8001  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: September 06, 2016, 08:01:57 AM
I never buy bitcoins because the price is always to high to buy bitcoins you can better deserve them or trade with it so than you need to make more coins with trading than when you buy them and hold.

If you consider the current price to be too high, then you can just buy yourself like 0.1BTC or 0.2BTC for example. You don't have to force yourself to buy a whole Bitcoin.
8002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar , a failure ? on: September 05, 2016, 09:57:47 AM
I mentioned that in the thread 1 year ago or so, I knew it wouldn't be a success from the beginning. It's such a difficult task to make a Bitcoin "eBay".

It also lacks advertising. I am here for quite some time now, how many times did I see anything telling me about OpenBazaar? To be pricise, zero as in nothing. How can someone then expect OpenBazaar to gain popularity? Without advertising it's going nowhere.

The main problem is that you cannot just advertise it on Adwords, due to many people just forgetting it before even knowing what's Bitcoin. It should be on crypto related stuff, such as blogs and faucets. I bet it'd increase it's reputation.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps that it is a good idea to give OpenBazaar some shine through a signature campaign as well. If nothing happens regarding adverstisements, then it will remain an unknown thing.

8004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Price Predictions for 2016 Range as High as $1200? on: September 05, 2016, 09:35:18 AM
I want the value of the Bitcoin to be $1200 at the end of 2016 because then I can really make some money if I decide to sell some Bitcoin.
But still do not know if it is going to happen so lets wait and see what will happen.

Of course it's not going to happen. We might not even see that price next year as the closer we come to the $1000 level, the extremer the selling pressure gets. If we can get the price to increase with around $150-$200 every year, then it's already a great achievement. $1000 is not realistic at this point.
8005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China buying help the price to recover? on: September 05, 2016, 09:20:30 AM
Why do you think the whole China will only look into buying bitcoin during Yuan's devaluation ? I would assume they would increase their holdings in other currencies, which are not as volatile as Bitcoin because they will obviously be investing a large amount of their money.

I agree that Bitcoin isn't at the top of the list of traditional investors when it comes to moving their wealth to another currency for example. But Chinese people do like challenges as their investment style can be seen as very risky, which to a certain extend can even be seen as gambling.

OP; It won't make people jump into Bitcoin, but I hope at least they have Bitcoin in their mind as a serious option. They don't have to put everything into Bitcoin, even 10% would be enough to give Bitcoin a massive rocket boost.
8006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: September 05, 2016, 09:12:58 AM
I t is very possible to replace bank, reasons:

3. some banks use blockchain service now.

First of all, it's impossible for Bitcoin to replace banks. Second, there is no bank using the blockchain technology yet. They are only researching the possibilities of it. That's far different from actually using it. Third, if banks every adopt the blockchain technology, then it will be their own version of the blockchain, and not the one from Bitcoin. Wink
8007  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your least favorite thing about Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2016, 08:59:15 AM
My least favorite thing with Bitcoin is that when you buy Bitcoin you then have to wait a long time before you are going to be bale to make a profit.
That is why you have to be patient with Bitcoin.

Patience is the key to every investment, but your statement isn't very fair as you basically blame Bitcoin for not going up as much as you are hoping for. You have to look at it from a yearly point of view. If I take myself as an example, then this year alone I have made over 125% profit, and the year isn't even over. It's done via trading, selling some coins at the peak in June, etc. It's up to you how much profit you make, not Bitcoin. If you are active, then you can make great profits, if you don't do much, then you won't gain much.
8008  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-04] Bitcoin Price Jumps to $590, Bull Predictions Coming True? on: September 04, 2016, 10:54:39 AM
It's too soon to get excited over this. Let's first see if the price maintains its position above $600 first before going too much into details. Bitstamp still has to reach $600 at this point.
8009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rising to 600$ , pure manipulation ? on: September 04, 2016, 10:48:13 AM
It's just an out of nothing increase. That's why I don't understand why certain people directly think the price will hit $700 again, or even a new ATH. These kind of increases mostly don't last very long. Looks like Bitfinex was the first to initiate the increase where then Chinese exchanges followed with a massive green candle.

5% of increase or decrease in a day for bitcoins no need of any big news because it is common in bitcoin trading. For you 30$ may be more, but when we look at 5% then it is not so big for bitcoins. Just someone might have brought more compared to sellers yesterday and which might have created demand for bitcoins and price went up. I don't know how long it may survive at that price.

News doesn't drive the price upwards. The only impact that news has is negative. Any price movement is a more than welcome thing for traders as me. It means money making opportunities.
8010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now Everyone is buying on: September 04, 2016, 09:06:59 AM
Is everyone seriously buying bitcoins right now i dont think that is true because the price of not really trustable to buy right now because they are saying that the price will drop allot so if you wait a couple of weeks it will be better to buy them over then.
now is the right moment. bitcoin experienced a positive trend increase. I think prices will continue to rise and are higher. bitcoin rise will continue and make the exchange market more attractive. we wait, there will be more people who buy bitcoin this week.
Positive way always come many times in a few month but we always stuck closer to $600, i don't think this is a right time to buy bitcoin maybe better wait to see the price can touch $600.

It already touched the $600 level on most of the exchanges, beside Bitstamp as that exchange peaked at $598.64. People should have bought before this increase happened. There is no need to wait for the price to go up to start buying as result. It makes you miss out on profits.

8012  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: September 04, 2016, 08:50:07 AM
If i desperate in money the best solution i can think of is loan from someone, or maybe sell anything that can become money, or maybe borrow money from friends, hopefully when someone desperate they wont try to scam anyone for money

Selling stuff is the better option, because when you don't have any money left, and you take a loan, then you'll get yourself more into troubles if things don't go to plan. That being said, desperate people are the type of people that do scam others in order to get themselves some money.
8013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin spiking to $595 on: September 04, 2016, 07:49:07 AM
Everyone prepare for liftoff....hehe
Helooo 600$ again nextweek.im pretty sure of it. As i said before bitcoin will definitely go up when "ber" month comes.
Its time to collect btc for the christmas.

You should have collected your coins before this increase, when the price was closer to $500 at the time the Bitfinex hack started to kick in. Wink
8014  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price check august 4,2016 is $605 according to preev!!! on: September 03, 2016, 11:21:22 PM
bitcoin price increases. The news is good. price already broke above 600 USD. possible this week week bitcoin prices could reach 700USD.
This highly anticipated.

Classic example of how someone gets too much hopes from such a small increase. Yes, it touched $600 but that doesn't mean we'll hit $700 any time soon. We don't even know if we fall back below $600 again in the coming days.
8015  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: September 03, 2016, 11:12:03 PM
There are considerable chances, but It will not happen this year, I suppose. The good news is that we are certainly in the way to the moon again, due to the consistent demand that is increasing, and that's very important for Bitcoin to have a successful future.

From where do you get the impression that the demand is increasing? Just because the price has gone up like $20 today?
8016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: September 03, 2016, 10:49:22 PM
It is good way as i earn from it a lot  but it is pretty slow way to earn

It would probably be slow as the OP also mentioned in his question that would it be a good way of earning money if we hold the coins for a long time, and that long time does not guarantee you if how much you will earn, now it depends on the value of the coins, if it rises more you will earn more and if it just stays low then you wont earn much.

we should have to rely on long term investments in bitcoin as I have experience in that, with long term I do not lose any coin, as a few months ago I bought some coins at $600 and after that the price dropped to $506 and then started to rise again and today I am seeing the price once again at more than $600.

It's not a big deal when you buy some coins at a certain price, that it starts going down from there. You don't lose anything at all if you don't sell your coins at a loss. Just having patience for the price to go up is enough to see your coins gain value again. This of course is assuming that you have bought your coin at decent prices and not at peaks as the all time high back in the days.
8017  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2016, 10:38:54 PM
Sometimes I have some doubts if this will be the year of the bitcoin, but I truly have some hope that it will rise to a higher level this year and that it will be the year of the Bitcoin.

If your definition of "The Year Of Bitcoin" is price related, then the near collision with the $800 price level in June makes it exactly that. The price won't go higher than that anymore this year. Don't wait for something that isn't going to happen.
8018  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: September 03, 2016, 10:17:11 PM
Technocally bitcoin wallets are strongest for money storage but legally bitcoin can be considered as a black money storage by some rule governments they will blame bitcoin if they can not defete it but whi cares i don't

It of course depends on what country you are living in, but in well developed democratic countries Bitcoin is mostly seen as part of your wealth. In that aspect it's not black money at all. This is of course assuming you declare your Bitcoin holdings. If you keep them away from the government, just like you are saving fiat in certain islands where people think their money is safe, then it's being considered black money by the governments.
8019  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-03]GoFundMe Removes Bitcoin From Africa Youth Campaign on: September 03, 2016, 10:12:01 PM
We should all boycott GoFundMe until they change their policies. You should think they would stick to the most important things in life to offer a

service that benefit the people, not their own f#$#% pockets. The politics behind these decisions make me go crazy with anger. It just shows you,

why people operate sites likes this.. not to help other people, but for their own benefit first.  Angry Angry Angry Angry

Politics from the highest levels never do something without putting themselves in front of anything. Especially when it comes to countries from the African continent. Themselves first, people last. These countries don't like Bitcoin at all as it gives people power and financial freedom. In that aspect I'm not really surprised by this.
8020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: September 03, 2016, 11:06:01 AM
My biggest problem is currently low price, but its better than great swings.
Bitcoin should work on bigger blocks coz its needed in near future but devs works on it so everything should be ok Smiley

You're here long enough to know that the current price is far from low as you call it. You don't see what kind of effort is required just to keep the price at current levels. If you knew, then you wouldn't call the current price low. 2MB blocks will surely come, it's just a matter of "when" this year, or next year. The current 0.13.0 client has segwit implemented, but it's just sitting in the background without doing anything yet. We can only wait for the day this feature get triggered.
