lot less risky to do that. It is basically something that we could all do if we want to because it is not something that takes any power, all you have to do is basically nothing. So at the end of the day it doesn't require to have a big capital, it only requires you to do able to do nothing at all for a very long time, and as long as you are capable of doing that, then you are going to end up being happy about the results.

This is crypto and in the end it always goes up, I am 100% certain that everything will break their own ATH eventually, we will see bitcoin at 100k+, we will see eth at 20k+, we will see bnb at 5k+ they will all reach those prices, will it be now? Of course not, but it will eventually happen and that is all I care about, as long as we can see it happening in the future then I can wait.
803  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 17, 2021, 08:05:43 PM
Brazillian again and finally one of them is using crypto instead of their local fiat currency BRL and I have to congratulate him Smiley
He predicted correctly some live matches that raised his odds a lot and maybe he knows situation in their clubs much better.
Yeah, watching others bet with crypto is way better than fiat currencies because although it's a gambler's choice but sportsbet.io was among the first few crypto sportsbooks and I prefer people play with crypto.

This guy could be just another lucky guy that happened to win. It isnt that rare for some player to pop up once in a while and win some huge amount like this. Besides that Sportsbet probably have alot of those Brazillian customers that always bet on these kind of crazy parlay slips and then one of them just happened to hit and win it
It might be that they are making lots of such bets which ultimately means they win one of them every once in a while.

I am waiting for the dota2 International tournament to start because I am feeling lonely with no good dota2 matches all day.
804  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial freedom and success comes from knowledge on: July 17, 2021, 06:32:36 PM
No strategy works better than understanding the market, know when to buy and sell when it comes to crypto investment, if you fail to take advantage of the high price and rather hodl for whatever weird reason it will cost you the opportunity to multiply your stash, sell at the right time and buy back when necessary is the way I see anyone growing their investment, I have learnt this past few weeks.
Although what you are saying might be true, it's completely pointless in the current discussion because as a trader you would never have financial freedom because a trader is similar to a daily wager worker who needs to work to feed his family.

At a young age, a person must learn how to handle finances. Must know how to save for the future. Invest to make money grow. Set goals to achieve it. Avoid debts.
That's why I strongly feel schools must have something in the course that teaches kids about economics and what are the advantages of managing your financial status. What are the problems that come with loans and when one should take a loan.

Everyone is chasing money right not but the one who gathers the most knowledge is the one who has evolved the most, according to me.
805  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies replace fiat currencies on: July 17, 2021, 04:09:03 PM
When digitalisation are fully developed and all transaction could be paid online, I don't see why fiat cant be replaced by digital money. I could see a future where physical money are not needed no more. More advance payment method are built and in the next 100 years, I could see humanity being away from fiats. The reasons are resources. Resources to make fiats and more likely depleted that time and the universal solutions is to have a more sustainable, secure and regulated cryptocurrency.
You are confusing fiat with paper money. When someone asks can crypto replace fiat, they are not asking whether digital payments will overtake manual and physical transactions because of course moving forward digitalization is going to happen but digital fiat and crypto are two different things.

My opinion on the matter is:
Will digital transactions take over physical paper-money-based transactions? Yes, they will at some point.

Will crypto replace fiat? No, as much as I like the theory, I cannot imagine a world without banks, and crypto is meant to kill banks.
806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: forex trading vs cripto trading on: July 15, 2021, 04:20:52 PM
Analysis of new coins is more suitable for long-term trading. For short-term trading, time-tested bitcoin and ethereum are more suitable. These are the coins that have very high liquidity and volatility. It is very risky to invest in new unknown coins.
That's correct but I must say the pairs for solid coins are so stable that it is hard to actually make money right now trading them plus the movement is random as well. You are right though, that we cannot invest in new coins just for their price and the only way to earn from these new tokens and projects is by investing in the early stage if we analyzed and find the project useful.

Because of the decentralized nature of cryptos, anyone can make their own project and enter the market which means the market for cryptos will never get saturated but at the same time, the risk of investing in a scam always exists.

People who are slow-paced traders shall move to forex or trade within known coins if they want to trade in crypto while sharp and opportunistic traders with low capital shall look for high paying new projects because they don't have much to lose but everything to gain.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your thoughts for half year on: July 15, 2021, 06:56:20 AM
I believe that this year 2021 is really a year for cryptocurrency and it is proven because we have seen the exponential increased of bitcoin's price by the start of the year and so even altcoins. Now even the market is suffering from price correction like bitcoin and other altcoins but there are also altcoins that not that new but making name today especially those altcoins used in the nft game that is incredibly hitting a high value today. I believe that the market will recover since we are still 6 months away before the year ends.
The great thing is that even while the price is doing so bad currently, it is still so much great in the long term because we were near 10k level even in the "good" days of 2020 first half (and even 4k at the lowest but for a short period) so it is really not something that we should be sad about having 33k dollars in crypto. At the end of the day bitcoin is a volatile thing and that is why I am very joyful for the future of bitcoin as well, who cares that we dropped?

As long as we increased a lot for the past 1 year then it is really great. So, what we should be doing right now is to have bitcoin to stay like this and not drop to 10k levels and I would be still happy about it. So just focus on the "not dropping" part and not focus on the increase part. I get that people want that 60k back, but as long as we are 30k+ that is good enough for me.
808  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: July 14, 2021, 06:56:14 PM
I have been a day trader but want to know if it’s a good idea to hold bitcoin for long, whether it will be more profitable?
I do not think that there is a correct answer. For some people both of them are good, for some people both of them are bad, for some people one of them is good and the other is bad, and that's why there is no good answer. Luckily I am good with investing, not that I do anything really I just buy bitcoin when I save some money aside, and that's it, that's literally it I don't do anything else, I do invest into other stuff as well, I have some eth and bnb too, and small amount like 50 bucks for few other places too but that's about it.

I believe there is a good chance I could be getting richer purely by luck because I rarely do anything really. However I am horrible at trading, I could literally lose money when things are going up, no idea how. So at the end of the day I picked what's right for me, but this could be impossible for you and can do something I believe impossible to do, it's all just personal.
809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Manipulation Logic? on: July 14, 2021, 06:07:18 PM
I don't consider myself a cryptocurrency expert, but I also noticed that there is some manipulation of cryptocurrency prices going on. In my opinion, this can happen for several reasons, for example, in order to raise the price of BTC even higher. We know that the price of cryptocurrencies cannot constantly grow, and in order to promote growth, you need to periodically lower the price, for example, for BTC, and thereby, as it were, showing that the price is lower than it was before, but this will soon change and the price will go even higher. This scheme is already working and successful, and I believe that it was thanks to it that BTC was able to reach the price of $ 60,000 and this is not the limit.
Unfortunately that is true in everything at life. I have seen even the food become that way, I have seen cities become that way, I have seen products be that way, it is seriously like that for most things in life. For example once upon a time in history I owned a shop, it wasn't really a big thing, but 20% of the products I sold were the 80% of my income and kept getting sold, and then 80% of the other products were the 20% of the income, it was a few 3-5% different but close to that. Life has so many 80-20 rule that you wouldn't believe it.

At the end of the day just focus on what you can do with this information and in your regular life you will pick up these things and realize them early on and end up making profit that way. I personally try to see that in everything, in trading as well and in investing mainly and it helped me a lot, that is why 80% of my money is in 20% of my portfolio whereas 20% of my money is in 20% of my portfolio.
810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRANSACTION MINING and TRADING - Can we anticipate a price dump or pump ? on: July 14, 2021, 09:56:50 AM
Alice wants to send to an external wallet 1000 BTC .
This information is available for all before the transaction is validated by miners.
Can we anticipate a DUMP just by looking at the transaction block and before it comes validated ( or invalidated ) ??
I think most people don’t even check all these things that you’re talking about. For sure I do know that there are people who make use of some apps that notifies them of whale movements in the market, but most of the times you’re going to get that notification on huge transactions, nothing actually happens after that. Big funds are constantly being moved around on the blockchain, but things still stay balanced.

So, I cannot give you a sure answer on this, but I do know sometimes they can have an effect on the market to an extent. Why they will hardly affect the market now is because the market is huge this time, and I think you need something more than 1000 BTC to make every body start hitting the sell button.
811  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is cryptocurrency bullish in the long-term on: July 13, 2021, 02:55:18 PM
Buffett said, never depend on single income, make investment to create a second source.
Investment is very important, and now more and more young people like to invest in cryptocurrency. Why are they so optimistic about the crypto market and how do they analyze and profit from it?
Predicting cryptocurrency can be very difficult, because the market is volatile. And it is not like other assets that are controlled by the government , it is totally on its own and is influenced by the buying and selling (demand and supply) in the market.

But that’s not to say that you can’t go through technical and fundamental analysis when you want to predict the market, but it can be wrong a lot of times, because any event can take place and bring a change that is totally different from what you have thought would happen. So being a trader or investor in the cryptocurrency market requires a lot of hard work and being up to date.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: Vietnam Becomes Latest Country to Turn to Crypto on: July 13, 2021, 12:16:42 PM
According to a July 4 report by The Phnom Penh Post, Vietnam's Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on the country's central bank to pilot a blockchain-based cryptocurrency over the next two years. Set up.
The initiative is part of the Prime Minister's e-government development strategy.
Chineh, the 62-year-old leader of the country's main communist party, called digital money "an inevitable trend." Apart from crypto, Vietnam will also focus on implementing such advanced technologies as big data, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality.
In May, the Vietnam Ministry of Finance set up a research team tasked with reviewing cryptocurrency regulations.
Earlier in 2017, Vietnam imposed a ban on Bitcoin payments.
So they also want to create their own cryptocurrency? Well, not bad. But I do wonder why countries wants to own their own cryptocurrency. China has created their own cryptocurrency and because of that they have banned bitcoin, as a way to bolster the use of their own cryptocurrency which is the digital Yuan.

So, I wouldn’t be surprised that if other countries should develop their own cryptocurrencies that they are also going to do the same thing that this china has done, because they will also want a huge adoption for their cryptocurrency as well.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 13, 2021, 11:14:28 AM
- you invest so that your money works for you. Even if you cannot drop your job, you can still live a bit better with extra income.
- Investing is sacrificing something today to get something tomorrow. This is just a definition. You save x today because you want 2x tomorrow or in year or whenever.
- The first step to invest is saving part of your income. No savings, no future.
- If you have credits unpaid (other than mortgages or other asset backed credits), you pay those first because they charge you a lot.
Sure, there is no way that you can start investing when you don’t even have savings. So people who say that are absolutely right for saying. Before you start investing you need to have enough savings in your account, and from there you can take out money and start your investing.

Next, before you talk about investing with your savings, it would be really important that you have cleared out your debts just like the op has said. That’s totally right, because if you don’t pay your debt, you’re just going to have them sucking up every profit you make later on.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will El Salvador become the "Home of Bitcoin"? on: July 13, 2021, 09:11:47 AM
El Salvador is now the first country in the world to embrace Bitcoin as legal tender. This is good news for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, because it increases mainstream adoption and demand like skyrocket. China's recent crackdown on Bitcoin, could force miners to move to other countries with a friendly stance towards it. El Salvador could see an increase in miner's interest as China and other restrictive countries lose luster in the world of crypto. Of course, the impact won't be that much because El Salvador is a third-world country. Yet, it's something better than nothing.
Probably cryptocurrency businesses might be moving their companies to over there because Bitcoin was declared a legal tender. I think before any company decides to move to that place, they will have to be considering a lot of things and whether the environment and relocation to that place is going to favor them. So it’s not going to be that easy. Maybe they can just decide to open another office in that location, if they want to.

Anyways, it’s a good thing that El Salvador declared Bitcoin a legal tender. The reason why it’s not a big news in the cryptocurrency space is because it’s just a small country. But I believe this might inspire other countries that wants to do the same to go ahead with it.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin security in the long term on: July 13, 2021, 08:48:12 AM
When Bitcoin gets to a stage where the mined supply is basically 21m (that is, very little remaining btc left to be mined), will Bitcoin still remain a secure network?
If you keep looking at all these things, then you’re sure going to drop out before that time comes, because you will discouraged. There are always a disadvantage to things, and there are also the advantages.

Moreover what you’re talking about now is something that is going to happen in many years to come, I believe before that time comes we are going to see a way to get around this, there’s going to be a solution for sure. And also when that time comes, the system will change and miners are going to be benefiting through transaction fees. There will likely be lots of people using cryptocurrency for transactions by then.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 12, 2021, 08:42:18 PM
It's been really a boring weekend as we haven't had any race this time. I was really accustomed to it after seeing 3 races in 3 weeks in a row. But this week, we're finally going to have a race in Britain. And it's going to be a little different from the other races so far. Because we're going to see the sprint qualifying for the first time. I'm really excited about it. I believe that it will increase the joy level for the spectators and they will continue to add this format to some races. And maybe, they will start adding it to every race after a point.
Yes, this will really be a new word in the long-established Formula 1 racing system and it will be interesting to see how all this will look and whether the innovation will take root in the racing calendar, because the innovation also has opponents, such as the head of the Mercedes team. Also, Lewis Hamilton expressed his skeptical attitude, who is not sure that the spectacle will be exciting and there will be a large number of overtaking. However, you should not rush to evaluate in advance and preliminary conclusions can be made only when it finally takes place. In the end, everything is done for the sake of the audience and the opinion of the audience will certainly be decisive.
The weird thing about sports is that unless it keeps improving people eventually stop watching, and if you try to improve and make a mistake then you are going to end up with losing a lot of viewers as well. At the end of the day we are talking about something that is very risky, this could end up being liked very much and getting their viewer numbers higher and be loved by the teams the drivers the fans everyone, or it could be something that is hated by everyone and there is no way back but to admit they were wrong.

So, that is why I think these "tests" are good but they need to test it many many times before they decide on something, ask each team and driver, see their viewership of these type of qualify and see the old one and do one that and one that in cycles to see which one gets more views. That is why it is really not that easy to decide, it will take time, or at least should take time.
817  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Sportsbook is ON 🏟️ Advanced Dice Game 🎲 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: July 12, 2021, 08:05:37 PM
Take a look at this table.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.0

Wolf.bet literally charges the 3rd highest BTC withdrawal fee in the list.

I understand your point of view and I do agree with it to some extent, but I am strictly against the high BTC withdrawal fee since some competitors charge zero BTC withdrawal fee while some charge a couple of dollars. Let's just agree to disagree.
That is why it is definitely A LOT more important to gamble with other coins here, because BTC is even harder here, the withdrawal fee is worse than most other major places and that is just means that playing with BTC here while knowing you are paying one of the biggest costs just means that you literally hate other altcoins, there is no other explanation.

I am not defending wolf.bet here, of course they should drop their bitcoin withdrawal fee, hell make it free if you can because as gamblers why wouldn't we prefer that, however if they are not doing that then why should you still keep on paying that much? Like you have to be fixated on bitcoin so much that you should even ignore the very existence of any other coin in order to keep paying this very high withdrawal fee nearly no other place charges and not gamble with the altcoins that are nearly free compared to it.
I think the point for people is that even if there are other coins that could be played, they still prefer bitcoin to be cheap, because why not? At the end of the day even if there are coins that could be free to withdraw and deposit, this is not an excuse for bitcoin to be one of the most expensive ones in the world. Pressure the casino to drop the bitcoin price to a normal place so that it would be fair to people who will play with bitcoin but also just handle it in a way that it would show the world that wolf.bet is not an expensive one and all of those will be easier.

I mean it is definitely not a horrible idea to have wolf.bet do a marketing campaign as having cheapest bitcoin withdrawal fee and minimum withdrawal, that is just what they could do to get some more attention. Otherwise if we just moved to altcoins at every time a place charges high for bitcoin then we are just letting them take the charge and that is just not what customers do.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you decide to invest in for the long-term? on: July 12, 2021, 06:24:33 PM
I am a newbie who has just entered the currency circle, and I am very interested in the crypto market.
I want to try to buy some coins, but now I lack the analysis and judgment of the crypto market. Which cryptocurrency is more valuable and has appreciation potential?
You'll have to decide it for yourself. We have some experienced to tell like coins that we have chosen for long term investment but this will just give you confusions because we have a lot to tell.

Just a piece of advice, choose wisely. DYOR and consider those coins that have a good trading volume and on the top List in CMC. Any potential goin is worth to hold because cryptocurrency may flactuate any time that will give you some profits in time.
I would say that learning form others matters a bit as well. Like for example read what people do prefer, and then make your own research afterwards, because if there is nobody suggesting a coin then there is usually no need to go check that out neither. Of course we are a small sample here and we should not be looking into that, but at the end of the day if we are looking to make some money then we should ask this question everywhere we find, even check what people invest in other places as well, twitter and reddit is a good example.

After you see which coins are so hyped by people, then you do what you say, you pick your own coin because what everyone else says doesn't matter, they may suggest bad coins, but nobody will not suggest good coins neither, pick the good ones among the bad ones and you will end up profiting from it in the long run.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 12, 2021, 05:48:50 PM
Yes.
It's already affecting your mental health and instead of taking time for you to rest, you're thinking of what's the next step that you must as you gamble.
Is it happening to you OP?
This is true, this is the design when you can now call yourself an addict, you dont have time to rest anymore because of thinking and focused on gambling only, dont be like that there are so many things worthier do than focusing on gambling, you will just lose your money and social life on that.
It is quite simple to see that "there are better things to do" but when you are suffering from an addiction you don't have the mental stability to realize and follow such advice. You just feel like avoiding everything and just gamble whenever you get the time and get any funds from anywhere. I guess we all have seen a gambling addict in real life or online world and you must have observed their end goal of life is just to gamble, sometimes even if they get a bonus salary or something they won't be as delighted as they are from gambling winnings.

Gambling is meant for fun but once that fun becomes the only activity that satisfied you, it is a problem. It is wisely said that engage yourself in multiple things and don't let a single activity occupy you completely.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 11, 2021, 06:16:07 PM
A few friends from Scotland and Australia are sending their real photos of houses and suburbs where there is only one flag catching the wind: that is the Italian flag. England is not really loved outside their country it seems as these memes are showing.
Anyway, Sunday July 11 is a date that Italians will hardly forget. Italy woke up today ready to experience a special day. At 3 pm there will be the Wimbledon final between Djokovic and Berrettini, the first Italian in history to play for the title in the prestigious English tournament. At 9 pm, Mancini's national team challenges England in the Euro 2020 final.
I have expressed my prediction already, biased of course being an Italian, but I believe Italy is far superior compared to England and hopefully it will demonstrate it on the pitch.
Final result of the game is going to be either 2-1 or 3-1 for Italy. I put the money on the line for this epic game.
Maybe... JUST maybe... It is because they overthrown governments all around the world, from nearly to Japan to other side of the world USA they attacked everywhere, colonized wherever they can, abused, raped, pillaged, killed people in 6 different continents of the world, and caused hate for centuries? I mean think about it at the bottom they destroyed South Africa and did things that would be disgusting to see let alone do, then to the east India and Hong Kong, to the southeast Australia, to west USA and Canada.

This is nearly the whole world map and UK as a small island nation ended up doing this that would make you sick just to watch let alone do. That could be a reason for everyone to hate them? Don't get me wrong Italy is not some cute nation neither, and would have probably done what UK did if they could, but they were never that big so even if they were bad in history, they were never that powerful (aside from roman empire which people do not see as just Italian but as western) so it is understandable.
