It's been really a boring weekend as we haven't had any race this time. I was really accustomed to it after seeing 3 races in 3 weeks in a row. But this week, we're finally going to have a race in Britain. And it's going to be a little different from the other races so far. Because we're going to see the sprint qualifying for the first time. I'm really excited about it. I believe that it will increase the joy level for the spectators and they will continue to add this format to some races. And maybe, they will start adding it to every race after a point.
Yes, this will really be a new word in the long-established Formula 1 racing system and it will be interesting to see how all this will look and whether the innovation will take root in the racing calendar, because the innovation also has opponents, such as the head of the Mercedes team. Also, Lewis Hamilton expressed his skeptical attitude, who is not sure that the spectacle will be exciting and there will be a large number of overtaking. However, you should not rush to evaluate in advance and preliminary conclusions can be made only when it finally takes place. In the end, everything is done for the sake of the audience and the opinion of the audience will certainly be decisive. The weird thing about sports is that unless it keeps improving people eventually stop watching, and if you try to improve and make a mistake then you are going to end up with losing a lot of viewers as well. At the end of the day we are talking about something that is very risky, this could end up being liked very much and getting their viewer numbers higher and be loved by the teams the drivers the fans everyone, or it could be something that is hated by everyone and there is no way back but to admit they were wrong. So, that is why I think these "tests" are good but they need to test it many many times before they decide on something, ask each team and driver, see their viewership of these type of qualify and see the old one and do one that and one that in cycles to see which one gets more views. That is why it is really not that easy to decide, it will take time, or at least should take time.

We are only 1 week away from the 1st qualify sprint in the history of Formula 1. It will be next Saturday and as you may know, it is not with the purpose of attracting young people to the sport since as we know the young generation is a lost cause for the level of attention. It will be a race of 17 laps in England, Silverstone.
I am also curious about the new qualifying and sprint race format, I can not quite classify it yet but I will look at it once without prejudice. Silverstone has always been a good track for Mercedes in recent years, what do you think, can Mercedes fight back against RedBull at Silverstone? Mercedes had three weeks to draw some conclusions and try to reduce the gap in the race pace. On the other hand, this is not such a significant period to do something epoch-making. Another question is what some experts saw in Hamilton's order to let Bottas go ahead in the last race, because he has a faster racing pace, as a hint that Mercedes is no longer betting on the title in the personal championship, but is shifting the focus to winning the Constructors ' Cup.

Points finish for George Russell at 2.25 at Stake. There could be better lines out there if you shop around tho. Anyway, Russell could push it a tad more since it’s his home race. I really thought he’d get them at Austria. But no... 10th time’s the charm. I think fans are gonna like the sprints more and start to really have some interest in watching the practice sessions. I kinda tend to avoid watching tbh.

There are still 11 more series left for MotoGP. What are Quartaro's chances for world champion this time? Moreover, last year's world champion Mir seemed to be swallowed up by the earth, he didn't look great this year. Even though he has been on the podium 3 times, I prefer Bagnaia and Zarco who are strong rivals for Quartararo. But this year it looks like Quartararo has an open and bigger chance after a good half of the season.

Silverstone has always been a good track for Mercedes in recent years, what do you think, can Mercedes fight back against RedBull at Silverstone? yeah this new format is going to get more attention other then the usual as most viewers will only watch the qualifying session and raceday and only F1 die hard fans watch the free practice sessions, this new format going to get us hooked to watch the qualifying on Friday and see how teams act in a short period of time as they only have 1hour from FP1 to set the car for the Qualifiers, then on Saturday we will have the Sprint race and it can be seen as a an extension of the normal race because if someone doesn't do well in the qualifying he still have 100Km to make some gains in the Sprint race before the actual 300Km raceday on Sunday. I'm still a bit undecided and I don't think I'm the only one, also the FIA will think so this year only on trial at some races. I hope I have time that I can look at it. There are still 11 more series left for MotoGP. What are Quartaro's chances for world champion this time? https://www.wettfreunde.net/motogp-wetten/Fabio has odds of 1.4, so bettors also assume Fabio will be the world champion. I also think that he will make it, he is currently the best overall package, as in past years Marc, currently only Fabio can push with the Yamaha really well.

Actually I was a little surprised by the results of Quartararo's race with Vinales. They are one home but why are they far enough away in the race results. Do they only concentrate on 1 motor only? If you see this Ducati is very different, they have riders who are not much different in terms of race results. Indeed I think the driver factor is the main but I think the bike also has a big role.

Halfway through the season, Quartararo has 34 more points than Zarco. There are still 12 MotoGP races remaining. Speaking of Quartararo's chances, my country's local media said he was the favorite to win this season. But if you look at the rest of Quartararo's struggle series, it's still very long. If he is able to perform like this half of the season, maybe he is the champion. But I think a lot of other teams are improving the bike. Ducati will probably be their toughest rival.

Exactly, Silverstone is actually a high speed track and also think that exactly here the deficits of bad aerodynamics or cars with a weak engine come to light. I also think that Russell can not compensate for the first deficit (aerodynamics). Would me there also not dare to bet that Russell comes in the points, the odds are 2.25 that he comes in the points?

That leaves 4 spots to fight on between a lot of good drivers Aston Martin and Alphatauri cars are still far better cars then Williams even Alpine are doing much better so unless there is a miracle Russel will be finishing near top 10 it's better to wait and see how is going to do in qualification first.

If I were mercedes, I would see this season as a loss cause, since Hamilton already agreed with mercedes for this long, I would give up on Bottas as well, and start focusing on next years car. If they know what they are doing and with new regulations they end up being great, that would mean that they would probably have the best car, hamilton, george russel and a brand new season at their hands. However we are at a very very early stage for now, which is why they do not end up focusing on the next car, because they still have something like 70% of the races left, which means there is a good chance that they could catch up, like Toto Wolf said, one and two at silverstone would mean that they would be back up there and that would make them have a real fighting chance. I just do not think that it will happen, but at least that is the situation looks like for now.

The Yamaha riders have to be very late and hard on the brakes to overtake, so Fabio is in the best form at the momet. The other 3 riders are struggling with the setup and the tires, when they are behind in the race it is very hard to overtake. This is my information from different interviews and articles.

I still dislike this new system, not the extra sprint thing, I just do not like the way it is done and the points given and that's it. If you do qualifiers you are telling people to have a flying lap and in that case people like George Russel could show their talents, hell even Mick sometimes gets something so lower levels are actually looking like they could be doing something, of course when the real race starts all they get is blue flags as we all know but it's still quite fun to watch those qualifiers.
Those are still there so I am not worried, and racing for qualifiers is not a bad idea neither but I wish it was more like "let's see what your total time will be in 50 laps" type of thing instead of everyone racing, so instead of one fastest lap, you get fastest 50 laps instead, but people wouldn't be racing with each other, it would be like qualifiers where people get out one after another and do not usually get near each other, or have blue flags at worst, that way it's not a full race but still everyone does 50 laps and then you see who is fastest and who is slowest and decide the positions according to that instead of a race.
Secondly getting points for qualifiers? That's just not fair, you already have big teams getting most of the points, why give them even extra points on top of that? I would say that's the biggest problem with this, just remove the points and I would be fine with it.

What country are you from, because you write your media? The season is still long and Rossi also said that unfortunately Yamaha has no updates at the moment and it will be difficult. But this season Yamaha (also in the last seasons) does not have the best bike, but like before Honda with Marc has the best combination. Fabio is in a top form and can perfectly compensate for the weaknesses of Yamaha, not like the other 3 Yamaha riders who have no confidence in the bike or not enough. If Fabio will be mentally strong enough until the end of the season, the chances are very good for Fabio as world champion. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Ah ah that livery is absolutely hideous ! Looks like something out of Trackmania !
The front wing is massive, like it was some years ago (with the 2m wide cars), same with the low rear wing making a comeback.
With the covers on the wheels we don't even notice they're very different than before (18" instead of 13" ).

The weekend of racing in Silverstone is here finally and this is a true legendary track with lot of action happening in almost every year we have raced here.I predict this to be no different and this track greatly favors the aerodynamics at first and then the power engine, sounds like an advantage to Redbull to me but let's see what Mercedes has prepared for this race,I am sure they will fight back hard to give Lewis a chance to be back at winning races.

I also really hate the paint-job of that car and also that weird shiny effect that the painting has. The car itself does actually look like a huge step backwards, if you compare it to the extremely complex aerodynamics that the cars have now but of course that was also the intention. The front wing is now much more simple which means that the dirty air that cars experienced when they were close to another car now has now a much smaller impact. Which means the tyres of the following car will not wear out so quickly anymore, which hopefully means that we will see much more close racing in the next season. Also that car is just a example for the fans every team can still make developments and with an actual nice paintjob those new cars can look good too.
