Thanks, I have gone through the thread and notice that "Last edited has always been there on web version so the mobile version isn't that much of a news. Thanks once again.
8002  Other / Meta / Edit notice has been added on: January 10, 2019, 07:34:53 AM
I just notice that when a post get edited a notification appears as seen below making it easier for forum users to identify an edited post.

So, as the edit notification have been add, do one still need to add the "edit" world before adding their sentence since the notification doesn't indicate any specify edition but the whole post or the "edit" is no longer needed

8003  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: January 09, 2019, 10:15:10 PM
Really I didn't expect merit on that post. On the other hand I know very well most of reputed member/merit source or holder never enter this board due to over spam.

Post deserve it, also take the merit receiverd from them as my new year gift for your effort towards fighting scam Wink

If all reputed member just avoid that board then who will cure ? I don't know why CryptopreneurBrainboss mentioned it here.

You just said why I mention it.  I believe if users start noticing merited post on the board from reputed users  more often than usual, there could be a probability of them increasing their posting quality just to get merited too,  giving back BD her past glory. Also will love quality post to stand out by been highlighted with merit on the board.
8004  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Account on: January 09, 2019, 08:55:47 PM
You permanent ban is the result of plagiarism, Did you made any plagiarism on your posts?
😂 are you expecting a yes answer?

Your account Immor108 was autoban on 1/8/2019 at 9:12:14 PM as seen on Meta Log on your BPIP page.

Hint: mostly when accounts gets autobanned it's as a result of the abnormal activities notice on the account like change of password, email, woke up, etc spam, plagiarism etc . If you did those then that was the reason for Autoban but if you didn't then kindly wait for a more direct answer for the autoban because you'll get one.

Earning Bitcoin is good, but don't depent on it.
Description : An advice to those thinking of quiting, posted by Coolcryptovator
Category : Opinion, Advice
Section : Bitcoin Disscussion

Topic itself is a decent one, tried to search through replies if I could find any post worth meriting but I couldn't (you can give it a try).

Edited: @suchmoon and @The=Pharmacist thanks for the feedbacks I'll try to improve in identifying quality (maybe get a little bit closer to your standards) on my next report.
8006  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: January 09, 2019, 04:33:26 PM
there is no point increasing average wage if productivity isnt growing

The last time minimum wage increase was 2011, it was increased from N7,500 to N18,000. Price per dollar was N158/$ so it increased from ~$48 to ~$114  since then, Nigeria became the biggest income in Africa 2017 that's to show you how productivity have increased over the years.

8007  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Isn't this merit thing getting more monopolistic politics? on: January 09, 2019, 04:09:32 PM
* - I personally think that low level members who get merited mostly should consider their category to be promoted with them hand-in-hand
So what you're trying to say is users with member rank should consider only meriting users on the same level with them and (maybe) lower ranks?. I disagree because  doing so will defeat the purpose of the merit system as it was introduced to highlight quality posts made by forum users of all rank instead of concentrating on a particular rank.

Out of generosity of helping lower rank users rank up, one can concentrate on meriting them but that shouldn't stop you from meriting quality post from higher rank users when you see them.

I believe the main purpose of the merit system was to highlight a quality post when you see one so that shouldn't be neglected irrespective of the posters rank.
8008  Other / Meta / Re: [Report] Ban Evasion on: January 09, 2019, 05:58:15 AM

I believe the suggestions above made by @iasenko & @suchmoon will be the more healthy appropriate to this (i.e reporting directly with ban appeal link to moderators) and if you feel like continuing then edit your topic and post more findings there instead of opening a new post for each accounts you find.
8009  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: RE: How to earn Bitcoins - Part 1 on: January 09, 2019, 05:32:37 AM
    What is your opinion?
    • Should MINING be excluded from the How to earn Bitcoins topic?

Yes it should be Also there are some altcoins I believe are still worth mining like Monero XMR

    • Are BTC faucets worth the effort any more?

No they aren't, in fact it's a total waste of your time, just as the above user said instead of engaging in such act go get a job that pays in bitcoin or work for blockchain related project that's pays in altcoin which can be traded to bitcoin

    • Are we truly stuck with just trading or buying to increase our BTC wallet?
No, we aren't just stuck with that,  we have other options like investing in ICOs (DYOR) and future STOs

    • Are the other suggestions for the topic still valid?
Yes they're and it depends on your field of interest, earning bitcoin through gambling still pays and it's advicible to only engage in such if you have the skills.[/list]
8010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the benefits of EOS? on: January 09, 2019, 05:06:54 AM
I have recently come across a number of projects with the tokens released on the basis of EOS. What's the reason behind it?

Eos is gaining some ground over ethereum of recent due to the following reasons
    • Governance on the EOS blockchain are carried out through proof of stake. The higher number of tokens you have determine your voting capacity resulting to giving power to very few billionaire/eaely investor
    • Using the EOS blockchain is free,  there's no transaction fee making the blockchain more attractive to developers
    • EOS sacrificed her decentralisation to increase capacity and speed over Ethereum. Making it faster when executing a transaction, i.e the transaction per second on the EOS blockchain is faster than ethereum

Bitcoin Is Really Meant as a Peer to Peer System
    Description : Use of Bitcoin
    Category : guide, opinion.
    Section: Bitcoin Disscussion

The second paragraph when poster describe bitcoin as freedom giving us freedom over our choice of usage made me fall in love with the reply also I believe the post has some sense and meriting it will make it stand out also there are other average quality replies in the topic, you can read through them.

This is surprisingly (for BD) a not-very-shitty thread but I'm sure it will devolve soon. For now I've spread some merits over there. Thanks for sharing.

    Glad I could help.
8012  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MERITS: Will doing this be uncertain, or should I do this? on: January 08, 2019, 03:23:16 PM
I've been awarding merit for posting behaviour, rather than just for individual posts.

I second you on this. I also put that into consideration when it's someone I haven't merited before also I have merited users for following post rules when quality was average for keeping the forum healthy.

@Stedsm, you can try increasing the amount of smerit to the quality posts you merit maybe that'll solve your having much smerit issue. Notice you didn't merit any user  between November -December last year and your first merited user in 2019 got 15merits (and receiver is using it for a good course)  so you're good.
8013  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: January 08, 2019, 02:42:47 PM
I think you cannot compare two totally different countries and their wages as the living costs nowhere near similar in this two and therefore cannot be compared.

I compared Nigeria with South Africa, America was mentioned there because that's the county other Africa countries wish to be like.  In 2017 Nigeria was the biggest economy in Africa and their minimum wage was still lesser than South Africa that came 2nd. Also many Africa countries are paying their works higher than what  Nigeria pays her workers.

Back to Nigeria though - what do you mean by "shut down the economy"?

Nigeria Labour Congress overseas the running of all four organisation that runs the economy of the county which means if they go on strike every other section will follow to understand how Nigeria Labour Congress works read her wikipedia page
8014  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: January 08, 2019, 12:25:28 PM
Just ran out of smerits and saw this thread (I have bookmarked it).  But I have one question, I'm mostly active on the Beginners & Help board and sometimes Politics & Society board so I'm inquiring if there's any restrictions to some boards because most post I come across are not of that high quality but deserve meriting & right now I don't have smerit to send.

Also I'll love to appeal to merit source since I can get their attention here.  Please when meriting our posts please increase the allocation. I'm not complaining of not receiving merit (I do receive so thanks) but please try increasing the amount you send. I get an average of 1 smerit from normal user I just feel it isn't fair receiving the same amount from you guys with exception to few.  Thanks. I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
8015  Other / Politics & Society / Monthly minimum wage: ~$82 is that too much to ask? on: January 08, 2019, 09:14:51 AM
The Nigeria Labour Congress are requesting for an increase in the minimum wage of her workers from N18,000 dollar equivalent = ~$49 to N30,000 =~$82. There's a law that states that every 5years a new minimum wage should be implemented but for the past (almost) decade no new minimum wage have been set.
Why am I writing this?,  Today there's said to be a planned  mass protest and if their agreement isn't met, the NLC will embark on a nationwide strike and this will lead to the  shut down of the economy of the nation not forgetting that we have our election coming up February.

Nigeria was one (don't know if we still are) of Africans richest nation with a GDP of over $376.4 billion +/- but can't pay her workers a minimum wage of $82 monthly. An average American if he/she works 3hour daily in one month considering he/she works 25days earns a minimum of $525 i.e $7 per hour, An average South African earns minimum of $277 monthly can someone tell me where we got it all wrong? Why is our governments finding it difficult to pay her workers a minimum wage of ~$82 monthly when the average governors earns a minimum of $50,000 not including his monthly allowances.

8016  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Decentralisation or Dapps really secure then ever??? on: January 08, 2019, 06:58:38 AM
Is Decentralisation or Dapps just secure or trouble free as well? Huh

It depends on the project, it irritates me when I read news that a decentralized project gets hacked I mean like how? Most of the project calling themselves decentralized are just semi-centralized project in disguise. Take bitcoin as an example, if a project is truly decentralized I don't think hacking it will be possible.

As for your other concerns I believe ETFbitcoin has done justice to them.
    8017  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trade self-moderated topics with caution – it’s possibly a scam! on: January 08, 2019, 06:47:14 AM
On the boards where trade should be carried out as provided by the forum you can't create topics with self-moderation option, that's why to stay safe on forum you're advice to follow forum rules don't misuse the boards. If you want to trade, use the right board and you'll be safe. The administrator are fast thinkers, they knew the feature (self-moderation) can be misuse by scammers and provide a solution on time.

Great and quality post OP. I enjoyed reading it.
8018  Other / Meta / Re: [Re:] Newbie avatar. on: January 08, 2019, 06:23:16 AM
We all already know newbies can't wear image so why you asking how to wear one like them. The question should have been why are those newbie accounts still been able  to keep their avatar after the new rule of only full member rank users above having the ability to wear avatar was implemented. Guess the answer would had been, it's a privilege of been an early adopted.
8019  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why did Macron arrest Eric Drouet on: January 08, 2019, 05:26:16 AM
Do you think this is part of the plan?

Maybe, maybe not. Trying to guess what this politicians are up to isn't something am that good at but I know arresting Éric Drouet at this time was just pouring oil on a dying fire.  It's was just an act of abuse of the executive power. It got to my attention after I saw the tweet from Jean-Luc Mélenchon but lets not forget Éric Drouet was arrested previously for carrying a prohibited category D weapon to an unauthorised protest and the one he was going to was also an unauthorised  one so maybe the police got some intel. Lets see how it plays out this time.

8020  Other / Meta / Re: I seem to be finding some reasonable posts. on: January 07, 2019, 09:54:10 PM
I must say I am very moved by your interest in the oppression going on in developing countries where the leaders are getting fat of the masses especially in Nigeria where most of it citizens leaves in poverty and the government has refused to increase the minimum wage which is at the moment a minute $50 a month even with the treats by the Nigerian labour congress to go on strike if it's not increase to around $85 they government remains adamant a whole lot of oppression is going on in the country

There is a possible solution, lets vote out the current government in the person of Mr Buhari and vote in a man who has promise to regulate blockchain technology.I did a topic on politics and society boardt on this. Lets give him a chance. I know he isn't a saint but he's the best option right now. We can't afford to give another four year of our lives to the current government to continue ruling

I don't understand why some posts are given merit, and I suspect that many don't understand some of my awards.

Having excess smerit and emotions plays a big role in this.
