801  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: September 15, 2018, 07:15:54 PM
Cryptocurrency erases national borders. It's good on the one hand but bad on the other.let's say you ordered a t-shirt in another country and paid for it with Fiat money. What's going on.The price of the t-shirt includes tax. This tax goes to the state.and now imagine that I bought a T-shirt for crypto currency and all the money to a penny fell into the hands of only the seller.I'm fine, the seller is good, but the state remains with nothing. So crypto will solve social problems but economic ones are unlikely. In other words, I wanted to convey the idea that many governments will delay the adoption of cryptocurrency as a means of payment as long as possible.
The point that your bringing is one of the biggest reasons of why I think governments are opposing cryptocurrencies but one of the main reasons of why eventually people are going to adopt them, people do not work for the government it should be the other way around the government should work for the people and we are finding out that governments really think it is the other way and that is why they have grown so big and cryptocurrencies are going to be the way to make them small again.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 4 common mistakes made by investors into ICOs on: September 15, 2018, 05:38:43 PM
Probably the biggest mistake when it comes to investing in icos is that people rush too fast to invest in this market not understanding that there are going to be thousands of opportunities for them to make money, it is better that they at first get a very solid foundation about what to look for in a new ico, but people are desperate, they want to earn as much money as possible and they do not want to wait but this produces a very chaotic market in which they lose a lot more money than they should.
803  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: September 15, 2018, 05:13:08 PM
With a concept they call fractional reserve banking, banks practically create loans from money they do not have, debt out of thing air, they can make 100$ loans from deposit of 1$ you make and s charge interest on it
That is their biggest money maker not only they get to make money out of the money that you let with them so they keep it safe, which in my opinion is an abuse, but not only that thanks to fractional reserve banking they can loan money that they do not even have, this is why banks are so powerful because they are allowed to print money as if they were a government and they are responsible for a great deal of the inflation of the currency supply in a country.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is the market so sluggish? on: September 15, 2018, 04:37:23 PM
I do not understand panic so, everyone knows when the criterion is controlled by whales waiting for the price to rise to the level that they need. Do not need to sell your coins, wait a few months and everything will be fine.
You don't have to understand it you just need to recognize that the panic is there and act accordingly, panic is not something that you can understand with reason it's a feeling, and when people think that the market is going down very rapidly and that they are going to lose money if they do not sell their coins that is when panic appears, however I do not agree with you that you will only need to wait a few months for things to go back to normal we will probably have to wait for years.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to invest? on: September 14, 2018, 09:43:57 PM
You should invest that money into ethereum and monero. Splitting it into two is the best way and making sure that the money is evenly distributed between the two coins. Diversifying is the best thing for you, it is the best way to mitigate the risks when you are investing. If you are looking for another good coin to invest in then you should be looking into neo
Diversifying your investments is a good idea but only if you are investing a lot of money in the market, if your investment is low you are going to lose a lot of money just in transaction fees, so if that is the case it is better to invest everything in a single coin, as long as one of those coins as you say is ethereum or monero or a similar coin like that then you have nothing to be afraid and you will get profits if you invest at the right time in this market.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why other ban cryptocurrencies on: September 14, 2018, 09:10:06 PM
McCall Robinson is not wrong. Any government that wishes to control bitcoin but could not will see to it that cryptocurrency is banned in that particular country. Also, one reason I see why other countries ban bitcoin is its unpredictability. A lot of people could lose money and if they did, the economy of a country will be down. Plus, if the government of a country is corrupt, they may not agree to legalizing bitcoin because it might expose their evil deeds, right?
But that is going to be a big problem for governments in the future, it's obvious they're going to be unable to regulate this market, but if they ban bitcoin then they are going to lose even that little control they have over the market, are they willing to do that? That is going to be an interesting question that they will need to answer, this is a problem that China is having right now after they forbid cryptocurrencies, they are finding out that instead of stopping the usage of cryptocurrencies, that usage has moved underground.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked by a poor hacker on: September 14, 2018, 06:03:36 PM
Just want to share my experience for a week ago.my wallet was hacked  by a poor hacker  in my opinion because in my wallet not more than $200 and the hacker was hacked only $80 when eth for the gas  transaction was run out.very so sad when we waiting for the best price and i will sell it but it was hacked
Well it is never a good thing to get hacked, you need to try to figure out how the hacker got access to your wallet and you need to prevent that even if the amount of money that you lost was small you can not let this happen again, what it's going to happen if you really become successful in this market and then all of that is lost because the hacker stole your coins from you? Second about your assumption that a hacker was poor, it seems irrelevant, but you must not assume that if the hacker is able to steal 80 out of 1000 people then now he has 80000 and that is not a low sum.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do investors think about ICO? on: September 13, 2018, 07:35:37 PM
Considering the last Crypto conferences in USA ICO market is dead and public ico will never work again. Only private sale investors get profits. This market is changing very fast.
I do not think the market of icos is dead, but it's certainly facing a lot of problems and the irony is that most of those problems were created by the developers of icos themselves, they were so greedy and they wanted so much money to develop projects that were not worth even 1/10 of what they asked that now no one wants to invest in icos and we cannot really blame the investors since they have reported record losses with the last year icos.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC scams on: September 13, 2018, 07:16:29 PM
I have seen evidence of some scams being run under the guise of KYC in order to gain your passport and government issued id's.  Be careful out there and remember that a lot of these coins end up being scams.  Do you really want them having your passport/photo identification?  This is how people fall victim of identity fraud so please think before sending your information in.

This is only going to get even more common as time passes, the greed of the people is going to make them to send those documents to people that they do not really know, this is why I am never going to participate in a project that ask for my information, not only because I care about my privacy but because there are so many scams going on in the forum and in this market that it is very difficult to distinguish which project is real in which project is a scam.
810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run!!! on: September 13, 2018, 05:28:10 PM
It seems that everyone wants a bull run to happen immediately, I will like the same but I need to recognize that I simply do not see it, the market is not in any kind of big trend right now, it is just moving in a range, sometimes it goes below that range and sometimes it goes slightly above that range, but that's it, so there is not a new bear market coming and there is not a bull run coming either, I know it's hard but you will need to get used to this because I think it is going to last for years.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: September 13, 2018, 04:38:46 PM
Gambling has some benefits, but there is a lot of propaganda out there that condemns it just because a few people get addicted to it, but to deny that there are some benefits is a mistake, if you play in a physical casino you'll find friendly people there and you can make new friends, sometimes you can even make business contacts by going to the casino, that is in fact a very common practice in my country where two businessman after making a deal go to the casino to celebrate, also if you like to make sports bets you'll soon understand that you will need an advanced knowledge of mathematics and probabilities to become a winner.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think should invest in BITCOIN now? on: September 13, 2018, 03:50:45 PM
I think it's also so good now that we can buy lots of bitcoin, because we will also get lots of benefits by waiting for higher price increases, because seeing the development of bitcoin prices are now also increasing.
Investing in bitcoin is always a good idea, now you may think what about those that invested in December and paid 20000 for their bitcoin? The truth is that if those people were willing to wait for enough time for bitcoin to grow in price even they will be able to recover their money and get profits out of their investment, but they have decided that they want nothing to do with bitcoin and that's the right, but I'm sure that sooner or later they are going to regret their decision.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO PEOPLE STILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BITCOIN? on: September 12, 2018, 08:56:22 PM
Why are many disturbed about the  drop in the price of bitcoin  Cool. Come on guys, this is the not the time to give up on this amazing digital currency. Although this year has been a very volatile year for bitcoin, but one thing has always remained whenever this amazing digital cryptocurrency goes down, it bounces back much stronger than it was before. This is hope that keeps most crypto enthusiasts like myself who are resilient and have compelled us to develop a strong faith in this amazing cryptocurrency called bitcoin. Please this is not the time to give up on this amazing coin.  Roll Eyes
All of those that have left were here not because of bitcoin they were here just for the money and that is all, right now only those that believe in bitcoin and what it represents are still holding their coins and I prefer it that way, we do not need people like them, that only like to speculate with the price of bitcoin and only care about the profits and nothing more, what we need are people that are truly devoted to the advancement of the technology.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Matters on: September 12, 2018, 06:46:47 PM
Steve Jobs' last words;

“I  reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.

However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer …

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth

Blah..Blah..Blah"

Bad news, it was just a hoax. But only them who acquired the most have the ability to say it!
Source

Only the poor will understand this song.

"If I hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor"

Sit Down by James.
This is something that I have thought for a lot of time, money is without a doubt important no one should deny that, but at some point if you are lucky enough to get enough money to last you a lifetime then you need to look for something else to do, no one has ever thought on his death bed that he should have spent more time working, everyone thinks about spending more time with their family and with their friends and doing stuff that they like, so once that you have enough money you need to find something else to do.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins better than bicoins right now? on: September 12, 2018, 05:20:35 PM
If we talk about the situation that is developing now in the market, bitcoin looks much more stable than altcoins. If bitcoin fell in price 3 times, the altcoins 10 times, and some even more...
I agree but if you are in this market as a trader or as an investor and your main purpose is to make profits then even if bitcoin is more stable I will keep my eyes on altcoins because it's clear that is where there are opportunities to earn a lot of money, I know that the volatility also means that you can lose a lot of money as well but as we know it is impossible to obtain great profits without taking great risks as well and I'm willing to take those risks since the opportunity that we are seeing in the market right now is not going to repeat itself.
816  Economy / Economics / Re: The new economic crisis is the transition to crypto. on: September 12, 2018, 04:35:32 PM
You are right about investing in strong fiat currencies (USD, EUR, etc), but the government of a country that is close to default can impose severe restrictions for exchanging them with the local fiat currency and vice versa. Thus crypto currencies can have an opportunity to be an international reserve asset in the crisis times for ordinary individuals.

I guess that the probable world economical crisis can affect the crypto currency world, but it will be an alternative transactional payment system.
We know that big money uses the major fiat currencies as a way to protect themselves in times of uncertainty, however it is likely that the next crisis is going to involve precisely those fiat currencies, just look at the huge debt that the government of the United States has and that is going to be impossible to pay, at some point people will recognize that the US dollar simply should not buy as much stuff anymore and that is when an opportunity is going to appear for alternative currencies like precious metals and cryptocurrencies.
817  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep all crypto in trading platforms or wallets? on: September 12, 2018, 04:03:45 PM
If you are a day trader you do not really have a choice, you need to have your money into the exchanging platform so you can take advantage of the rapid movements in the price of cryptocurrencies, but if your trades are slow where you like to take long positions that last for weeks or even months then it is a good idea to keep your money in your wallet since losing a few minutes or hours before the exchange receives your payment is not going to be critical.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: September 11, 2018, 11:20:02 PM
How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?
Many people think that banks make money only by loaning money to other banks, people or businesses, but that is not accurate many banks also participate in different kind of investments, many banks participate in the stock market and in the bonds market and that is where they make the most money because many banks are very well connected and know before hand many of the things that are going to happen in the market because of their connections and they extract money from people that way.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: September 11, 2018, 10:48:10 PM
I agree with you.People In a country of higher unemployment rate for instance would be able to make a living full participation with crepto.
Cryptocurrencies by themselves are not going to lower the rate of unemployment or to make poverty to disappear, in fact it is quite likely that cryptocurrencies are going to create even more unemployment, after all the blockchain can just to a lot of people and their jobs and the jobs that it generates are going to be very specialized and not everyone is going to be able to perform them, so a world that is dominated by cryptocurrencies is going to be better than the current system but there are still going to be a lot of challenges ahead of us.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is the market so sluggish? on: September 11, 2018, 09:58:24 PM
It is very clear why this is happening, after the bubble at the end of the year of 2017 people began losing confidence in cryptocurrencies especially those that only entered in this market to speculate with the price and that lost a great deal of their capital, you need to understand that investors invest an amount of money that probably took them years to save and if you lose it then you're not going to get that amount of money in just a few months and even if you could many people will choose not to invest in cryptocurrencies.
